1 - flickering shadows at a certain angle (quite often) or just disapearing, when you turn the camera.
2 - animals at a distance have flickering textures (on the bump-shadow-vaving shader)
3 - "flashing" chunks on the horizon (pretty rare, but very noticeable)
4 - when you are breaking a block, it is shaded with light separate layer (always)
tested with beta6 and forge 804-18-35-37-40, same result.
GTX570 320.49
Can't reproduce on my laptop with GT730m
1. Turn advanced OpenGL to OFF
2. This may also be a problem with advanced OpenGL
3. Also... advanced OpenGL
4. Try turning off or on the "new block breaking". It depends usually what pack your using but some support it and others don't.

VashM16 is talking about the Minecraft Video Options....
So, you have tried 320.00, 320.18, and 320.49 drivers from nVidia?
We aren't using OF, so the only thing in the nVidia CP that needed to be configured was the 'threaded optimization'. I still have mine off, but because there isn't any OF support yet, it shouldn't matter.
Have you tried the video option settings that VashM16 has recommended?
I had crazy problems with flickering textures when Advanced OpenGL was ON, turned it OFF and all good. Also my Graphics are on Fancy.
I've never had to use 'new block breaking' but it basically fixes an issue where light flashes through the block every time you hit it (through the cracks).

yes, i understood this. i mean i have tried 1000 of ways to fix it, ingame or system, or even hardware. nothing changed. Advanсed OpenGL was the fist i have to turned off.
Sry if something is not clear, cause my english is really terrible.

What OS are you running on your desktop vs. your notebook?
There has to be some difference?
The version of forge, or the display driver version? something...

yeap, different OS (8.1 on notebook) but i haven't that problem on my second desktop (except fps drop to 10... half-dead video card).
I really dunno what to do. My wife gonna eat me soon, cause she dont want to play without shaders now =_=
I have tried same forge and drivers versions. Clean install of fresh minecraft without any mods.
GLSL Shaders Mod (updated by karyonix) v2.0.1 beta 7 for Minecraft 1.6.2
Require forge.
Currently incompatible with OptiFine.
(OptiFine-compatible version is planned but not done yet.)
Probably incompatible with many mods.
Download ShadersModCore-mc1.6.2-f804-v2.0.1-beta7.jar Download link 1 (hotfile) Download link 2 (mediafire)
If the above links do not work, use alternative links in spoiler.
Change log
2.0.1 beta7
Fixed config not loaded on startup bug.
Less classes replacement.
2.0.1 beta6
Multiple depth buffers.
Multiple shadow depth buffers with shadow color buffer.
2.0.1 beta5
Fixed rendering of downloaded player skin.
2.0.1 beta4
Fixed depth bug from beta3.
2.0.1 beta3
Fixed opaque white box covering horse head.
Removed linear-mipmap-linear option from texture minification filtering option.
A little optimization. This version is almost as fast as preview 3 when no new features are used.
New bug! smooth DOF effect does not work.
2.0.1 beta2
Fix Skeleton texture bug.
Skip drawing circular shadow.
User can change mipmap option for block texture.
2.0.1 beta1
Sonic Ether has added his new features to this mod and fixed some bugs.
Now it is compatible with Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders v10.0.
Normal map and specular map naming has changed from preview 3 to be more consistent with prior versions.
Before install
- Use Mojang's Minecraft Launcher to run Minecraft 1.6.2. Then close it.
- Install minecraftforge with minecraftforge installer. (download page)
I test it on version 9.10.0.804 .
- Use Mojang's Minecraft Launcher.
Select "Forge" in profile box at lower left corner of launcher window.
Play.
You should see "Mods" button in title screen below "Multiplayer" button.
Check whether everything is alright and close. Installation
- Put ShadersModCore-xxxx.jar in .minecraft/mods folder.
Make sure its file extension is ".jar", not ".zip". Run
- Use Mojang's Minecraft Launcher to run Minecraft 1.6.2 with profile Forge.
- Open Option menu, Shaders... button. Click open shaderpacks folder.
- Put shaderpack in the folder.
- In Shaders screen click shaderpack name.
Normal map and specular map name
- Insert _n or _s before .png at the end of texture name in resource pack.
It will end with "_n.png" or "_s.png" .
Example
- texture in resource pack : assets\minecraft\textures\blocks\cobblestone.png
- normal map in resource pack : assets\minecraft\textures\blocks\cobblestone_n.png
- specular map in resource pack : assets\minecraft\textures\blocks\cobblestone_s.png
Plan for further development
- Make OptiFine-compatible edition. (moved to first in the list)
- Convert the loading process to make class modification at load time instead of just loading modded class.
- Improve compatibility with other mods.
You can report bugs and incompatibilities.
I cannot fix everything quickly. But I will do what I can.
1 - flickering shadows at a certain angle (quite often) or just disapearing, when you turn the camera.
2 - animals at a distance have flickering textures (on the bump-shadow-vaving shader)
3 - "flashing" chunks on the horizon (pretty rare, but very noticeable)

