Oh, what if you could use glowstone essence and nature essence to craft little glowing flowers? I'd love to light up my world with glowstone crops, but flowerpots are much neater and less obtrusive. And prettier than torches.
I'd like to report a particularly nasty bug for this. This involves the Applied Energistics Certus quartz changing into magical crops quartz rendering AE useless because the entire storage system relies on AE certus quartz and you can't convert Magical Crops Certus Quartz into AE quartz which forth rendering AE completely useless in FTB Monster 1.0.9. End of rant.
If you don't want to wait, you can download a later version of MagicalCrops with the old textures and replace them yourself.
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to come off impatient. I don't mind waiting at all. I just thought that the sphax textures were permanent. Now that you mention it though, I might play around with some of the old textures just for the fun of it. Thanks Mark.

Yeah this has been told to be before, the recipes seem to be hard coded on AE's end, this will be fixed in the future.

I take in all suggestions and comments on my mods, even if I don't reply I have logged it somewhere.
How would you feel about adding Ars Magica ores (Vinteum, Chimerite, and the forever painful to get Moonstone and Sunstone). And possibly a way to get the flowers that the mod provides (blue orchid, desert nova, aum, wakebloom, and tarma root). Those would be fun things to add, yet they are just for an individual mod, it may be unneeded for some but others would like it. Ways to farm the essence from Ars magica would be neat, as in mixing a magical essence of some sort, probably for AM2, then other elements like fire or water to get the fire essence or water essence. I like what you did with the new Food crops as well, but there should be more that could be done with them besides just making magical food. I do not know what to offer to do with that, but new forms of food would be sweet, like making 2 parts of the mod, core of magical crops and a core of normal crops.
In the MFR 2.7.5 changelog it states "Changed: MagicalCrops support moved to MagicalCrops' side". Does this mean compatibility will be reinstated with your next update?

Unless something's changed recently I haven't had a problem getting AE certus quartz from magical crops certus quartz ore by using either the TE pulverizer or the EIO sag mill.

Am I just missing something? So with the newest version I cant seem to get hard mode working. I prefer having to combine the essence into greater essence and then getting what I want. Yes I do have it set in the config
it's been alredy done there are alot of non magical food crops that i have encountered when breaking grass and for some reason theese crops randomly drop in the ground(somehow) and lagg my entire minecraft so is there any way to disable the normal crops part even the blocks part maybe..(i just wanna use the Ore crops only thats all)
Is it intended that they can't be automated by minefactory reloaded ?i haven't tried forestry yet but i wanna try it too i really wanna automate them can you add compatability if not alredy presend ?
1. The original poster was referring to the possibility of splitting the food crops into a separate file from the magical crops, so that it would be possible, should one feel the need, to play with one but not the other.
2. MFR compatibility was formerly a thing, but an update to MFR broke it, and it hasn't yet been fully reimplemented. In the latest MFR changelog it's stated that the compatibility is now on this mod's end of the deal, so it will likely be back in 3.1.7 or 3.1.8. Alternatively, if you go back a few pages I believe someone developed a quick patch to enable compatibility between the two mods.

There's a config setting to disable the food crops seeds dropping when breaking grass.
Mark, I have an issue with the food crops too. First off, most of them it's too hard to tell when they're ripe and ready to pick. The stages look too much alike. The only ones I find easy to tell is tomatoes and corn. Second, there are so many different kinds and they all do exactly the same thing. They kind of clutter up my inventory early game because there are so many different varieties. If there were reasons why it was an advantage to grow more than one kind that would be different, but there's not really.
Honestly, I like the variety of food crops. It's much more aesthetically pleasing. Perhaps adding some simple recipes that combined crops into a meal or something that increased the hunger/saturation points gained from consuming them individually would make them more "useful?"
Hi~! =D I really like this mod!!! It's so much fun <33
I've been playing with it for awhile now, and I have two comments to make!
One is a bug and the other is more of a selfish request~
Firstly, there's a bug with the Essence Glass that doesn't let you see any water through it.
Still water, running water and rain don't show up. I guess I should clarify that I've only been using
the Coal Essence Glass so I don't know if all Essence Glass is this way or just this type.
I didn't notice it at first and I've made the mistake of using Essence Glass throughout my entire house xD
and I can't see any of my fancy water features on the other side of the glass.
Secondly, I really like the Light Infused Blocks concept (because I hate torches and glowstone is ugly)
and I'd be super happy if you made Light Infused Quartz blocks. I made my house out of Quartz because I like the solid white color, and a Light Infused Quartz block would make my life a tiny bit easier. ^ ^
This isn't a really important addition of course; just a small thing for your #1 fan. =p
Also, I'm really sorry if either have these things have been brought up already.
I skimmed the previous two pages before posting just to make sure.
Anywho, thanks for listening to me~ ^ ^

I'm pretty sure this isn't something that can be handled in-mod, but a limitation with Minecraft's transparency rendering. Part of me thinks I heard that MC 1.7 changes that, but without changing the rendering engine (either officially, or through such means as Optifine), you generally cannot see one transparent texture through another. That's not for entirely untextured portions of see-through blocks like doors, iron bars, and so on - whenever one block has a tint, you won't see other tinted blocks through it.
I'm not sure where vanilla glass lies, but I've seen the same issue you describe through MC ice, Ars Magica magic walls, and so on; I don't think there's anything the mod authors can do.

Rotarycraft can be used to automate magic crops.
