Y'all need to update Forge. If you use multimc just click the MCForge button in the edit mods screen. It will bring up all the versions of Forge. Use the top one and voila.
Also if you are using Railcraft you will need to update it as it won't work with the newer Forge unless you update.
Azanor i know you posted that you don't allow modpacks to use your mod but i remember when AMCO's modpack had Thaumcraft 2, yeah i know this is a new mod and i don't think it has to do anything with thaumcraft 2 (haven't tried it yet, will soon looks awesome)
but i was wondering if you will allow the new maintainer shantomken to use it, and i know he is not asking but i was just wondering

I'm encountering a bizarre bug that returns Copper Ore from IC2 as Blue Pipe Wire from Buildcraft. The mods I have installed are Buildcraft, ComputerCraft, IC2, Iron Chests, and, of course, ThaumCraft 3! Not to sure why this is occurring. Anyone else experience it?
*Also, when smelted, the Blue Pipe Wire returns a Copper Ingot.
BUG REPORT (majorly abusable!):
Stone golems assigned to Arcane Worktables with the final product of the crafting recipe as their target are able to infinitely pull that item out without using the materials inside the table. I found this out when trying to set up an automatic crafting system using golems. If this feature was unintended, may I make a request to patch this bug but keep the golems able to craft... or maybe even a new "Crafty" golem?
edit: This glitch only appears to work when the player is looking in the inventory, so my guess is that it has to do with how you've ghosted the item in the output slot...
How bad will other mods break if I update forge? I am currently running 6.4.1.395, with BuildCraft 3.2.0, IC2 1.109, Railcraft 6.8.0.0, NEI 1.2.4.10, EE3 pre1d, and MoCreature 4.2.1.

Thaumonomicon doesn't work in multiplayer, nothing is revealed when you open it, contrary to single player where 6 buttons are revelaed (redeable text and clickable).
First thing I did was test out some of the new goodies, like the green head wand which I won't explain here, and the arcane levitators. Now, as for the levis, is there a way to get them to work both ways no matter the height? My main problem is the levis tend to send me right back up if I don't jump onto them from a high enough height, which is good for slowing you down from a massive fall, but not that useful for using them to replace ladders. As it is now - without complex redstone wiring - I don't see how much use these have outside of a few fun things and as a replacement for water drop shafts.

As long as you update Railcraft to 6.9.0.0 and NEI to 1.4.2.9 and CCC to 0.6.11 it should work fine.

You then place a bookshelf in the world and right click on it with the wand. This gives you the Thaumonomicon which explains almost everything else you will need to know about Thaumcraft.

i followed the instructions:
i downloaded and dragged all contents of the latest minecraft forge in my jar.
i started minecraft so it would make mods folder. (also to check that forge worked, and it did)
i then downloaded thaumcraft and put the exact zip file the i downloaded into the mods folder.
when i started minecraft it said:
Forge modloader has a problem with you minecraft installation
the mods and versions listed below could not be found
Forge: [6.4.1.407,)
the file " ForgeModLoader-client-0.log" contains more information.
this is what the file "ForgeModLoader-client-0.log" said.

Even the basics are not clickable. This is happening in SMP and to every player on the whole server.
