This would make AE a TE Addon, which is silly, plus I have no desire to get into moving power around.
You can use a small sub network to route these components more efficiently. https://dl.dropboxus...ate_outputs.png the stone and the glass represent a magma crucible and a liquid transposer.
It adds a more expensive way increase the speed of crafting. It will also decrease energy usage as it is done faster.
I honestly think this is more complicated then its worth, crafting is very volatile; every time I touch it everything seems to break. and this is a pretty big change, I'd rather focus on the larger issues with crafting as I can get fixes and things in place rather then provide a way to make it craft things differently, not to mention the change that this implies to the crafting behavior.
I'm not nearly so worried about the speed of crafting as I am with its accuracy.
Sometimes I have a problem with crafting. It just stops and the crafting monitor gets cleared.
Can anyone tell me why is this? Or is it a bug? (1.5.2 / rv11.e )
This is a network reset, it happens when you change the network, or the network changes ( dark cables can also cause these ).
Hey Algo, I got the idea for a little extra mod, Industrial Craft 2 to combine your cable and Applied cables ^^ Is it easy to program matrimonial for you or? Greetings CookieGamerTV
I'm not really sure what your saying, but AE cables are not part of the IC2 Energy Net, it might be possible to make something similar, but its not going to be part of AE.
well i just had a nasty bug on my server, it even crashed the entire thing. i placed an interface at the input slot of a pulverizer, placed a recipe for cobble->sand in the interface, and told my network to craft 1 stack of sand. that caused my server to crash the instant i hit begin. same exact crash when i put a pipe between the pulverizer and the interface. could someone please tell me where i messed up?

this is using the 1.5.2 version.
Looks like maybe your version of BC is out of date ( AE is trying to use a new piece of code in it ) its trying to push something into a pipe, and is crashing, update BC and try again.
I initially came across AE while doing a bug finding test install (someone linked a crashlog on here in another mods thread and AE was the one mod I didn't recognise, so I installed it in a test instance just to see if it was the problem) but once I'd looked at it, it has been part of every mod loadout since.
Portal Gun's Ender Pearl Dust is not compatible with AE's, but given the completely different recipe this might be a good idea (Portal Gun's is made by putting a pearl in a furnace to get eight).
this is one is on iChuns side, since his isnt in the OreDictionary. It works with GT enderpearl dust for example. Nag iChun to fix it.

Yes, this is on iChuns side, any ore dictionary equivalent will work, like GT's works fine.
Is it my imagination, or is the Crafting Monitor bugged in the new version (12a for 1.5.2)? It seems to be reporting the missing materials in the currently crafting field.
Frist let me gratulate you for your great mod.
Second I would like to make a suggestion. Sometimes there are Recipes, especcially ones that involve liquids or multiple crafting blocks, that would be verry hard and hackish to implement with Interfaces, so I would like a Block that outputs a redstone-pulse when it gets a crafting request.
One could then use that pulse to enable valves/Pumps/exportbuses/... .
The ability to craft "token Items" and use them in crafting recipes would also be appreciated. These would be Items that would generate crafting requests but are not craftable themselfes.
With those two features it would be possible to craft Items that require liquids or perhaps comand a Turtle to build a hut with Items it gets supplied by the network.
redstone isn't really useful for the crafting system, it can easily make mistakes by not registering the lack of pulse, or hold the redstone signal on too long, its better to use a system where the liquids are already available and ready when crafting is triggered, and they are re-filled automatically.
Is it possible to have two interfaces above two machines (lets say blast furnaces) with two identical recipies and have it split a single "craft" order into both of those machines to reduce the time it takes to make the item(s)? If so, how?

This is currently only possible if you build a machine to split the load once the interface sends it, routers from factorization can do this really well, or you can design and build one another way.

I've never used a router from factorization before. Would you be so kind as to explain how the process would work? (Ex: Craft order is sent to the interface, which is directly attached to a router, and then BC piped into the respective machine(s), etc). I will do some research on what exactly the router does, but the process interfacing with AE is really what I wish to achieve.

basically the router can send its input into many machines round-robin, so you have the interface dump the items into the router, instead of the machines them selves, and the router puts them into the machines.
is there another way to have energy flowing into the me controller? buildcraft, ic2, and some other mods that has a kind of energy that can be used for the me controller aren't updated for 1.6.2... if factorization is updated for 1.6.2 could i use the energy from that mod to power the me controller or do i have to use another mod?

AE Supports BC, IC2, and UE Power systems, FZ power is not supported. there are a few UE related mods available for 1.6 and dev builds for IC2 are available.

um, who overflowed my wood farm?
Looks like maybe your version of BC is out of date ( AE is trying to use a new piece of code in it ) its trying to push something into a pipe, and is crashing, update BC and try again.
thanks for the fast reply. i updated buildcraft and it is working now.

Nice, This mod keeps getting better and better.

I initially came across AE while doing a bug finding test install (someone linked a crashlog on here in another mods thread and AE was the one mod I didn't recognise, so I installed it in a test instance just to see if it was the problem) but once I'd looked at it, it has been part of every mod loadout since.
Thanks.
this is one is on iChuns side, since his isnt in the OreDictionary. It works with GT enderpearl dust for example. Nag iChun to fix it.

Thankfully, your wiki has the recipe.
Fixed in rv12.b
Yes, this is on iChuns side, any ore dictionary equivalent will work, like GT's works fine.
Fixed in rv12.b
I think I figured this out, should be fixed in rv12.b
You can do crafting with multiple blocks with subnetworks without much hasle, https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9117298/appeng/rv11/rv11_seperate_outputs.png is a useful pattern for this.
redstone isn't really useful for the crafting system, it can easily make mistakes by not registering the lack of pulse, or hold the redstone signal on too long, its better to use a system where the liquids are already available and ready when crafting is triggered, and they are re-filled automatically.
AE Supports BC, IC2, and UE Power systems, FZ power is not supported. there are a few UE related mods available for 1.6 and dev builds for IC2 are available.