1. Because of wrong chunk section culling for shadow. No fix at this time. I will fix it in the future.
2. Bug in beta 6 ? Try beta 7.
3. Probably the edge of render distance. No fix at this time.
4. One workaround is to make block-breaking textures in resource pack transparent in non-crack part.
GLSL shaders keep giving a run out of memory error to the console while I am in-game ad it freezes minecraft then unfreezes and just keeps repeating. How do I get rid of this error because I highly doubt I used 1gb of memory allocated to minecraft.
Client> 2013-08-20 11:41:15 [INFO] [STDERR] GL Error 1285: Out of memory @pre-useProgram
Cheers.
OpenGL have not enough memory. Try allocate less RAM for JVM or use lower resolution texture.
Hey Karyonix . I have this weird glitch . Can it be my graphic card ? It does this glitch with any resourcepack .
Minecraft version 1.6.2 and v2.0.1 beta6 version of your mod . I have like 45 FPS with your mod on default resourcepack . I really want to use this mod , it's cool , but this drives me crazy .

I'm not trying to come off as rude or someone who knows java well, but wouldn't we want to build The current model of shader mods on top of Optifine? about 90% of people use it with the GLSL shaders, most people require it to run shaders at any respectable FPS rate.
I'm currently running the latest release of Pre-7 with great effect, but I'm just saying that many people would benefit and be able to test said shaders as soon as a alpha build was available if Optifine was in the picture.
Once again, Not complaining, Just stating what I think.
Are there any shader packs that use curvature or have the "Inception" feel to them?
Sildur tried curvature a couple pages back, and it didn't turn out very well. I expect curvature is broken for the time being.
But, what I don't understand, is where did all the basic shaderpacks go? Like bumpmap-only shaders, or DoF only? Albeit Sildur's basic stuff has a DoF, and motion blur variations, both with a better colour palette and waving things, but I just want like bump mapping or something, considering shadows lag my computer a bunch.

YES!
I have asked for that many times... I love the look of Parallax mapping, I like to run at reasonable frame rates too...
im not sure how bump mapping would work without shadows...

*Reporting Bug*
I found a bug with Beta7 every time you change from any texture pack its fine but when you change to default it crashes even in the main menu.

That happen's to me when I have other mods running with GLSL shaders, what other mods do you have?
With the Pre7 version I never get above 30 FPS for some reason, I am using the same shader pack as I did with Pre6. With the Pre6 version my FPS rarely went below 60, I was using Sildur's Nvidia Shader's pack.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT :
The FPS problem fixed itself somehow, but now the shadows are flickering when I move with both SEUS and Sildur pack... is that a bug within the shader or is it my fault?
P.S :
I even sometimes get daylight in caves, somehow...

Karyonix is building an Optifine compatible version because of the amount of ppl that want OF support for the boost in FPS.
Now that the builds are mostly-stable and also include the SEUS code, that is his next stepping stone.
