hey! I'm running biomes o'plenty which has a biome id conflict but I easily change your biomes to fix that issue, but for some reason when this mod is installed mo'creatures will not spawn in half the biomes. anybody else have this problem? Is there anything i can do? When its not installed all creatures spawn just fine.
What other mods are you running? There is currently an ars magica bug but I expect it to get patched very soon.
Yes I am running Ars Magica. I've downloaded the latest Dimentional Doors, now it writes "Ticking memory connection" and crashes. Is it the Ars Magica incompatibility?

Okay, so I managed to install the mod to the Custom Modpack on the Technic Launcher.
Is there any way to get stuff from the Overworld to the Pocket Dimension?
Ha dsomeone get kicked earlier while leaving limbo or something, the server output an error to the console but I couldn't find any logs for it.

23.05 23:07:37 [Server] WARNING [Minecraft-Server] seiakashi moved wrongly!
Okay, so update on what's going on so far in my game.
1) Those pesky doors no longer are an issue for me since I can get rid of them. I -did- forget to get screenshots though. Sorry. :/ I'll be sure to get some if it happens again.
2) I have a central HUB built for my doors, and I set a (Normal) Rift Signature to some home point in my Hub. When I need to connect a place, I use it as normal. Now, my Hub is suspended in midair in an Extreme Hills Biome. When I connect the two rifts and go through it, 90% of the time a brand new rift has the door starting backwards or sideways resulting in a nice, long fall. Is there a way to set the door's initial facing direction before the rift is completed? I am facing straight at what would be the door when I assign the first link. Also, I do know the Rift Blade change the direction of the doors after it's made.
3) The Chest/TNT room I had found to be a complete trap room. As I said last time I would not move one bit when I walked into rooms and found another one. Lit TNT then dropped in front of me and I stood there and took it anyway. Found another one like 5 minutes ago and I was ready: I had a bucket of water with me (or 4) and I did manage to save most of the first half of the hallway, as well as the wiring. Don't want to ruin it but it's not a dead man switch.
4) There's a room I often come across where it goes from the door to a dead-end wall with a plate in front of it that when stepped on brings about certain doom, but when you fall you see a door in front of you underneath the floor a little bit ahead. Trying to play "legit" if you will, is there some way around this without breaking the room or is there something wrong with some wiring? I did look around but I couldn't find anything.
5) I second all instances of Rift Doors in Limbo. Had my girlfriend host a LAN and I was in Limbo and crashed indefinitely with no way to log in without the game crashing. I had her deleting my player file to get me back in though. Sadly I don't have the logs anymore as I thought I had to reinstall to fix it.
At this point, that's all I see issue-wise in my game. Otherwise, I'm still loving the ability to just jump through these doors and cut myself 8k blocks or so of travel. Also kinda neat to find the rifts in the overworld that would be created by the "exit doors" inside a dimension before you get to that dimension. Managed to find my way home a few times doing that. Keep up the outstanding work! I know you have put a lot of effort into this, and I am happy to see anything be done, even if it's just acknowledging the issues.

A few of mine, as well as answers
1. when I store a rift and then remove it, it sometimes crashes my game
2.Somehow, The rift doors end up in different places
3. Sometimes the TNT room doesn't blow up. I go back, every time this happens, or when the room is about to blow up
4. I also saw the door floating in mid air. I think in that room, you have to quickly put a block below you, before you fall, or just simply break the room blocks.
If this mod was combined with gravitycraft, it would make a little sense, as well as making this mod much more fun, but I like it still!
Yes I am running Ars Magica. I've downloaded the latest Dimentional Doors, now it writes "Ticking memory connection" and crashes. Is it the Ars Magica incompatibility?

