I finally gave up trying to update BetterSnow to be an actual forge mod, and instead returned to the jar mod merger I used before. Due to forge now scanning for jar mods the install instructions are a bit more complicated, but they should not be too hard. If you have issues installing any version reply to this post and I will try to help!

Great! just tested it and my whole world like was filling with piles of snow fast. My brother got stuck in the pile of snow and it took me 2 minutes to free him lol. Great mod, keep the work going! Edit: I should make an installation video of this "incase people have trouble installing it"

Yeah I need to run into a baby zombie in a snow biome so that I can knock it into a snow drift and laugh at how slow it is! If you could make a video that would be amazing! I am going to write instructions for installing the mod with MagicLauncher (which is easier), but installing for the vanilla launcher is still hard.
The mod was all fine, everything was working well, but in a normal world biome with dark grass and a few trees. when it rains, water drops and snow like just appears on the ground.

Oh yeah I think I messed up the default minimum snow temperature... Was snow supposed to be in that biome?
Nope. If you still wanted snow in that biome, then you will have to change the water drops into snow.
Ok I made the minimum temperature for snow adjustable, but I think I set the default too high. I will have to fix that and possibly the snowfall rendering temperatures.

I plan to. My school started back and ATM all of my free time to code is going toward a core re-write of one of my other mods, but it is close to finished (hopefully by next weekend) and once it is I am going to add some new things.

Try forge 804 instead. The BetterSnow forge1.6.2a was built against an older version of forge, but 804 works for me.
