Skyblock Thaumcraft sounds like a terrible combination. You'd have to cheat to do anything, otherwise all you get is tables and wisps.
It's really not too bad. I had Equivalent Exchange to help me get started, and Mystcraft to allow me access to all the other ores and bees and stuff. Not that I really needed it. IC2 crops could get me rubber and redstone and then Thaumcraft tranmutation could get me tin and copper.
I did have to use Mystcraft to get my hands on some of the elemental shards though, no way around that.
The first and only real problem I've run into is running out of Vis. Which I never actually did. When I realized that I was going to run out soon I sort of panicked and went hunting for a solution.
Azanor, love the mod so much I cannot tell you without sounding like a deranged fan. I'd like to post an exploit.
Using Factorization, it's possible to make 3 ingots per iron ingot. A magnet requires the use of lead wire and a battery and one ingot of iron, which gives the magnet the aspects of the 7 lead and 5 iron, as well as the water bottle, 2 gunpowder, and piece of coal, used to craft all of that. The result is that each iron ingot can be used to make 3 ingots. I haven't tested this, just noted it. It might be that the vacuous aspects turn as much of the metal aspect into lead nuggets at a much smaller amount.
BTW, absolutely love the Arcane ear. It's so incredibly clever yet so simple, and finally gives me a reason to make note blocks. Hope you'll make other sound related devices.

Wut?
Azanor, do you have something against numbers?
After you make 26 patches and are on 3.0.0z are you gonna start a second alphabet in the name?
I can see it now...
>[1.4.6] Thaumcraft 3.0.0z (Updated 15/1/2013)
>[1.5.1] Thaumcraft 3.0.0aa (Updated 23/1/2013)
>[1.5.5] Thaumcraft 3.0.0ab (Updated 10/2/2013)
Azanor's using the letter system because what he's updating right now are mostly bugfixes and tweaks rather than adding any significant content change or additions.
I bet once there's some new content, it'll become 3.0.1, and once there's been a much more major addition, it'll become 3.1.0.

I think 3.0.0a the bolded number represents minor releases, and the letter represents bugfixes and such. The 3 represents the fact this is Thaumcraft 3, and the first 0 probably represents major changes.

Has anyone else noticed that golems have a high tendency to be struck by lightning?
Is this to do with high flux? or is it just 'natural'? Would a roof stop this?
Also, thanks for removing achievements Azanor they were getting on my nerves always popping up.
I'm not sure if a roof does stop it... I know a glass roof doesn't, but other blocks might work.
Glass and stairs (basically all 'transparent' blocks) don't seem to count for stopping lightning. Wood block will stop the bolt, but will then proceed to burn down.

So with respect to 3.0.0h, my researches still reset, could this just be me?
With that in mind, a quick and easy yet temporary fix to this would be to make discovery scrolls not a one-time use item. I see no exploit that can be done with such change anyway since you already spent time and resources making the thing.
Also, do you think seals will make a return in TC3? That's what I loved most in TC2 anyway.
Do the Goggles of Revealing work with no aura charge available? It seems that there isn't any as my Thaumometer stays still no matter which way I turn, my Wand of the Adept won't recharge and my Infernal Furnace won't smelt.

Thanks - time to go lay a smackdown

I backed you up there, just to make sure that goes smackdown goes down hard.

I can say, I tried it, and no.
would be nice, though nuggets are actually nicer to eat, you eat them faster
No, but that would be hilarious.

Are you sure your aura nodes exist?
Your world don't have aura nodes.
