Cables of different colours, while not appearing to connect are still connecting, causing all of my server's ME Controllers to be displaying Controller Conflict, because they're connecting to each other.
Sorry about that you can re-download and it will fix that, both this and the above fix are server side so clients don't really need to be updated for them to work.
Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?
I am really thrilled with all this mod adds. The cross mod integration and everything about it is so seamless I without a doubt am using this in my next world.
If I could make a request though, could you make it an option in the config to add more difficult recipes, possibly in the same manner Gregtech does? I ask this for 2 reasons: 1, because I enjoy having my game have a high difficulty level, therefore feeling more rewarding. And 2, because this system is so ridiculously seamless/ perfect with other mods, it makes other sorting systems obsolete. I would much prefer if this was something I had to build up to. However, I understand that not all may feel this way, that's why I asked for a config option.

I'm not sure If I'm going to be adding a 'hard mode' or not, but I'm always working to make the cost / benefit ratio ( aka balance ) as good as possible and recipes are one of the areas that this affects, which are almost changing.
I doubt it will be to gregtech standards for complexity, but Expect more depth / progression in the mod as it develops more.

The new cables with the connected textures don't allow you to attach Buildcraft facades to them. They still attach to junctions, but if you try to attach it to a straight piece, it will just drop the facade. This is kind of annoying, because I'm in the middle of a big project involving hiding ME cables in walls with facades.

After further experimentation, I have determined that the facades were actually being placed the first time I tried. They are simply invisible on straight segments. If you destroy a piece of cable next to a straight segment that you have attached a facade to, causing it to become a joint, the facade becomes visible again. Also, you can still walk normally across the invisible facade.

I didn't necessarily mean Gregtech in terms of complexity, only a greater cost. I'm very glad to hear that you're thinking about balance though, as some developers don't particularly care for such.

Fixed Client side only rendering code, re-download rv8.c if you want the fix.
I really enjoy playing with your mod, I think you did a SPECTACULAR job with it! However, I feel like there is one missing feature.. The ability to keep a certain amount of items stocked in eg. a chest. You can do this with the interface, but it only allows up to eight items. Otherwise, GREAT mod! Definitely going to use this in my let's play!
Not technically true, its a little round-about, but it can do it
For me the recipes are pretty much spot on (and I do play with Gregtech on default\hardmode TE\hardmode Forestry) you WILL be limited in the size and complexity of the network you are able to make via the amount of quartz you are able to find even a dual 9x10 heads TBM didn't find an overwhelming amount, yeah it found a bit but when you are storage blocking Iron\Tin\Copper because your barrels are overflowing the few stacks of quartz I had is not a large amount.
I sort of expect in my new world (the old one got slightly corrupted due to my screwing around) that I will be back with a request to either drop the usage a tad or up the spawn
You probably know this by now but your mod is awesome and has A TON of potential.
Any plans on including a feature to keep an inventory stocked with a specific amount of items? (The interface can be used in this way, but its very limited because of the number of slots)
the scenario would be keeping an iron chest stocked with 1 stack of every "useful" item for ease of access (like NEI scrollwheel, or simply to avoid typing a lot of filters in the access terminal when you know youll mostly be working with metals, wood, glass and dusts of different kinds)
Thank you for creating this mod it really looks awesome so far!

PostAblindmind1:Tnt can also be uses to see caves underground...unless they removed that bug.
Malacodor: With enough TNT you can see caves without using bugs.
yeah, i saw that in an image the developer posted in the previous page, but i think its a workaround (and not a good one honestly), and even then, if i understand correctly your still limited to 8 items per sub-network.
i guess you 'can' do with a wall of interfaces, but its just another poor workaround IMO.

just reporting it in case it's something you may need to fix, the game didn't crash and all I was doing was shift clicking a few bits and pieces in and out of the access terminal.
Also after playing around with this a bit more damn it is good, possibly too good. Honestly I don't think you can balance the recipe cost to make them as expensive as they should be for the amount of utility that this provides, they'd have to be utterly ridiculous and basically uncraftable (I'm talking Holy Planks of Sengir level of cost).
When I closed my game just now I got this in the console,

Nope, its working like is supposed to, I'm just catching Exceptions there to prevent crashes, because anything that goes wrong in that spot is really irreverent. Thanks for being pro-active tho
I want to say this mod is amazing and I am just starting it in my very late game world. The recipes involve a lot of quartz which is hard to find and even so far in late game i'm struggling Which is good.
I just want to ask a couple questions, i was trying to find a way to make a system that will auto smelt/macerate stuff from my tunnel bore but the best thing i could find was making it so the import Bus keeps a supply of 1 of anything i want to smelt/macerate until the system is empty. Is this the only way?
Also a suggestion perhaps, when you are autocrafting something that needs to be smelted or something with the ME interface would it be possible so that it gets divided up if you have 2 of the same recipe? So if i had two furnaces that could both make Iron from dust and i wanted 64 iron, instead of only doing 64 in one of them do 32 between the two.
If that's how it works at the moment, my bad but when i tested it, it didn't split it up.
What's your XyCraft version? If it's 118+ and you had aluminum cans in an inventory from an earlier version they need to be deleted because they were messed up in the update.
Deleting the aluminum cans has fixed the crash. Thanks
Sorry about that you can re-download and it will fix that, both this and the above fix are server side so clients don't really need to be updated for them to work.
Unless there are any major issues, this will most likely be the last of the rv8 bug fixes.
Desktop: Asus ROG Maximus Formula | Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 | Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT | Creative Audigy 4 | 160Gb 5200 RPM HDD | 4GB RAM
Desktop: Asus ROG Maximus Formula | Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 | Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT | Creative Audigy 4 | 160Gb 5200 RPM HDD | 4GB RAM
I didn't necessarily mean Gregtech in terms of complexity, only a greater cost. I'm very glad to hear that you're thinking about balance though, as some developers don't particularly care for such.
Fixed Client side only rendering code, re-download rv8.c if you want the fix.
Not technically true, its a little round-about, but it can do it
I sort of expect in my new world (the old one got slightly corrupted due to my screwing around) that I will be back with a request to either drop the usage a tad or up the spawn
Thank you for creating this mod it really looks awesome so far!

i guess you 'can' do with a wall of interfaces, but its just another poor workaround IMO.

You're making me nerd out for the potential here. Very nice work.

Edit: This is AE v 7.d
What's your XyCraft version? If it's 118+ and you had aluminum cans in an inventory from an earlier version they need to be deleted because they were messed up in the update.

just reporting it in case it's something you may need to fix, the game didn't crash and all I was doing was shift clicking a few bits and pieces in and out of the access terminal.
Absolutely excellent mod thank you.
Nope, its working like is supposed to, I'm just catching Exceptions there to prevent crashes, because anything that goes wrong in that spot is really irreverent. Thanks for being pro-active tho
Deleting the aluminum cans has fixed the crash. Thanks
