just letting you know, when there's a bow from this mod in my hand it gets really laggy. As soon as it leaves my hand the lag goes away.
I found this true too. My fps with render distance normal and no short ow in hand is about 80. Same settings but with the bow in hand my fps lags to 28. That is a significant decrease. Another bug I noticed is how life steal on an arrow when shot by a shortbow does not work but when I use the arrow as a stabbing weapon it works fine.
mDiyo, I'd just like to mention that not all sounds are broken. From what I've seen, the tool forge still makes sounds when making tools, although I think it's using the tool station's sounds.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I may or may not play GT. I also might be playing it with TiC. Some Metallurgy and ExtraTiC could be in the mix too. I might have also dropped in some TE as well. Some AE and BC could possibly be on the list. And I maybe- just maybe - there's NEI to assist in short-term memory loss that I may or may not have.
Seriously mDiyo, you're awesome, your mod seems to become better each time I get back on this thread and fixing bugs is in your top priority list, not all modders are like you and a bunch of them could care less about bug reports, would love to meet you at the Minecon if you'll be there of course.
Awesome MOD! just started playing with it today, and immediately deleted all my other mods (IC2, Steves Carts, etc..). I Used one of my standard seeds (sorry, saw it on youtube and do not know the original finder/poster). Its in the image but Seed: 83188
I'm running the following mods:
Rei Minimap
Bibliocraft
craftheraldry
enchantingplus
findercompass
gravestone <-- Great MOD as well
journeymap
Natura
ropeplus
Tconstruct
TMI
to my knowledge only Natura and TConstruct will change anything in the world, gravestone adds to the world but not extra blocks so if the village is different I would say you need Gravestone.
also as a bonus:
You get a massive redwood right by the village. You spawn right by the pink tree over on the right which is just north of the village. There is a good amount of clay in the river as well.
In the two houses that are Tconstruct specific there are a decent amount of parts and plates to start with.
adds a few new things into the world, nothing huge unless you find the Wither catacomb.
I'm not going to get into it too much but it's a good mod. also your grave upon death is a good way to get your items back (sometimes)
I like them as a xp farm in a village. good way to build up and also keep the village safe especially the new villager added by Tconstruct. I like the continual challenge of building and fighting.

this is exactly, what i was hoping for tinkers construct.
i was hoping mdiyo would add a chisel stand or something similar, to chisel different varieties of mob and player statues, out of different materials.
I have a longsword made with an alumite blade, an obsidian hand guard, and a slime rod, with one modifier worth of Sharpness (quartz) on it - and I have gotten several zombie heads from this thing, and I don't do much fighting at all - probably less than fifty zombies all told, and I think I have four or five heads so far.
Is this supposed to be happening? I haven't put beheading on it at all, and it's not a cleaver, and I don't recall ever getting heads like this before.
Please remind me why you made the "Materials and You" book, because without this forum page, a new player would be helplessly confused with this advanced modpack, ESPECIALLY on the smelting bit, as the instructions within are VERY obscure.
Bow FPS is getting addressed soon. Less lag all around :3
I've been going through my designs for things. It has become abundantly clear that I need to start making mobs that do interesting things. This one didn't turn out bad though.
Kindar: You will need to explain that dupe bug to me.
Zjarek: Connecting redstone receivers is done to allow for putting out a whole line of redstone next to the drawbridge and triggering them all. That looks like a weird vanilla bug.
gokogt386: The Tool Forge uses the vanilla anvil sound.
NLZ: That's what texture packs are for.
BloodyPony: Graveyards are from the Gravestone mod.
sevenswords1: Arrows being shot from normal bows is planned.
AngelFeather: Other mods could be adding their own ways to drop mob heads.

Cofh core (needed for thermal expansion) adds a chance (configurable) for mobs to drop heads.
if diyo adds craftable gravestones than what incentive to get the actually difficult (sort of, not the worst, not easy either, those charged creepers are difficult to collect) graves would there be left however?
heck, we've barely been trying but so far we got one pretty nice diamond sword, spotted a few monuments and a total of 4 charged creeper statues but that's it besides the generic ones, i think losing the rarity they'd lose the point.
24 hours gone again, wasted in futility, welcome to minecraft modding, that is (unfortunately) our community.
(an ode to minecraft modding)
i keep making the same mistake, i think "oh, i've given them a few months, surely it'll be fixed by now" THAT is why i seem to ALWAYS be angry to some of you, my advice is to get the lead out.
there were nice things here, until the mod author threw a tantrum.
ONLY THE KNAPSACK AND HEART CANISTERS SO FAR!