We are working on that now, should have it fixed soon.
Okay, so update on what's going on so far in my game.
1) Those pesky doors no longer are an issue for me since I can get rid of them. I -did- forget to get screenshots though. Sorry. :/ I'll be sure to get some if it happens again.
//Ok, no worries.
//I recently added this to build 70 or so, the most updated ones should have it. If its still not remembering the orientation you clicked it from, you can always go ahead and place a door there, though its more expensive. Ill make sure its working, and you make sure you are using a recent version.
//Yea, im adding quite a few dungeons atm and redoing a few of the existing ones, including this one. Think about 30 new ones, and I figured out how to import command blocks, too.
//Bottom got cut off somehow, fixing this one too.
//Wait, you say its crashing every time she logged in? I wasnt able to reproduce this, what version are you using?
At this point, that's all I see issue-wise in my game. Otherwise, I'm still loving the ability to just jump through these doors and cut myself 8k blocks or so of travel. Also kinda neat to find the rifts in the overworld that would be created by the "exit doors" inside a dimension before you get to that dimension. Managed to find my way home a few times doing that. Keep up the outstanding work! I know you have put a lot of effort into this, and I am happy to see anything be done, even if it's just acknowledging the issues.
yea your reply wasn't showing up when I replied. Anyway looks like I'm stuck with it now... First time it loaded up the dimension just fine after reloading the game, but now its coming up upon world load
ouch... Delete your player.dat to fix it if you are stuck. Hopefully this will get a patch asap, but I might be able to fix it on my end too, looking into it.
//Yea, im adding quite a few dungeons atm and redoing a few of the existing ones, including this one. Think about 30 new ones, and I figured out how to import command blocks, too.
I wouldn't suggest using command blocks. If they aren't enabled on the server running the mod then they won't work. And considering how most servers have them disabled...

//Wait, you say its crashing every time she logged in? I wasnt able to reproduce this, what version are you using?
Okay, maybe my wording was bad on that one. Situation was this: I was in Limbo and I had ended up finding a rift in there that had appeared in a "doorframe" made out of Unraveled Fabric. Upon finding this, I went through it thinking it was the way out. I was then thrown into a crash. Every time I logged into the game, I would get booted with a crash from there on until she went to her "server" and deleted my player file. On her end, it didn't even register that I would log in.
We were playing Tekkit, so I'm not 100% sure of the version at the moment, I'll have to pull it up sometime when I'm at home again. I would also like to mention that we were using the "Open Game to LAN" function in it. Maybe that has something to do with it. I dunno.
I do hope that this is helpful. I also did run into a couple of other issues regarding the mod while playing in Tekkit, but I'm not sure if it's a compatibility thing or not, so I'm not gonna post them until I can figure out how to replicate it first.
Edit: I just had a thought occur to me: I think I may have more info regarding the permanent broken rift doors. When I was messing around with the rifts, I think I had set up a Rift Signature of some kind first then I created the rift. Somewhere along the lines it messed up and made a permadoor. Same thing can be said for the one in my house so.. I think that may have some importance. I'll have to try it out later on.
By random dumb luck, as I pulled out my Ars Magica spellbook before I went into my first Dimensional Dungeon I thought: "Hey, I haven't backed up my save in a few days, I should do it now!". Since it hasn't been mentioned 5 times yet on this page, Ars Magica and this mod conflict! =)
Just for troubleshooting help, I've been using both for a few days now without any problems. However, the only thing I've done with DimDoors is to link Overworld locations and once accidentally enter a pocket dimension with the Rift Blade.
Overview: linked rifts still work great, dungeons are a no-go. Are there any other specific features which are confirmed to work/not work with Ars Magica?
The only "problem" I've noticed so far is that from Limbo, it seems to keep your momentum. I fell a bit of a distance from one level onto the black stuff, and died as the overworld loaded :/ Only happened once so far.
Really loving this mod and truly appreciate the time and effort you've put into it so far. Keep it up, and I'm looking forward to your next release!
Yes I am running Ars Magica. I've downloaded the latest Dimentional Doors, now it writes "Ticking memory connection" and crashes. Is it the Ars Magica incompatibility?

Any ideas on how to fix it?
Edit: Downloaded a newer version and it works now.
Is there any way to get stuff from the Overworld to the Pocket Dimension?
1. when I store a rift and then remove it, it sometimes crashes my game
We are working on that now, should have it fixed soon.
What version, and can I have a crashlog?
Thanks, im glad you are enjoying it.
Yes, I am aware. Its an ars magica bug.
I wouldn't suggest using command blocks. If they aren't enabled on the server running the mod then they won't work. And considering how most servers have them disabled...
Really loving this mod and truly appreciate the time and effort you've put into it so far. Keep it up, and I'm looking forward to your next release!
THIS MOD IS AWESOME!!!!
for you sir
now if only this mod played nice with ars magica
