hello, im trying to get dynmap working on a forge/sponge server with the sponge plugin version for mc version 1.10.2. however dynmap does not seem to render any of the modded blocks, at first i tried to use a sphax texturepack to add the textures, but it did not work, then i saw stuff about DynmapModScraper. is there a 1.10 version of this i can use?

I am running a FTB Beyond server with dynmap installed. The biomoes o plenty biomes are rendering in black when using the default texture pack (default as defined in shader option in the normal-hires file). I installed a biomes o plenty specific texture pack that only alters textures for biomes o plenty items, and the map renders these blocks incorrectly as well, as in they show up as stone or air. I installed the texturepack clientside and the textures work as intended, only applying to biomes o plenty textures.
biomes o plenty version 5.0.0.2162
dynmapforge version 2.4-2082
Secondary issue, i am attempting to make my map viewable from a subdomain (map.xxx.com). I have my server joinable from a subdomain, and multiple other things. The issue is not in the networking, its my inability to configure the mod. in the configuration.txt, i have webserver-bindaddress: 0.0.0.0 because when i put my external ip, and when i put my servers local address, i cant connect to the map at all. server-ip in the server.txt config file for the server is set to my external ip. thank you in advance
*edit* my first problem is seemingly the same as the person above me
*edit* issue #2 solved, i made dynmap use port 80 and then i pointed my srv record to port 80. *facepalm*

This is a generic Minecraft question and has nothing to do with Dynmap.

I'm not quite sure what you want in the end.
Do you want to see Dynmap when sevrer is offline or you want Dynmap to map your singleplayer game?
So, to pass on what I have worked out for getting mods to render on Dynmap.
Concerning the incomplete rendering when new chunks are generated...I have been using the forge version since at least 1.6 and never have been able to get that to work right. Occasional 'fullrender' or 'radiusrender' have always been needed to cleanly get freshly explored areas to update for me.
Concerning the modded blocks appearing black. The built in support for many popular mods appear to be broken as they are all still configured for 1.7 version of those mods. (can see this in the jar file) Back then, those mods had to use fixed block IDs which were set with config files. During launch Dynmap was written to look up those block IDs in the config files and attach the correct textures and models. Those textures and models were defined in the renderdata files internal to the Dynmap Jar and attached to whatever the current blockIDs were. Very smart system and worked great for 1.7.
Current versions (I think since 1.8 or 1.9) of mods do not have to use a defined block IDs and instead use a modname:blockname format. When minecraft builds a world the block is given BOTH a numerical BlockID and the modname:blockname identifier.
The mod support within dynmap STILL EXISTS, it just requires that you set up your own custom models.txt and texture.txt files within the /dynmap/renderdata folder. (See the WIKI)
From within a loaded world in your modded game you should be able to look up the current block ID of the modded block you wish to render. Use that block ID to build a custom models.txt and/or texture.txt file to allow Dynmap to have the information it needs to render the data. THESE IDs WILL BE DIFFERENT FOR EVERY SUBTLE DIFFERENCE IN A MODPACK.
I built a few example files for Biomes-O-Plenty that can be updated 'reasonably' easily. The idea is that only the variables defined in the header needs to be updated with the correct block ID numbers found in JEI (or simmilar).
If Dynmap is able to read the modname:blockname format I have been able to determine the syntax needed and would love see someone figure it out....but in the meantime, this works.

Getting these errors:
[01:23:05 INFO]: [dynmap] version=git-Spigot-3c21190-3ecbb59 (MC: 1.12-pre2)
[01:23:05 ERROR]: [dynmap] Unable to find field humidity for net.minecraft.server.v1_12_R1.BiomeBase
[01:23:05 ERROR]: Error initializing dynmap - bukkit version incompatible! initializing dynmap v2.4-1148 (Is it up to date?)
If Dynmap for 1.12 is not compatible with 1.12, what are we gonna do?
[edit] Updated to a one-day newer spigot, still the same reported version and same error as above.
I suppose I'm getting a bug as when i try to go to the web server hosting the map it just gives me a directory of the web server files (see attachment 1)
Specifications:
Server Box:
2 Cores @ 2.4 Ghz
8 GB of ram
40 GB of storage
Software:
Ubuntu Server 16.04
Java 8 64 Bit Build 131
Spigot 1.8.8 (Implementing API version 1.8.8-R0.1-SNAPSHOT)
Dynmap 2.4
Dynmap is running all the default web server settings as previously mentioned when i try to visit the dynmap in my browser (other people get the same error) it just shows the file structure of the "web" folder.
The map was working up until 2 days ago i have tried to fix it on my own but it was to no avail.
I dont host on windows i host on ubuntu server 16.04 and that is the web page it brings up when i try to access the map
ok, let me try help here. you said it's ubuntu server correct? is this through a hosting service or your own at home server? if it's either, can you access the server using command prompt (eg. directly from the server itself like a normal computer)? if not can you access it using something like Filezilla (a program that lets you add/remove/and change files from servers remotely)? if not, then you might not be able to do anything except contact the server owner/host (if that is not you) and get them to try accessing the server.
I apologize if that is confusing, hopefully someone can help make what I said a bit easier to understand, I van VISUALLY show people how to do something but typing it out is hard for me.

I rent the server from OVH it is their VPS SSD 3. I can access everything and have full root access over the server. And yes it is Ubuntu Server 16.04
ok, first off make sure your server program is off (NOT the actual server machine), if you go into the .minecraft directory, then into the plugins folder, then go into the dynmap folder, there will be a folder called Web in there, if you can either move that folder to your computer (or copy it if you don't want to lose that mapset for some reason) or delete that entire web folder, after that restart the server program (i'm assuming spigot but I could be wrong) and see if the map shows again.

@woodpuncher15:
The directory should look like this:
Try to delete the web folder in its entirety and let dynmap rebuild the files.
You can temporarily move the (huge) tiles directory elsewhere and move it back afterwards.

I figured it out
All i had to do was delete every trace of dynmap from the server (dynmap.jar dynmap folder)
Now all i gotta do is remove maps that i dont want displaying

Looking forward to a release compatible with 1.12.
