Problems again downloading the updates of bspkrscore and World state Checkpoint. the files here are ALWAYS corupted.
Last time i found another sourceand those files worked. But im forgetting where. Any help here? I LOVE your mod. Makes the whole thing possible.

Make sure you are left-clicking the download links. If you right-click and do Save As... you will be downloading some adf.ly page. Someone was doing this on one of my other threads.
Considering the recent focus on adventure maps, this is really handy for resetting a map back to the beginning without having to copy files. I'm going to recommend this to Bebopvox for his McM show.

I hope I dont sound like an idiot, but im not sure how this works. I want to play hardcore mode, mainly so difficulty is locked, but when I die, I want to be able to load a save, that ways its like going back in time, still somewhat annoying but not have to lose my world, I feel that is the best option and is very balanced. Loading a save where all your progress is lost rather than a mod where you get to keep all your stuff after death is way better IMO. Is that possible with this mod ?

Yes, that is one of the intended uses of this mod... to have a less hardcore hardcore mode. If you die, press F6 to bring up the checkpoint load menu.
I've a question I'd like to ask... if I've this mod installed, and my current world were to be corrupted by a crash, can I still obtain an old backup of my world with this mod, or is that not possible?

Awesome mod! I was so happy when I found this mod. I have been using MCSave, but its an external program that I always forgot to start and it only saved the level.dat file, so not great.
I was wondering if its possible to change the save location for the world. I use another program, MCMyVault, for managing multiple worlds easily. The problem I have ran into is unnecessary duplicated saves. It backs up all your mod backups every time, so its growing quite fast on memory usage.
So if I could move the WorldStateCheckpoints save location outside the saves\world folder, it would be perfect!

So I'm having a giant issue with both the savepoints and now the core mod. I'm getting a FML error trying to load minecraft that the core mod is missing when it is not. Here is the FML log:

If you make changes while the save action is being performed it's really anyone's guess if they will be saved or not. The save code runs in its own thread to avoid "freezing" the game while saving, but it can cause side effects such as what you describe.

would it be possible to get like a 10 or 15 second warning before an auto save is set to happen? Just to make sure you are in a safe place and your inventory is closed, cause while like you said the game doesn't freeze entirely there can be heavy stuttering.

sorry to sound like the squeaky wheel, but there is definitely some aberrant behavior regarding back packs/bags. I have not been able to reliably reproduce it, but it seems like randomly things in bags will go missing. Even if I am not moving things around in that bag or any bag when the checkpoint starts saving. I am using the Thaumcraft 4 bag and the backpacks mod backpacks.

Those are difficult issues to fix... basically the code is just making a complete copy of the world folder when it saves, and when it restores it deletes the world folder contents and copies back the saved-off files. I'll have to poke around and see if there is a safer way to do this.
