Bug Report:
When using a touch+dig spell on the seared tank, the tank block drops 2 off the block (I got 2 seared tanks for breaking the block with the touch+dig spell
Hey this is a bug i have for 1.6.2. I'm using a modpack called moonquest by shadowscarekrow.
I can't pretend to know exactly what mDiyo would/will say to that, but bug reports from modpacks are unhelpful, especially modpacks from Technic Launcher. Figure out what version of TConstruct it is, come back, and restate your issue.
On a completely different note:
I heard forge is literally boycotting 1.7. I must say, I wholeheartedly agree with that; Mojang should be either helping or hiring the modders, not BREAKING THEIR MODS, WHICH THEY WORK HARDER ON THAN THE MOJANG PEOPLE THEMSELVES!

Browsing around the forums and I saw this rumor and wanted to say forge IS coming for 1.7, I personally know AbrarSyed and he has confirmed that he is indeed going to be working on this project. As a modder I would get mad forge didn't update, 1.7 features (including limited shader support we've seen) opens up so many possibilities for new content many modders would not want to miss it, and I believe mDiyo, especially because of Natura, would agree. However, Risugami's Modloader support will be going away in 1.7 (this shouldn't be a problem for most of the modding community).

So I'm using TConstruct_1.6.4_1.4.7.jar does this help? I really would lke to fix this
Neither is Forge boycotting anything, nor is Mojang obligated to the modders in any way, shape or form. Modders take on the risk fully knowing their mods most likely will break the next update if a game that's it's being modded on has no official API or some sort of that.
Mojang knows it, the modders know it, that's the end of it. Mojang will not, nor should they ever work around the bazillion of mods just to make their game run smoothly with them. Mojang does however enlist the help of a select few modders here and there, the Horse update being the prime example, as these models are from MoCreatures, which is why the look so similiar.
That said, the 1.7 update is a very large code, I dare say the largest code update to this day with over 1000 commits, and half a million new code lines. If you're a coder you know what I'm talking about, if you're not, here's the short of it: Forge cannot update in "a couple weeks" or "a couple days" as usual. It'll take much longer this time. And then the major mods will start, which means pretty much you'll see actual updated major mods beginning December at the earliest.
Last not least, know your stuff before you talk shyte.
When forge was first started, Lex and cpw (and others) could work on it in peace for however long they wanted before sharing it with the community. Now however, we all know about it and are waiting; they basically have to redo half of forge and have to do it with the community knocking on their doors. They (and all who work on forge) will do great as they always have.
Mojang does feel some obligation to keep the modders happy because they are why half of us still play minecraft and why half of the new people buy the game. Even the mojang crew enjoy fiddling with mods (Grumm on forgecraft etc.)
Rongmario: I never deliberately crashed anything. There's extra data added to crash reports regarding GregTech and OptiFine due to all the cross-mod bugs they cause.
Yusunoha: The speed of repair is "if you don't use the tool constantly, it's probably fine". It repairs anywhere in your inventory.
Country_Gamer: That sounds like an ars magica bug. Go report it over there.
Type1Ninja: Forge is not boycotting 1.7, it's getting Gradle support. Where did you hear this?!
ModLoader has been abandoned, and probably won't be coming back, but that's different.
baseballstarsccr: The cast may be in there but not rendering. MCPC+ can cause quite a few bugs. I've no idea what else can cause such a thing.
Are you thinking of adding extra materials for tool building? I have a few ideas for extra tool materials.
- Gold being gold, it would be the softest metal out there. However, it makes up for this by being a fast mining material at redstone level as well as its parts bestowing Fortune 1.
- Glass would be marginally stronger than paper, but the worst material for mining, possessing a low mining speed and being of the lowest mining level. However, it would make up for this by having the highest attack power of the non-smelting materials. Glass fletching can also be used to
- Rubber would be naturally bouncy (adds Knockback) and reasonably durable, but a so-so weapon material. You could get this form almost any tree not grown in the cold by crafting a special tool and having a bucket on hand.
- Ironwood (Twilight Forest mod) would be marginally worse than steel in terms of durability, but have a larger handle modifier and have a chance of bestowing a random enhancement when a tool is created with this. No guarantees this will happen with every tool, and there's no telling what you'll get.

Uh, whoops. Botched the glass entry. Glass fletching can be used to up arrow speed, but make it weighty, moreso than slime and feathers.

Suggestions go in the suggestion thread. Also, use edit and don't quote your own post.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I may or may not play GT. I also might be playing it with TiC. Some Metallurgy and ExtraTiC could be in the mix too. I might have also dropped in some TE as well. Some AE and BC could possibly be on the list. And I maybe- just maybe - there's NEI to assist in short-term memory loss that I may or may not have.
So I'm using TConstruct_1.6.4_1.4.7.jar does this help? I really would lke to fix this bug: Hey this is a bug i have for 1.6.2. I'm using a modpack called moonquest by shadowscarekrow. I have built the smeltery and got it to work and everything. As the book states i melt a lot of gold into the smeltery. Then, hook up a faucet off a drain and into a casting table. Then I made a stone large blade and put it onto the casting table in order to create the cast for it. When I right click the faucet, the gold comes out and does the animation of forming a cast. However, once its done and i right click it, i only get the stone blade back, no cast, and it still used the gold. Also, the only aluminum i can find does not smelt when i put it into the smeltery. I really need help, any advice is much appreciated!
Type1Ninja: Forge is not boycotting 1.7, it's getting Gradle support. Where did you hear this?!
Being misinformed can make you feel very stupid. Did you know that?
I heard it on the Aether II facebook page. I should have remembered Internet Rule #1: Never trust a person with facebook. (not trying to flame anyone!)
On the other hand, 1.7 still makes me sad, as I can't use my client mods (totally not hax... ) on servers anymore, and, as a server owner, I'm going to have pressure not only to not play with mods, but also to update. Despite Forge not boycotting 1.7, what I said is still my belief; Mojang needs to be hiring or helping the modders, not crashing their very livelihoods.
Seems to be something with the creative items list in the dev version causing NEI pages to appear blank. Not sure if it's a known bug or not. Just wanted you to know. There is no crash log, just NEI derping out on a page full of Tinkers items. Can be confirmed in the subsets page.

thanks for the reply, guess I'll be putting moss on my sword then

Stone/Wood tools don't need smelteries, well anything thats not metal.
In addition, Thaumium doesn't need a smeltery either, if you have ThaumCraft installed.

Oh you can use Thamium in TC?!
Yup, it adds another modifier like Paper does.

Also, is there any reason to use metal arrow tips? They don't seem to improve the arrows, just increase weight.

Completely off-topic: What is Gradle? XD
