Just as a matter of interest, mDiyo, do you still read the suggestion thread? (please, please please don't get offended) It's just you do not seem very active on it. I'm guessing there are several people that have been posting on it that would like you to see their ideas. (including myself, of course. :P)
I meant as supported by this mod. Materials for other mods such as Thaumium from the Thaumcraft series for instance. Eventually Mojang wants to recode the game to track things by name rather than ID Number. This means that eventually things will be added to the Minecraft dictionary rather than the Forge dictionary. Communication between mods and modders is one of the primary bottleneck points right now for mod advancement.

If regular is Vanilla then what flavor is your Minecraft?
Is this a known visual bug with the smeltery? I noticed that when I'm not smelting anything for a while and there is still lava in the tank, it won't show me how much lava is left until something in the smeltery is near its melting point.
And, if there's another update in the near future, could you possibly add a 'chunk/shard' ingot cast? I hadn't noticed certain casts only requiring 0.5 of a material until I couldn't completely fill an ingot cast.
Hey mDiyo,
I've been a lurker for some time, and I just wanted to say awesome job on this mod. In my opinion, it greatly improves the minecraft experience without changing a lot ofvanilla game mechanics. I would also like to have a cape, if it's not too much trouble. My IGN is xXThunderstarXx, and the image link is http://imgur.com/zJgdW3C .
Tested and the amount is correct on the stable build, and thanks for releasing the API.
Just found something, started to play with liquids again *ducks*, and found out some smeltery items does not show when looking through water or ice.
Screenshots:
Thanks for making an awesome mod.
Best regards,
Glassmaker.
That is a vanilla bug (the same happens with nether portals) and therefor not mDiyo's problem in my opinion.
However this suggests an interesting design involving a near invisible smeltery so that you can easily see what's in it (I find the glass a little bit to distracting and they usually get filled with lava which gets in the way even more)
Also, haven't tested this but given the way minecraft works that bug will probably happen with stained glass as well.

Some people think outside the box. I throw the box out the window
Hey mDiyo, I was wondering if you could add boomerangs to the mod... Crafted with tough tool binding and two boomerang pieces.
And are you gonna add more thaumcraft based modifiers? Like using shards? Or making it so that tools recharge from the vis in the aura(with a modifier)
Also some guy up ^ there was posting about a cape... What does that mean?
Could you tell me what you think of these ideas?
P.S. are you planning on adding a longbow to the mod? Since you called them shortbows...

The best explorer in all of Minecraftia and an amateur thaumaturge at your service.
There's a bit of a conflict between your mod and Multipart. Apparently both of you are using 2 stone to make 4 stone rods, however yours seems to be the one winning the fight, and it is making the saw from Multipart unable to be crafted.
Could you include an option to disable or change the stone (but not cobblestone) recipe?

Strange. Which version are you using? 1.4.dev30.2 specifically added ore dictionary compat to the stone rods, so it and the latest release should be compatible. Or is this under MC 1.5.2?

But we are talking about mDyio's blocks, so I guess he should have a some kind of control on them.
by the way, you don't have to fill every glass or window (bug?) with lava as you can build the walls with glass and windows.
Have done some tests with stained glass, I can confirm they have the transparent effect, I agree with you it can lead to interesting transparent smeltery, so it's mDiyo's decision to keep it or fix it.
The issue with transparency is a Minecraft thing, not a TiC thing. Transparent blocks do not appear behind other transparent blocks. It's just how the game is set up. Any smeltery blocks you can see through will also be affected by this for the same reason. It's not something mDiyo can fix. You can see this with vanilla blocks quite easily - try looking through ice or water at a Nether portal, for example.

Yep. It is due to Minecraft having only one Alpha layer, or something like that. The reason glass seems to be transparent but you can still see other liquids though it is because, quite simply, it is just a block with large chunks of it's texture being 100% transparent, with just enough being visible to make you understand it is still glass. On the other hand, water, Nether portals, ect, all run on an alpha layer (assuming correct name again) that is the same. While it allows you to see other blocks through them, other alpha layers are treated just like how other solid blocks treat each-other. Fully opaque. I would bet that if you were to make some.... "holes" in the textures of other alpha layer textures like mDiyo's glass, you would probably end up with a very glass-like effect, where you have chunks of one color, blocking out the others but only for a small part of the texture, the rest of which hides nothing due to not existing.
It would require some massive code changes in minecraft to change this functionality, because Minecraft would have to fully re-write the rendering engine for alpha textures to make them dynamically layer each time it appears behind another alpha texture. I don't doubt that it is possible.... What I doubt is that it is possible without a pretty decent performance hit to the game.
And honestly, I doubt this would ever be done by Vanilla Minecraft for one, very simple reason.... only 3 textures in the vanilla game run on this alpha texture system that I can think of. It would be too much time and effort to fix this "niche" scenarios in vMC, so the effort is not worth the reward. While a great deal of the modding community would love this change, as the modding community is a lot less strict with the usage of Alpha textures because of the tools it gives us with some textures and effects, there is virtually no incentive to do it in the vanilla MC side of things. If this is ever to be changed for the modding community, it will be the modding community that makes this change.
how can you craft a diamond pickaxe if you have disable vanilla crafting in your configs?
You can't. You can craft a diamond enhanced normal pickaxe though (try "repairing" your normal Tinker pickaxe with a diamond some time, Diamonds are a 1 time modifier that enhances a tool's ability to harvest blocks up to the obsidian level, as well as a moderate 500 durability cap increase). Generally, this pickaxe doesn't have to last you long, as you are very quickly going to move right on to an Alumite pickaxe which will more than outdo it.
Unless you mean a true vanilla diamond pickaxe? Well, if you disable it in the config, sorry, it is gone. Those recipes are left in purely for mod support for other mods. It's at the user's (or server owner's) choice if the vanilla recipes are left in for mod support, or no.
The Tc villagers show that you trade fake essence. Can anyone tell me how to obtain them. I see an essence extractor in nei but it doesnt show me a recipie to make it

Hope it's something not that hard to fix

If you need a vanilla pickaxe b/c you need to say, craft a BuildCraft quarry then you need to re-enable vanilla crafting.
