just tried this out, pretty badass visuals i love it
also wondering if its possible to add support for snow biomes from extrabiomes or forgotten nature? maybe by adding biome ids in the config or something

There is already an option for that. Check out "Biome List" in RubeAurora.cfg
Does this not work with Magic Launcher? I use that to manage my mods, since I have a few different maps I play, but I can't seem to get the auroras to spawn at any point on the map. To be safe, I've even let the time cycle naturally, and still nothing.

Wow, this is by far one of the coolest visual mods I've ever seen.
Things like this is why I love the modding community, such creativity put into mods.
Definitely downloading, this looks positively beautiful.
Yes? Sorry, this doesn't really answer my question. I wasn't asking about times, but about Magic Launcher. When I include the mod in the list, it tells me Forge is good, but that this one has "no mods found." I suspect it has to do with how it's packaged, but I couldn't work out how to re-package it so Magic Launcher could see it.

My mod is a coremod, so the installation is slightly different. You need to place the jar file that is in the download into the .minecraft/coremods folder.
Does this work on any snowy biome or a certain custom one?
In the RubeAurora.cfg there is a list called "Biome list". You can add custom biomes to that list. By default, all the vanilla snowy biomes are in that list.
It is an experimental value that makes it so that you can't touch the auroras. With it enabled, the auroras should stay a fixed distance from you. It has been a while since i tested it out, so I'm not sure if it still works.

I'm sorry, but at this point the mod is too much a forge mod to go back just using modloader.
