so i've still been working on this, saw somewhere else someone said that changing the port to 8124 had helped so i tried this as well as forwarding ports 8124-8129 to the correct local IP and even went out of my way to make both rules for UDP AND TCP INBOUND AND OUTBOUND allowing those ports as well despite windows firewall being configured to be disabled and allow it anyway.

holy crap, this is the happiest day of my life.
so for anyone having the issue with a 404 error when you try to view your dynmap, the solution is apparently deceptively simple, so deceptively simple in fact it took me multiple years to finally realize the actual problem and fix it.
all you have to do is login as root to your linux machine, edit the iptables to allow the dynmap port on your machine that's actually hosting (i had no idea built in firewalls were even a thing on an OS like mineos dedicated to game server hosting) and save the new rule allowing the port you set to be forwarded.
FYI - for all those out there with similar problems... maybe I'm just illiterate, but the solution for me was to open the udp port on the machine. firewall-cmd doesn't allow "both" as a packet type selection and I was lazy and only forwarded the tcp.
Well, we all assume you did sort your system issues before asking any application-related questions.
didn't have any way of knowing iptables even existed, that really needs to be pointed out in a much more obvious and impossible to miss way.
[edit] didn't there used to be a way to force dynmap to display blocks it doesn't know of as something (doesn't matter what) so the map isn't left with tons of square black holes in it? [/edit]

Ok so heres a question for anyone who can answer so how do i move map data for the LIVEMAP from one computer to another so that i can use it that computer. Or to better Phrase say i play in a moded community and it has Dynmap and it was a survival based Server where in which after a year of the map i wanted to reset the map and start with a brand new map but put the server map up for Singleplayer download but also wanted to make sure that they could use the Dynmap Data in singleplayer how what folder/ would i need to give them so they use the dynmap data in there localhost ip for the Dynmap

so based on the lack of replies, i am to assume there is no way at current to solve the issue of the vast amount of blocks that dynmap fails to render? what happened to the scraper tool that used to let it display something at least instead of breaking?
I have just switched my server from one host to another. I copied all the files and configs that I used on the old server. I am trying to do a fullrender and it is taking a ridiculous amount of time. It has been about 20 minutes and the fullrender is up to 400 tiles. On the old system, the fullrender would take about an hour or so, in total for a 12,000x12,000 map.
I tried changing the setting to use 4 cores, but that did not change the speed at all. Does anyone know what can cause such a slow speed? The plugin is working fine otherwise and I have been using it with no problems for years on the other machine.
I am not getting any console errors, just super slow
Thanks for any help!
EDIT: I forgot to mention that regular renders are going very fast, and anywhere a player has been is rendered ... it is only the fullrender that is having issues.
EDIT 2: It looks like dynmap is not clearing out memory after it is done with renders ... so with time, it just completely fills all available RAM. And once the RAM is gone, the server dies until it gets a restart.

We have been using it for sometime and i noticed the server took a very long time to restart, when I submitted a support ticket about it to our server hose they deleted the plugin because they said it was the cause of the issue and it was casing issues for their other clients on the server as well.
I was hoping to install it again but without all the 3D and underground maps and maybe clearing out the files every few weeks since Im not sure what else to use

to be entirely honest i've never seen that feature function either and this was trying it through an OPped player on the server, if there's a way to do it through the root login or some other way needed to enable it let me know cause anrdaemon is definitely not the only one having issues.
Could someone explain to me how to make this button redirect to a link, not the IP?
I think what you want is a subdomain, you can do this from http://freedns.afraid.org/ or a site like it. What this does is assign your current ip to a new ip of your choosing. If that wasn't what you were after, then I think there might still be something on that link that might be of use but I haven't looked into it myself

Dynmap does not use UDP.

What about it? Did you try to use it?

How to enable user sign markers for Forge? Can't find anything obvious in the config that matches the wiki.
should just need to give the players the permission I think?
dynmap.marker.sign
HOW to "give player permission" ?
There's no "dynmap.*" permission node in FE list.

is there any update to dynmap factions if so can someone comment the link of the updated version because i cant seem to get it to work with dynmap
bump for response from anyone who's actually gotten the signs function to work.
Define "redirect to a link" ?
The button is built off your current map address.
If you visit the map via bare IP, that's what you will get in return.
