i played my minecraft with glsl shaders mod and SEUS because i really want to see what the shaders will do
so i deleted optifine in the mods folder then selected SEUS v10 rc7 ultra and then this message appeared "Failed using internal multiple formats in frame buffer
please update graphics driver"
so i didn't mind the message, pressed escape then played, it was extremley laggy while i was playing so if i have optifine will it be still laggy or my gameplay will be smooth again
Heya, loving the mod. One problem, though. I get this strange flickering sometimes. Demonstration of problem: http://d.pr/i/QPyu I have a GTX 560 Ti, driver version 331.65. I can list more specs, or settings, but I'm not sure which of them might affect this. Any tips/thoughts appreciated, thank you in advance.
A long time ago I said, I ported the old world curvature to 1.6.4, but I losed it through a harddrive problem....
Well lets say it found its way back to my Thread now
(The effect in the screenshots is stronger to see it better)
Well, Im using 1.6.2, and using Optifine HD U C4, (yes they are for 1.6.2) But i don't seem to see the KaryOnix FML Shader Patch, nor i haven't downloaded it yet... i've searched for it but nothing is found?
How to use
1. Make a copy of OptiFine_.jar file and rename to "0000_OptiFine_.jar" (or other meaningful name) .
2. Open optifinefml.7z and 0000_OptiFine_.jar in archive program (7-Zip or WinRAR or WinZip).
3. Copy the content of optifinefml.7z into 0000_OptiFine_.jar .
4. Close archive program.
5. Copy 0000_OptiFine_.jar to mods folder.
One note.. when using REIS MINI MAP you need to make the file name [0000_OptiFine]_.jar as the brackets load before numbers and REIS uses bracketed version number at the beginning of the file name, thereby loading first and causing a crash without this adjustment.
I've got an interesting issue with the shader pack: apparently when using the Metallurgy 3 mod, the particle effects on the nether ore blocks conflict with the shaders giving me 5-15fps even when a shaderpack isn't being used (just having the shaders mod in the mod folder). I just thought i'd let you know that the bug exist!

That's not true. I don't use those square brackets and I have no problems.
Which is kinda weird, since this thread is not about 1.7.2 or a discussion about getting OF to work for that... so I ask again; why not check the thread, that is actually relevant to your question? :-|
This is why we have a forum with different threads; so as to not mix everything together. If we did that, no one would get any answers for anything.
Dude. It's really obvious I'll will look at there. Yeah this thread its not about 1.7.2 but it's about Minecraft. Even this website is about Minecraft.

Alright, we get it, so will we please stop arguing?
You should have asked in the Optifine thread because this mod even had a time where Optifine was incompatible. No one is a genius about Optifine here. I just know commong bugs, hardware, and ect for shaderpacks. I do not know the system Optifine uses to do smooth fps or chunk loading.
It's about Minecraft, but topics are seperated because Optifine and roller coaster maps aren't that related. Shaders are not related to the block-culling bug(or back-culling).
Minecraft needs fixed function pipeline which are removed from OpenGL 3.1 and OpenGL 3.2 core profile.
OpenGL 3.2 compatibility profile has the old fixed function APIs.
Switching to OpenGL 3.2 core profile is a big change. Don't expect it to be that easy.
But even though obsoleted function are removed from OpenGL 3.2 core profile standard, drivers may still have the obsoleted interface available and may work (but this is non-standard).
To use OpenGL 3.2 core profile standard you need shader in all drawing calls. That's a lot of work.
I tried playing with this over the weekend, but was too busy.
I was aware that forcing OGL 3.2+ could cause some serious issues because 3.2 isn't backwards compatible to 2.0, and most of the core functions were replaced and replaced with new.
Nice to have this confirmed, but unfortunately this means no proper support for Mac's.
Would be nice to know why OGL 2.0 is so different between Mac and Windows. Unless it still boils down to Mac being super-controlling over display drivers!
to:aeraesoria i'm using optifine c7 ultra and the patch file seems to be a text i highlighted it all but i can't extract the contents to optifine.jar
I'm using OFUC7 myself without issues, not getting the missing body parts either Dalek...
Emplip, as it has been explained, you are opening your optifinefml.7z file with Notepad. You need to go online and install 7-zip from here: http://www.7-zip.org/. It's free, and opens all ZIP type files.
If you want, you can download an already finished file from my sig, just rename it to [0000]-Optifine-1.6.4-HD-U-C7.jar so it loads first.
Sorry for quoting myself but I need some help. And does anyone happen to have Chocapic13's Shaders? (No , not his WIP, I mean the one from his thread begore he got it deleted. )
Hey, someone tell Chocapic that his WIP 10 shaders are not compatible with AMD cards. It may just be the godrays. I get the sun, moon, and cloud bug appearing through blocks. The same error happened on Sildur's dev, but his 8.1 fixed it.

Hey! I get that too!!! Looks like Chocapic13's WIP isn't compatible with AMD or Intel...

Where do you find Chocapic wip 10 and Sildur's 8.1? I couldn't find them, can you link them please?

I found that the problem was eliminated entirely by disabling Advanced OpenGL. Thx

Didn't see this answered so...

Wow. Just wow. Thanks for your answer bro.
I posted here so I can ask If you guys have any way to have a optifine working on 1.7.2.
That's not true. I don't use those square brackets and I have no problems.

Good find, I was just going to tell you the same thing. If you use OF, you can turn that back on if you wish.
I'm using OFUC7 myself without issues, not getting the missing body parts either Dalek...

Look below ... ancient Chinese secret ;)!
That must be because Rei's Minimap doesn't modify any of the same classes that OF does.
Yes, but this isn't too much of a troll, lol.
I encountered the issue which is how I stumbled on the fix. It may be a version thing.
Either way it is still the better bet. Just because Rei's doesn't share other mods might. And you want Optifine to load first.
Really? Weird...
Hey! I get that too!!! Looks like Chocapic13's WIP isn't compatible with AMD or Intel...
This is known to Chocapic already.... its all over this thread and his thread.
Where do you find Chocapic wip 10 and Sildur's 8.1? I couldn't find them, can you link them please?

Why am I asking here? Coz sometimes someone got a workaround here. I'm not a troll btw.
