You just said ''miner drill''
But what is it? What does it do? Speed? Special features of the tool?
you just said mining drill and that is not giving info at all >_>
I am well aware of the Tool Forge not using the item in the 4th slot. I'm in the middle of making 5 new modifiers right now; it will be fixed soon enough.
NekoiNemo: Oreberry bushes have to be planted in darkness to produce more.
cibastian: Rarity is the chance per chunk, density is the amount per chunk. If you want more ores, raise the density value.
Zakhep: I love nerfs as much as you like trolling. ^^;;
Marvl101L: These are hammers, not mallets. Hammers have a bigger range, and there will be other ways of getting shards later.
Beheading is exactly what it sounds like. Go hunt creepers or wither skeletons for awhile.
Dodge34: I'm willing to make equivalents for enchantments, but modifiers replace them.
Dlothar: There is already a blacklist. The only block on it is the end portal frame.
chORANGE: That bug may or may not be fixed in the dev version. They work properly in the stable version at least.
summitsummit: The new tools haven't been balanced yet. It's more important to get them working properly first.

And the hammer is basically the tier 2 pickaxe so...
Any chance we can get a small buff on ardite generation? Right now I'm getting a great amount of Cobalt (12 after an hour in the nether) but ardite (5 in the same time period) is a pain to find.
Losing an ardite tool is soul crushing at this point.. and I have to make my wife some tools still hmmm maybe she can just have cobalt...

You can tweak their spawn in the config files I think.
While you're at it with the T2 tools, how about a claymore as a longsword upgrade, and a lance as a rapier upgrade (with the T1 weapon's abilities but better)
Using dev 58.
I've been tinkering with the new axes and they are really neat. I'm considering ditching TreeCapitator, however, I find I need two axes to really get the job done. Most trees can be felled with the lumber axe and while it chops all the wood, it leaves the leaves. So I need a hatchet too, to quickly chop the leaves. I tried the scythe but the hatchets are still much faster. I'm mostly curious if there is still balancing to be done, and what said balancing might be. Nerfing the hatchets would be a shame because they are awesome, but maybe adding their leave chopping speed to the lumber axe or scythe would be good. Or possibly even a config like TreeCapitator to break leaves when using the lumber axe.
A small bug. You can't place a torch using a tool on a block that your player occupies (like at your feet).
Pretty sure that's because the coding for the placing items is just the item next to it, so it wants the block to be free in case it's an item that takes up the full block.

As was mentioned, there is a config option for that. It looks like the setting you want is 'nether ore density' under the worldgen section.

The tier 2 tools are not meant to replace tier 1, but to supplement them. It is expected that you will be carrying around multiple tools for different situations. The tier 1 tools are for precise mining(useful for building/decorating, and mining around lava and other dangerous spots), while the tier 2 tools are meant to be used for mass-mining(useful for clearing out large areas, creating quicker tunnels). I do not know if it's the intention for lumber axes to leave the leaves behind, however.
found a bug, at least i think so. When i make a smeltery, i make it (correctly, i have made many before) The controller doesnt come on and i cant place items in it.

When killing a creeper with a vanilla wood sword and killing a zombie with my hands
I ran into this Null pointer exception
Couldn't paste the one that shows so there's the crash-report from the file.
There seems to be a point where speed doesn't matter any more.

Where do you find moss? Is moss stone involved somehow?

Speed is, after a certain point, pointless. That is because once you reach insta-break speed you can't really go any faster.

Do you know what the maximum speed is for most blocks?
