@AAAvlar: I agree, but I started the project in Modloader. It would've been too disheartening to switch mid-project, so expect it in the nearish future when I'm satisfied that most bugs are gone.
I know this might not be much info, because I'm currently only using this mod and the Plenty O'Biomes mod, but they both work just fine in Forge for me. Although, I could be lucking out. Aren't most modloader mods compatible with Forge anyways?
I was thinking, once this mod has it's bugs sorted and officially converted to Forge, what about optional god statues that interface with specific parts of major Forge mods? A few ideas:
Aristaeus: God of Bees
Aris: Populate
Tae: Nearest Fertile Land
Us: Bees
Function: Spawns Forestry hives on grass in radius.
Azanor: God of Thaumaturgy
Az: Deplete
An: Nearest Node
Or: Flux
Function: Drains flux from the nearest Node.
???? (Can't find a good name): God of technology.
First Syllable: Charge
Second Syllable: Nearest Device
Third Syllable: Energy
Function: Charges nearest device with energy slowly.
Of course, each statue can be split up and used with other parts to give different effects, you could use the head and feet of the God of Technology with the torso of Azanor to create a statue that charges Vis in Nodes or with the torso of Hephestus, charges power tools in the nearest chest. Using the head and torso of Aristaeus with the feet of Quetzalcoatl plants seeds in nearby tilled soil, or with the feet of Beowulf to spawn monsters.

However, it's been getting tempting lately to put together a modpack that includes CustomNPCs, so I could definitely work in something along the same themes in the modpack's quests. Feel free to give suggestions of mods that promote an experience which minimizes mining grind in favor of exploration. I'll likely have to include Grimorie of Gaia to provide good models (No I'm not gonna directly change the default mob models)
Unless you want to get zombie pigmen, do not use Junubis near your pig farm...head of Jupiter, body and feet of Anubis. XD I learnt the hardway, thinking a roof would protect them.
The first one is a real god. Aside from being the god of bees, he was also the god of cheese-making, olives and the production of mead. I only chose Azanor as the god of Thaumaturgy because I couldn't find a legitimate god of Thaumaturgy (much less one that could be shortened to three syllables).

@ Nixeon1 Yes, most ModLoader mods are compatible with Forge SSP. I would just like to make Household Gods SMP, and Forge looks the best route for that. Not to mention it seems easier to get custom creatures working in Forge.
@Superbros15: Could you perhaps clarify which models you find ridiculous and why?
@113820: You are full of interesting suggestions! Increased spawn rates could be interesting, but there may be some cons associated with that I'll have to think about. And if you want a golem god...there should be a combination or two out there that does just that.
@ Pentiagan: My plan for interaction with other mods will be to give existing gods new powers should they detect the existence of other mods, rather than have gods which only exclusively work other mods. So Hephaestus might pick up the technological slack, for example. That being said, I'm really loving the idea of a bee god.

However, last night I wrote and tested some new code which should make them behave exactly as the guide says they do. I'm still hunting one last elusive bug before I update again, but I'll probably message you when I do!
Sorry, going to have to object to this one. Azanor should clearly create a Dark Node at his location, and gradually increase the size of the nearest node (his own dark node, if you haven't prepared ahead of time). This would fit with Thaumcraft's feel of things being dangerous for the unprepared, risks being a route to power, and preparation mitigating risks.
Just make sure it has the appropriate tentacles, mind you.

- statues may now: teleport other statues, clone themselves, or create new statues.
@ OhTeema: Statues exist in creative mode, under the decorations tab. All statues may be broken down and recombined as you see fit, with the effects of the statue changing as you change the pieces you use!
very nice mod but you used diferent names for them all like posiedon in roman is neptune and jupiter is zeus in greek and minerva is athena in greek just pick one form of the gods
what i like about this mod is that there are gods from different cultures like aztec, buddhism, greek and roman. so i think it would be cool to put in mabye some japanese gods because of the face there are many of them for example my earlier suggestion with te god of the sun and the god of the moon
Edit: heres an update i uninstalled the mod and reinstalled it but i still have no textures so i played around with my minecraft and i still have no textures
@ TheSTICK: I had no idea this would be an issue for so many people. The reason I bounce between Roman and Greek gods is mainly one of name length. A long name allows me to divide it between statue parts while decreasing the chance that another statue would also need that exact name.

nope the only modes im using is modloader and this mod although i tried getting optifine to see if that would work but still no textures but even though i can't play it fully you still deserve a
Can Gozer move other god statues? I made Gozer and it was moving around like usual, but when I made Heston, Heston moved around like Gozer. Gozer didn't move while this happened. I destroyed Gozer and Heston stayed where it was at the time.
While Hesaeson still doesn't work, Min-Aes-On works, but only spawns redston, and it doesen't place it in chests. Quet-zal-on works the same. Mi-er-on is the only one that drops more ores other than redstone.
Try Quet - Meth - On if you're trying to get ores? Or maybe Quet - t - on? I think it was one of those combinations that made the statue drop ores in pickup form, including diamonds and emeralds.
No problem! I think someone should make a list of these, and then share the ones that have notable effects. Like the Quet - t - (almost anything item wise), will drop those items in pick up form. Then I think I was using Hes - u - tus at one point, and my inventory kept getting filled with random tools, weapons, and armours. I even got a sweet diamond hoe. XD Sadly, none were enchanted.
@ Shempie3: There are Gozer variants that can move other statues, but I don't recall Gozer proper being able to do that. It's entirely possible that she can, though...
@Nixeon1: Good luck listing all the notable statues! I think in the future I may add some sort of guide or other sort of identification aid.
Small note I discovered, when a statue looks for the nearest chest, priority is given to the chest that is one layer below and in the direction the statue faces when the game is saved and reloaded.

Wow, this mod is insane, very well done!
Could I maybe suggest a Loki statue. The three attributes I could think of off the top of my head are: teleporting if you get too close (meaning you'd need a bow and arrow to collect the statue), transforms nearby mobs into other mobs and appearing as a different statue.
