Sure, I'm not much of an artist so I'm honestly surprised some turned out as nicely as they did
Here what I have done so far :
I'm gonna go sleep right now (it is way passed midnight in my time zone), so try to take a look and tell me if you like the way it's going

I'll have to throw in in the client and check it out, some might be a little too dark, I'll let you know once I've had a chance to look, I'll also post the new blocks.png a little later, there was a new quartz ore texture, and some new terminal faces for rv3.
Nearly the weekend for me, and I can finally dive back into the code for real and go crazy
Do you have any plans for an "advanced export bus" that can export more than one item? It'd be extremely useful for compact auto-crafting systems.
Edit: Aha, I tinkered around with that "interface" block, and found that auto-crafting tables can use it as something to pull ingredients out of.
Edit 2: And, I can attach an import bus to the crafting table, and it gets pulled out automatically...which isn't very good since it's eats up all of the resources on the network nearly instantly. Oh well

I've been thinking up some ideas for something that might be considered an adv-export bus, but hopefully it will be more then just 'more items' We'll see if I can come up with some cool stuff for this.

I have to admit this gave me a pretty good laugh, hopefully auto crafting will better serve you
If items can be wirelessly sent to a handheld terminal, why can't two ME cables get wirelessly connected?
I'd like to say something like bandwidth or something, but really its because I think that would make things far too easy, you could just run around making wireless transmitters and not need any cable anywhere, i just don't want it to work that way.

Hmm...good point. It was the same deal with the buildcraft teleport pipes. My reasoning for wanting a wireless ME cable, is due to the extreme scarcity of quartz, and how costly it is to run long cables up the side of my base. Of course, this balances your mod out, since you can store a nearly unlimited amount of items in a single block
just one question... how serious are you with this mod project of yours ?
are you working on this alone ? do you plan on having more people work with you on this ?
reason why i'm asking is that i dont like to set up an entire storage infrastructure for my single player city and after a couple of months get the sad news that you no longer wish to continue updating the mod and worse of all theres nobody that can/wants to pick up where you left off.
I have a pretty large city and this mod can very well be the solution for many little shops i am working on that needs instant supply on demand.
This is a very smart mod and i believe theres almost zero chance of lag unlike buildcraft or redpower with their entity rendering inside tubes
this mod does it in a safer way but can i risk investing time in using this mod ?
many thanks for creating it and sharing it with the community though!
Kinda a difficult question to answer, I'm currently working by myself, and I plan on continuing as long as I have fun working on the mod that's kind of the point at least in from my point of view.
I enjoy coding and coming up with new problems to solve, its one of the reasons why I enjoy playing MC with mods, the flexibly in solving problems and engineering solutions for them is in general what i do in the game.
As for other people helping, Bl4ckHole might be helping with textures, but that's completely up to him to see where that might go. I'm not sure about other future collaboration its only been 2 weeks since I officially launched this mod.
I'm fairly invested in the project its presently 177 Files, with over half a MB of code, it was no small undertaking to make it, nor will it be to maintain it for future updates, MC or otherwise.
I will say this however, If I decide to stop working on this myself, I will open source the mod, so that others can continue to improve it, upgrade it if they wanted to. I will not just stop updating never to be seen again, I wouldn't have bothered making it public if I had that kind of mentality it just wouldn't be fair to others who invested their time in playing with it.
so two questions how do i use a pattern encoder and what is the me encoded location pattern for?
Well the pattern encoder is for the upcoming autocrafting he plans on adding as for the other ill let him explain cuz im still figuring that one out =P

Pattern encoder is basically just like a crafting table, ( that doesn't craft ) and you put in your patterns and encode them on Blank Patterns thus making encoded patterns, you can those stick in an ME Assembler, and wait or rv3. .
In rv3 they will be used to control the auto crafting portion of ME. When I release rv3, I'll try to throw together a walk thought on this.
As for the Location Pattern, that's for a planned feature a little down the line.
maybe 1 tiny suggestion... adding an ME export bus that outputs one item when a redstone signal is received.
if you really want to make even more people happy you might just want to add in multiple options into the export bus allowing users to set the behavior.
default: keep filling connected inventory
redstone item pulse: one item per redstone pulse
redstone stack pulse: one stack per redstone pulse
redstone switch: same as default but deactivate when redstone is on
just a view of a possible future keep up the good work!
i'm already integrating this mod into my city project
I have to agree with the redstone thing. It's far too easy to accidentally strip your storage of resources by accidentally attaching an export bus to a autocrafting table.

I'll look into what kind of options might be good here, and come up with some modes of operation, if anyone else has ideas related to this now might be a good time to throw them out, so I don't miss something good
All this talk about rv3 is making me excited alredy have a part of my house picked out for it.Btw is the autocrafter gunna have an internal storage for the encoders or is it gunna be like BC autocrafting and can only do 1 per table?

The encoded patterns go in the ME Mol-Assembler, so you can cram a good amount in per block.
A bit of a minor complaint. The Terminal doesn't update when its contents changes.
Hmm true, I added that to the known issues list... Its something I need to fix but since its really not a huge issue I've been kinda ignoring it. I'l get to it eventually.
