Is there any way to make this compatible with Metallurgy? It also adds tin, copper and Mithril, and it would be nice to not have the two sets of all of those. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to use both mods.
I am having an issue here. I am running Minecraft 1.6.2 with a number of mods. I have included the list here. WHen I craft a ring and enter Middle Earth (and I have tried this in two different worlds) I find myself in Middle Earth but I cant see a single person or the Shire anywhere. I am doing something wrong:? I just walk and walk and there are no hobbits, no buildings, no people, just sheep and horses.

As many other people pointed out already, It seems to be not compatible with NEI and cause a crash everytime you view recipe related to this mod's item.
This mod is so great, but with this major flaw Its making viewing recipes from other mods cause crash as well now. That is, in some way, not being compatible with pretty much all my other mods through NEI.
This mod have so many interesting mechanisms, and I hate to remove this mod even temporarily. But I can't just remove NEI and be forced to learn all other mods by having their wiki or whatever open at all time. Please fix it for us.

For some reason, my textures are all white blocks especially for the mobs, am I doing something stupid or am I just stupid?

I think this is to do with incompatible mods. I've got it sometimes all I have to do is delete the incompatible ones and done.
If that's not worked back up your world saves and re-install Minecraft and Minecraft Forge again.
with all due respect, I would rather have someone who are more experienced with minecraft mods to answer my question. as in, knows what is NEI and what it does.
You could try backing up all your mods and re-installing them one by one to check which ones are making the error, It might take sometime but it should be worth it .
Also what texture-pack are you using?
Minecraft and Lord Of The Rings are my two absolute favorite things!

I just downloaded this mod and i was stoaked at how good this was,although i have some suggestions if you would like!
1.Rohan watchtowers should be populated
2.Mordor must have Barad-dur and mount doom
3.In rohan,because of the uruks,there should be rohan riders in sorta packs,they would patrol the lands and kill uruks.
4.Isengard,nothin more nothin less
5.Lindon should be here,the grey docks
6.I heard Minas Tirth is on the way so....gu
7.Anduin,the great river as a biome.
8.The city of dale withing the lonely mountains
9.Minas Morgul

No, Mevans won't make race-selection, because it would need editing base files, making the mod incompatible with some other mods, probably mods that edit the player in some way(Model, size, etc)
You can, however use the elven weapons, tools and armor to look like one of them.
I can't find the answer to this question. Would someone please be so kind to answer. When I travel to middle earth via the ring of power using forge and minecraft 1.6.2 I walk around and there are no people there. There are no animals. No cities. No elves. No hobbits. No dwarves, etc. I can spawn them on my own but I kind of expected them to already be there. Why can't I find them? Am I missing a plugin? Is my mo'creatures preventing them from showing up? All I see is empty land and I cannot figure out why... If I use spawner eggs I can make everything. I am using creative mode and there is nothing. Please help!!!

I think there is no problem at all because Middle-Earth really hasn't been built to look like Middle-Earth just yet (but will be soon I hope). If you look around you should find Lorien, Mirkwood, Gondor, Mordor, The Shire but these are randomly generated places so you just need to look around and hope to find what you want
How would I know if I am in Lorien or Mirkwood, The Shire, Gondor or Mordor? Will there be an announcement on the screen? Are there populated cities there with inhabitants or monsters or animals? Or is it just empty land? What should I expect to find there if I do arrive there in creative mode? I am not playing on a server.
