According to Level Up!'s page you retain your skills when you die. I just installed the mod all my it's self to test it out and whatnot.
I died, lost all skills and class.
Original says I'm not supposed to be able to use the minus button after I hit done and respec. (supposed to use book of unlearning) Well... I did. I use the minus button and moved my skills around a couple times.
I guess I'll add, I tried running it on my server, got this error a couple times:
Thanks creating a new world fixed that problem.
But I don't get any bonus XP from mining iron ore. The other ores work (coal, gold, lapislazuli, redstone, diamonds not found yet).
And you get way too high bonuses from mining, I've already invested 50 in mining and smelting after ~1h gameplay.

Could you update morgeh's wizardcraft mod? It hasn't updated since minecraft 1.2.5 without telling bit of information about if he is still working on it or not, so its safe to say he isn't working on it anymore. I hope you can update it, its one of the best magic mod's out there.
I will not be continuing the mod. I have too much to do school wise and I just don't have the time. If people want the source for it message me and they can continue the mod on themselves
)
the source are available (see above quote)
Can you update it ? This kinda thing for FORGE would be great!
Please and thank you
Woo-hoo! Two steam mods to my modpack, one more to go!

I couldn't help but notice the steambikes are a bit slow. You might even be able to sprint faster than them. Would it be possible for you to remedy this?

Pchan3's Airship was the first Minecraft mod I ever played, and it pleases me greatly to see that it's still around! =D Is there a way to set the climbing button to SPACE and the descent button to LSHIFT? That's how it used to be, but now when I set it that way, the buttons don't work for jumping and crouching anymore. Am I missing something? Also, if I have coal in my inventory, the ship just takes it, instead of waiting for me to put it in the fuel slot, which is a little bit annoying. =P
First, THANK YOU so much for bringing these back! I see a number of mods here I didn't think I would ever see again, and I missed them a great deal. I was always a big fan of pchan3's and formivore's work, and testing has shown they are in very capable hands. When I saw Steamcraft on your list, I was even happier! I have run into a small snag with it, however...
When placing wood (normal log blocks) onto a crafting grid in varying amounts, I get the following results when I click once to produce the planks:
1 log = 4 planks "in hand", no log in grid.(working as normal, in other words)
2 logs = 4 planks "in hand", no logs left on the crafting grid (where did the extra log go?)
3 logs = 4 planks "in hand", one log left on the crafting grid (so missing one log again)
4 logs (clicking twice to produce) = 8 planks "in hand", no logs left on the crafting grid (so missing two logs worth of planks)
Finally, I've tried to shift-click on a stack of wood, and gotten two stacks of planks back instead of the expected four. It seems that the crafting process now takes twice as many materials if they are available.
I was using a slightly older version of forge, but updated to .871, and the problem persists as described.
If there is any further information you would find helpful, you need but ask.
Edited Addition: I normally run about 60 mods at a time, and wanted to make sure this wasn't an interaction issue of some sort, so I set up a test install with only Mincraft, Forge .871 and Steamcraft. The problem appears to still be present using a single test. 4 jungle logs produced 8 jungle planks on shift-click.

Fixed. Was an issue with chisel and spanner recipes system.
Thanks for your support

Yes. Put Jump and Sneak keys to something else than Space and LeftShift.
By the way, LeftShift is dismounting button forced by vanilla Minecraft since "Horse update".
Having coal taken from inventory was in the original mod. You can keep your coal safe by putting it in the airship chest.
... and back! I've explored portions of two worlds so far. The first was a survival world pre-crafting fix. The second was a creative world post-fix. In neither world have I yet found any of Steamcraft's ores. This could be subjective on my part, but both worlds involved rather extensive cave exploration, including a ravine/cave/abandoned mineshaft mix on the creative world. Based on my memories of ore occurrence rates way back when, I'm upwards of 99% certain I should have seen some ore by now.
Also, the item sprite for the electric torch seems to be missing when viewed from the creative tab and hotbar. The placed item seems fine.
Ever notice how the reward for good work is more work?

I could swear i already fixed that texture...(re?)-fixed
All ores are generating, I can assure you. Some coding insight to help you if you want:
Brimstone generates under sea level.
Bornite generates under level 48.
Phosphate generates under level 36.
Uranite generates under level 24.
Volucite generates between level 12 and 28.
Generation chance doesn't vary with depth.

Thanks for the insight! I'm pretty certain I was at the right depths, and I recall both brimstone and bornite as being relatively common (about on par with iron or coal). Not seeing any got me paranoid. Maybe there's something wrong with my set-up. I saw tea seeds earlier, though.... hmm.
I'm away from home at the moment, but I'm going to install Buildcraft & Rei's Minimap when I get home, load up the creative world, set up a quarry to dig out a chunk, and run it from surface to bedrock. I'll let you know what I find when it's done. Here's hoping my chests are full of Steamcraft goodness!

Great work
Added to the OP.
here's the mod link http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/201155-v125v100morgehs-mods-wizardcraft-statues/
Ok, so it no longer crashes when I mine ores, but it does crash when I fish. I think it's when I catch an item instead of fish.
Crash log would be helpful.Anyway, I fixed one crash with fishing recently, so you might want to try redownload
SteamCraft first release is here !
Enjoy to your hearts content
