Should ask Azanor over on Thaumcraft 3 or Calclavia over on Universal Electricity about how they did the new arcane bore/old ICBM railgun. A fancy schmancy death laser/tractor beam/crop watcher/signal lamp/spotlight would be really interesting to have.

What makes you think I was ever being reasonable? I'm sitting here with a pile of guns while wearing a flamethrower, and you thought that, at some point, I was being reasonable?
Hopefully when Minecraft 1.5.x comes out, Jeb will be done update spamming and adding in his useless junk, so modders can finally work on their projects again and people who run mod heavy worlds (like me) can play Minecraft again.
I have been patiently waiting for several mods to update so I can finally work on my tower again, it has been months since the last time I did anything with that mod heavy world or anything Minecraft related and I will continue to wait until everything is in sync again before I ever touch the Minecraft update button, even if I have to wait longer until this happens.
The date I last ran Minecraft was June 2, 2012 (on Minecraft version 1.2.5, for those who don't keep track of the releases) when the mods I use were last synchronized with each other.
For those who spam the "When will you update?" messages need to learn more patients, it is extremely hard for modders to do much of anything when Jeb keeps messing with the base code of Minecraft and shows no sign of slowing down.
Minecraft was better back in the Notch days, you could run mod heavy worlds for months before the next update, Jeb has ruined that and has also drove off modders with the junk he added to base Minecraft and weekly updates.
I have said this in other threads and I'm saying it again: If you want mods for Minecraft, you will have to wait; if you want the latest version of Minecraft all the time, you can't use mods. It is simple as that.
Take all the time you need webmilio to work on The Laser Mod, I have quite a few mods on my list that still need updates so I will be waiting for a long time anyway.
Someone told me that it takes a few days for most mods to get updated to a new Minecraft version and a week for the slower ones. I'm wondering how true that is, given that things like this happen where modders will wait to update/publish their mods until a Minecraft update is released.
If there's two things Minecraft needs, it's the mod API released and to the point of preventing mods from breaking, and a way to integrate new worldgen into already generated chunks.
I agree and disagree with the updates from Jeb. I think the priority definitely needs to be on the mod API. Minecraft thrives on the mods players make for it, and I believe Jeb needs to prioritize the API before continuing with the heavy amount of updates to MineCraft. I disagree that Jeb is adding too many things. I like the flow of new things. However I agree that he is adding useless items. Such as the new dispenser; such functionality could have been added to the existing dispenser with certain redstone signals or a built in switch. Mojang needs a team dedicated to coming up with ideas, a team that is not as close to the project as Jeb and the other developers. Maybe they do, I can't say I know for sure.
Webmilio on the other hand, I agree in waiting for the next update. I believe this update could impact the current design of the laser mod. I could be wrong though, either way it make little sense to update to 1.4.6 when 1.5 could be out in less than a week. I'm in no hurry either, I have other things I'm working on in real life to occupy my time. I have said this before - I have waited this long, however much longer I have to wait means little to me. Just don't bail on us yet Webmilio, keep up the good fight if even just for me!
i hope this is updated soon. i tried using this mod in 1.2.5 but it crashed my minecraft. and i'm always willing to give things another shot (most of the time anyways :V)
Look, he sais he wll finish the mod soon for 1.4.7, a lil bit later: WAITING FOR 1.5, and this is taking soo long? Other mods (i know alot) are just updated really fast! And no, it arent all small mods, even bigger! So, why is he so slowly? When he had a livestream, i watched ALOT, not one time seeing him coding. I call that "Lazy".
Hell Aether hasn't been available for how long? And if you follow the facebook page its going to be back this monday. Hell, 1.4.7-1.5 isn't even that bad of an update. And 1.5-1.5.1 is even easier. I do agree that he is, as you say, "Lazy". I saw nothing on his livestream that involved any kind of coding what so ever, so why it is taking so long is beyond me.
He's not lazy if he's not working on it.... he said he was waiting for 1.5 to start working on it, also it's not that easy to update from 1.4.4 to 1.5.1, and that code has a lot of long TileEntities classes and GUI Stuff,[of course you have no idea what's that because you're 2 idiots who think that updating a mod like that is easy] if you really want that mod go update it yourself in one day.... he uploaded the code to gifthub...

I do believe I know how hard it is. But when people who can update a mod bigger then this one from 1.4.7 to 1.5.1 faster then this does mean he is doing something wrong, he should have updated to 1.4.7 in his wait instead of procrastinating and waiting until 1.5 (now 1.5.1 due to the recent update)
Everyone! I have teamed up with WiduX (which I believe this being the last thread he made). We have to rewrite it from scratch again, but I'll be sure to update a lot more and keep you guys updated!
I can confirm this.
Don't expect a lot of progress on this guys, he is fairly busy by my guess.
Edit: He is working on it, but not full time.

If you're in this much of a rush you can learn to program yourself.
