Yes, I did. I have the proper installer and all of that, BUT, it's the 1.7.10 version.
I highly doubt that I would've installed some adware or malware down the line, because I have become pretty skilled in not downloading dodgy stuff
What's strange is that it wanted access to my computer, so I scanned it with my virus scanner and it came out with no threats. Anyway, I still declined it. Then the junk started building up...
Sounds like you were lucky enough to miss one of the 4 steps in the installation. Also, I assume the other people who have failed to report it have not noticed that it was the installer doing all of the dodgy stuff.
It's difficult to get feedback from people. I installed 1.7.10 and once again there's just the little dialog boxes.
Does anyone here have a fix for the crashes when during Shaders on 1.12? It crashes everytime I hit a block and I haven't had much luck finding a fix for that. Though I found playing on 1.11.2 works fine.

Nope. Many people are having this issue. Seems v2.7.0 is broken.
i've been trying to install this for two days, i've updated my 64bit java, i've done clean installs of minecraft without optifine or forge, The ASM files installs without problem but when i got to install the shaders mod 1.12 file version selector is completely blank
Yes, i've deleted all the appdata/roaming/minecraft files except my texturepacks/saves/login and redownloaded 1.12.1 about three times. Just to be sure, i've done it one more time and started the game before tryng. ASM installs fine but "shaders mod 1.12 file" still gives me the blank version.

Your issue is marked in red, if what your saying is true then your trying to use 1.12 on 1.12.1 and as far as I know they are not cross compatible.

No. 1.12 and 1.12.1 are separate versions.
In case you don't know, Shaders is built into Optifine now. Optifine.net is down for maintenance so you can get it here: http://optifined.net/
I'd honestly thought this mod had disappeared since Optifine added shader support (I started playing Minecraft after this point) and decided to look this up on a whim. Now I'm just confused, and really don't mean to sound disrespectful, but why do people keep using this mod when Optifine has shader support and this is incompatible with Forge? (I'm guessing LiteLoader as well, since the note on the LL forum post stating compatibility with LL also mentions shaders being able to run with Forge too)

I make a point of testing the Shaders "mod" in Optifine + LiteLoader. GammaBright breaks, but for "normal play" I play WITHOUT shaders because as pretty as it looks, I'm too used to the world without the shaders for me to tell what it is I'm looking at... and in caves or indoors, it's just too dark. But as far as using the shaders mod and *not* through Optfine, I wouldn't think to bother with it that way. But as the mod is being updated, that's cool, that's a good thing.
IIRC you can create subfolders in the shaders folder of the shaderpack for specific dimensions named "world" directly followed by the ID of the dimension.
For example, "world1" for The End, and "world-1" for the Nether.
These subfolders can contain shaders that will be used when you are in those dimensions.
(Edit reason: Apparently I wrote the last sentence in another window.)
Does version 1.7.10 has this feature? I got overworld shader in nether and end.
I've got a bug here.
The game will completely crash right after I join a multiplayer server.
It'll work 100% fine on single player. The moment I join any server with or without a shaderpack enabled, it'll crash.

Crash on destroying block in v2.7.0 is my fault not testing enough in real game before publish.
It is fixed in v2.7.1 which is to be released soon.

Thanks for the response, and for your continued work on the mod!
wow '.'
It should have been out 2 weeks ago. But the download site still says 2.7.0 .

I'm experiencing the same issue. Works just fine for a few seconds before crashing.
