Well, I'm trying to use the gui. Normally I work under linux and use command line but for Forge a windows box seems to be the "ideal" method. Plus, no clue how to work with forge w/o eclipse (which I don't particularly care for). I've gotten one update to work, but still no clue how to store version numbers or any of the cool stuff lol.
sorry, getting my mods mixed up... what is /wand used for? When I saw /wand, I thought it was for MCPermissions / Region ?

Added capability to autosave data. User configurable timer defaults to every 15 minutes.
Does that mean your mod does every 15 minute /Save-all on your own?
It does not do the same thing as a /save-all. Basically I have no way to tap into the /save-all command so I had to implement a separate timer to save just the data for Necessities. You can change the number of minutes it's set to in the configuration file (or set it to 0 to disable it completely). Without this timer, the data is only saved when the server is /stop'd - which means a power outage could result in loss of new homes set by players since the last shutdown.

Ahhhhhh cool. I hope you and the MCpermissions guy can work together because it is like both of you have the 2 most popular mods for forge. He has permissions and a world guard type of mod, and you have necessities and world edit!
kdx7214, i can't thank you enough for this mod! It's working really well. But is it possible to colour the MOTD? Since several mods post updates it's kinda hard to clearly see and read it.

Whoops. I think it was the latest version and I forgot to change the version number in the source. Either way, I just recompiled with all the newest changes and reuploaded it so the link should work now. This also includes color support for the MOTD that I was working on.

If you are having a crash the server should generate a crash report that you could upload to pastebin.com and provide me a link. That way I can try to figure out what is going on and have a chance to fix it. As for the character limit, I'm not sure where you mean - is the chat allowing too long a message or is the nickname too long? If you can clarify that for me I can try to fix it

I take solace in knowing that if it's been a couple days, there's probably an awesome new version to this mod. You're also on top of all bugs and user problems. Thank you for all of it. And if I may suggest, is there any possible way of you adding a distance command? Like, just a simple way of altering the distance at which you can affect objects. Thanks again
I am attempting to use this mod and it seems to work fine with exception of /nick.
I am an OP. I can use the other OP commands like /setspawn. I can OP myself.
However using /nick gives me "You do not have permission to use this command."
Any suggestions?

Are you using MCPermissions? I will dig through the code, but there are two separate code paths for permissions and depending on whether you use that or not could make a significant difference. Will let you know as soon as I finish digging

Thanks for the detailed information! I hadn't considered the length of the total chat message when adding nicknames. I will look into that today and see if I can come up with a fix for it. Not sure how I will implement a fix for it though - as I have no way of limiting the number of characters based on the length of the nickname.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm certainly doing my best to be responsive and keep things moving in the right direction. I haven't gotten much new stuff working yet as I'm deep in the internals of worldedit. You can bet that when I do though, we will have a worldedit equivalent

WorldEdit is a work in progress. The wand command is there, and so are /butcher and /drain (although not 100% sure they are from worldedit lol). I'm working on schematic files right now, which is a tad more complex and why I've not had an update in a day or two. Once I get that the other commands should go much faster.
Currently I am cycling through my mods to see if one of them is conflicting with the /nick command. I will post here if I find anything out.
Check to see what options you have set in the configuration file. If you have it set so that /nick requires op that would be good to know. I've dug through the code last night and nothing jumped out at me that would be causing it. Try the /setmotd command (which also requires OP permissions) and see if it works. If that works then there is something conflicting with /nick. If it does not work then I need to dig into the whole permissions thing again. Alternately you can try /sethomecount as this also requires OP privileges. Thanks!

I have one question though, I am using a mod for protections that uses a ported version of PEX and I can not get MCPermissions to work along side it.
So I have been using this mod because without MCPermissions it still works because the admin commands require OP to use.
I love this feature but I can't get TPA to work without OP and I wanted to allow regular players to use TPA and summon.
Are there any ways to make TPA and summon none OP commands?
