Are you sure newsound isn't required for sound packs? In sound3 in Damage there's only one "fallbig" but in newsound there's a "fallbig1" and "fallbig2".
Can you make it replace the newmusic files too? I'm a little dissappointed my music mod no longer can be used because SoundModEnabler is discontinued, and this doesn't change the newmusic files.

Considering Minecraft totally ignores all sounds in newsound in the game code, sounds in newsound/ are dead weight

I replied this question like three times already, it's a bug and the fixed version will be released in Minecraft 1.4.3 that comes out this Wednesday. I see no point of updating my mod when there's going to be an update in 3 days.
This mod is the tits, all the sounds that I used from Resident Evil are working and a few more I added like 20 mins ago. (from the time of this post)
Its essentially a sound pack and the whole reason for it was to bring the ambiance to a reconstruction of Raccoon city that I've been working on, it's unfinished and requires Redpower to work right. At least I have my sounds.
If anyone wants to try out the pack I made, go for it. It includes a ton of the music and sounds.
Can anyone help me out as to why it's not working for me?
All I'm using right now is Audiotori, Matmos, and Optifine Ultra. In the /audiotori folder inside the .minecraft file, I have Oblivioncraft as a normal folder:
Inside the Oblivioncraft folder are all the files it uses. Music, sound, etc:
And when activated ingame, I don't have anything. Minecraft still uses the original sounds. Am I doing anything wrong?
I would really appreciate any help thrown my way. If you need any more information or screenshots, I'd be happy to provide them!

To my knowledge I'm using the most recent version of Oblivioncraft. Not that it should matter, since the .ogg files should have been picked up and used without any troubles.
I have a feeling that I just installed it incorrectly.. But that doesn't seem to be the case either, since everything appears to be installed fine. The F9 menu shows up ingame with no problems, the /audiotori folder is there, everything should be running smoothly.
Can anyone help me?
I replaced my cat.ogg with something else. (I renamed it correctly)
When I played it in the jukebox, I heard my music, but when I tried to replay it I heard the original vanilla music.
So I replayed it again and heard my music!

The creator HAS to update it to 1.4.2. Using a most recent version is not sufficient, Minecraft has changed the way sounds are loaded from between 1.3.2 and 1.4.2, and all sound effects packs made for 1.3.2 are broken.

It may be a bug, I'll check that in detail before I release Audiotori for 1.4.3.
The fact that it's playing a different music means sometimes it picks a random choice between multiple versions of a music, and that's not supposed to happen.
Sometimes it might happen because Minecraft sounds load too slowly (I'm trying to find ways preventing that from happening). If that's the case, opening the Audiotori menu (F9) and clicking the Turn On/Off button twice should fix it (it makes a force cleanup and force reload).
However the music "cat" and "13" are very particular cases, I'm gonna have to double check that.
Can you please tell me what's the exact name of your new music file including caps? I found there may be a very tight case where only one of the two music files (cat.ogg and cat.mus) would be replaced if the sound pack file contains caps (such as Cat.ogg).
Hi, I was wondering if some people could help me. I had downloaded a sound pack for it. It works great except one thing. The sounds for breaking, and placing blocks were not changed. The sounds for the process of breaking a block was changed, but not the end sound. The sound that tells you that that block was broken. All i need is to know if anyone knows where these sound files can be located. Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Edit: I am using a 1.3.2 sound pack but i am trying to patch it to work. Everything works except those 2 sounds.
Sure, the name is (Including caps) cat.ogg
And I am checking the on/off switch now.
Tell me if it works.
If it does work, I've committed a general purpose fix that makes Audiotori work even if Minecraft is freshly installed (= resources/ folder does not exist when Minecraft starts).
If it doesn't, then it's a bug I don't know about.
Updated 1.4.? changelog, added:
Audiotori will periodically check if new sounds were installed by the game during gameplay, and reload all sound packs several seconds later if that's the case.
Added play music and stop music buttons to the GUI.
Due to Minecraft 1.4.3 release being cancelled, I might push an optional Audiotori update in a few hours for 1.4.2 in order to see if bugs are properly fixed and to see if there are new bugs, in order to push a clean update when the new Minecraft version comes out.
Added a hint button in the menu: When hovering on buttons, hints appear describing what the button does, and shortcuts.
Fixed a bug where sound packs music would not play unless they didn't exist (orphan sounds). Additionally, these orphan music were never being removed when sound packs were being disabled.
Audiotori will periodically check if new sounds were installed by the game during gameplay, and reload all sound packs several seconds later if that's the case.
Added play music and stop music buttons to the GUI.
Double clicking on a sound pack will toggle it on/off.
Is there any way I can make the background music play only during the day? Or make it so that background music doesn't play underground? That way it'll be easier to make a more fitting soundtrack to the game.
Maybe if I use both Audiotori and MAtmos I can do that?

Btw I noticed that the same thing happened in the intro vid (Not sure if you changed anything but portal music changed back to 13)
