I'm trying to run this with Minefantasy2 but every dirt block turns into a dwarven crafting table. ID conflict? Bug with MF2? Or something else? Help would be appreciated.
I think something else because I ran the 2 mods together. And it works well. Sorry about that.
I'm using Forge version 1614, but the same issue occurs with 1558.
When I use the latest public beta version (33.4), it breaks the weapons from Balkon's Weapon mod - namely, blunderbuss and crossbow now shoot arrows as if they were bows.
When I use the last older version that I can get (most of the links on the "update page", e.g. version 30, lead to an error page saying "This file is currently set to private.") - which is 29 - I for some reason get clusters of rohirric crafting tables in the overworld. It seems like it's overriding some ore, possibly metallurgy's.

Mevans,
Thanks for fixing that Dirt/Grass block generation issue. My players have been thrilled with LOTR! I was just getting around to moving from 32.3 to 33.4, and I came across a crash at startup:

Only in the dimension. Sorry. But there are mods that can make that happen
There's a version of Mob Spawn Control for 1.7.10? I found the thread for that mod a few days ago but the links to the 1.7.10 version led to a 'file not found' error.

Mevans, I seem to have found another bug. This exists in 32.3 and 33.4. Mobs from vanilla and other mob mods are spawning in Middle Earth. I am using Forge 1614 with Just Another Spawner. JAS has no configuration for any LOTR biomes (it can't even find them) and it can't spawn any LOTR mobs in the Overworld or other dimensions.
I've noticed that F3 will show a LOTR biome and a non-LOTR biome. Shire Woodlands is also Forest, and The Shire is Extreme Hills. Dale was Ominous Woods from Biomes O'Plenty. What I can confirm from logs is that JAS will spawn creatures in LOTR based on the non-LOTR biome.
There is no way that I can think of to stop this behavior from JAS. JAS jas no way of knowing that the biome is really a LOTR biome. My players don't recall seeing this in earlier versions of LOTR, although I can't be sure what version we were on before 32.3.
We are running with over 100 mods as well, although I don't know that that really matters. Let me know if you want any other information from logs or whatever.
I think something else because I ran the 2 mods together. And it works well. Sorry about that.

I'm having a bit of an odd issue with this mod.
Any possible fixes for either...?
yeah man same problem
Yeah, but if you look at the list at the second report, it'll name all of the vanilla biomes

Has anyone learned how to fix this yet? Just curious.

There will be no race selection. Skill system, not planned, but who knows.
is this mod dead or is it just taking some time?
not my mod but download this mod
ok thanks
not my mod but download this mod
Does the new combat system still affect overworld/non-LOTR worlds?
That pretty much killed this mod for me. I don't see any references in the changelogs, though.
Mevans,
Thanks for fixing that Dirt/Grass block generation issue. My players have been thrilled with LOTR! I was just getting around to moving from 32.3 to 33.4, and I came across a crash at startup:

It's a small patch, but it is in the ArmorProperties inner class that is being modified by your LOTRClassTransformer. It's modifying the ApplyArmor method and my guess is that you are modifying this as well and that the changes conflict. My hope was that you were merely inserting a new method and that you could move your insertion point to a place that wouldn't conflict with this patch (easy-peasy!), but I'm guessing that isn't likely to be the case.
I'm open to any thoughts you may have on fixing this on the Thermos side. I do have the source code for that.
Thanks Mevans!

Which ones? Hopefully ones that don't require any programming or coding skill.
Mob spawn control is one, idk any others.

Got it. Thanks! Hopefully, this will work.
Should help, if it doesn't, message their devs, maybe a fix will be made, dunno.
