If you're starting a new world, you're fine. The issue is that the TB item ID configs were not shifted from configs to in-game, while the MB item IDs in the configs are. (So 26090 in Thaumic Bees gave you an item with ID 26346, whereas 26090 in Magic Bees gives you an in-game item with ID 26090.)
Any way you'll change your mind on that? Most mod configs have item ids pre-shifted. (26090 in config means 26346 in-game.) Only a handful don't do it that way. (Immibis mods are the only ones that come to mind.) This inconsistency actually makes finding and resolving item id conflicts harder. (It's hard to tell at a glance if a particular mod is shifting or un-shifting their IDs.) If everyone is consistent, it's rather simple to run a program through the configs and find conflicts. (I have a nice perl script that does exactly that.) It's kind of been the defacto standard to store item ids pre-shifted.

when i add magic bees to my minecraft instance i get a permgen error a few seconds after logging in to a world. then the screen says "shutting down internal server" for eternity(as far as i can tell). I recall from somewhere the permgen has to do with memory, and when i remove magic bees everything works fine. Anyone know a fix. Singleplayer btw.
EDIT: Never mind, it appears that it might be nei addons
You might need to tweak that if you have less memory to play with. If Minecraft has been using default memory until now, you're about to see a serious performance boost!
what/which directory is the "minecraft.exe" referring to? i'm on a mac so would i just change it to "minecraft.jar" or is it more complicated? In addition do i just make a .txt file, paste the line in, and change it to .bat?
Oh. Gah, I'm afraid I have no idea what differences there are on the mac. Minecraft.exe for me is the launcher. So whatever it is that you click to get that.
I have NO IDEA if that bat file I pasted is a good idea on a mac. But you need to raise your permgen memory up somehow, so do give it a try.
And on a PC, a bat file is indeed just a txt file with the bat extension.
okay thanks for the help. I'll give it a try. (in case you need to help someone else who is on a mac, the launcher is .app on a mac)
EDIT: nope failure after multiple tweaks/tries. However using a similar idea, i was able to find this, which ACTUALLY will start minecraft:

The latest Extra Bees preview (13) still freaks out (and maybe in addition to Magic Bees), just a heads up.

Ummm, you seem to have added craftable dragon eggs... O_O
Although, blackdew's plugin doesn't show how to go about getting oblivion bees...
I do hope it is something obscenely difficult.
You should need a Frame of the Ender to breed the bee. They are crafted in the carpenter, 10 buckets of Liquid Emerald (using the Thermionic Fabricator to Pipette method) with a Dragon Egg and Impregnated Frame.
