There's no more coremods folders starting from MC1.6.X serie coremods is something from the past, all mods go in the mods folder, and nothing ever in the .jar, any mods that would try to get in the minecraft.jar would violate Mojang copyrights, some modders feels that they have the right to do it but they're wrong and sooner than later Mojang will make sure no one can mess up with the minecraft.jar anymore.
Question:
I'm running a lot of mods that spawn in new monsters, and I'm trying to use the protect module to disable *some* of them (specifically Lamda Craft --- dont want aliens running all over the server) but I also have some I *want* to enable (specifically "Special Mobs" which give alternate versions of vanilla mobs (such as electrified creepers)) When I turn on the Mob Check, it seems to disable spawning of all the "special mobs" creatures... Is there a way to fix this? even if I have to type out all 40 special mobs monsters into a config file, it's better than losing the monsters completely.
Having issues with a fresh install of forge essentials. Best I can tell not finding or connecting to the files it needs to download for first time instals
NVM after addin the post the crash files was easy to read and it hyperlinked all the files i needed to download

Not been able to figure out the command. I'm the server owner so I've been editing the config file. This is what It says right now (was just testing so I added zombies)

Also, I was wrong about it preventing the spawning of all other-mod-mobs by default, I ran into aliens after a night or two, apparently they just hadn't spawned at the time, I'll have to try adding them to the config manually, but using that 1 line, all the zombies (including the "special mobs" zombies) have been disabled.
I'll see what I can do about it.
Currently, FE mob restriction (be it spawning or /butcher) depends on modders putting a (FE-specified) marker in their entities, which they don't. So most likely we'll have to crowdsource a list of mod-added mobs, and then feed that into the system.
Which version are you using, as they only have 1.5.2 release.
There are early 1.6.4 releases you can get from lucas1998's blog but if you didn't already know that, you probably shouldn't even consider using them. Seriously, the Forge Essentials 1.3 pre releases have a ton of problems and has up to the currently availible version, 1.3 pre2, been considered unstable..that the next planned release, 1.3 pre3, has been upgraded to "VERY unstable" should give you an idea of where in the dev cycle FE currently resides. And since people generally treat such warning as suggestions and install unstable versions anyway (YOLO!), make sure you have an actually working (as in true and tested) disaster recover plan...especially if you put FE anywhere near a live server.
Tl:dr You can get an 1.6.4 version of FE but if you do so be aware that FE may empty your bank account, give your children traumatic scars for life and randomly put the word "Kreboptloplatic" (which isn't even a real word but still considered very rude) in all your documents, even the ones you printed out on paper.
just curious. are you guys making a 1.6.4 compatible version of this ? this is a heaven send for my MCPC+ server ! i've been wondering it was possible to add Forge Mod based items or blocks to Essentials Economy on a MCPC+ server for a bit now , just don't have the knowledge or know-how to do so even if it is possible. this will make that question absolete when and if a 1.6.4 version comes. awesome stuff !

Setting the server spawn point via /setspawn is not working for me. I would type it with an operator account, the server responds "Server spawn set.", but when a new person comes in he/she spawns at the original server spawn point.
Is it broken or am I doing something wrong?

I'm running the 1.6.4 version and so far it's stable and had zero problems from it. (Though I think it's listed as a beta-build)
