Forgive my ignorance, but I never played EE2. After hearing all of these balance changes to EE3, my curiosity is getting the better of me and I intend to try it soon, but I can't seem to find any specific documentation on how to use it and what it offers - the link in the OP only directs to the Changelog. Is there really anything that can be accomplished so far past the creation of Minium Stone, or is that it so far?

Yes, currently EE3 is only in Prerelease 1. Essentially this was only a basic implementation of the core mod, so there are only a few items available.

Do you think condensers could be back? But just a lot harder to make? (Like, DM instead of Obsidian, and something with high EMC for replacing the diamond.)
I may or may not play GT. I also might be playing it with TiC. Some Metallurgy and ExtraTiC could be in the mix too. I might have also dropped in some TE as well. Some AE and BC could possibly be on the list. And I maybe- just maybe - there's NEI to assist in short-term memory loss that I may or may not have.
Can Red Water be nerfed a little? Cause I dont think its going to be easy to come up to it without a cow next to me at all times.
I think there will probably be a reason behind having the red water be that dangerous. We'll just have to see what other features Pahimar will add for it in the future releases. Oh and you could just take a bucket of milk with you and drink it once you've finished using your red water, you know. The poison won't kill you.

Well, being based off of FMA... The stuff is deadly toxic. Just be glad the debuff is poison, and not 'Wither', so you won't die without something else happening to you.
I've been thinking over how I might handle getting my stone dunked in red water, cuz I'ma wimp. Since you're blind, navigation will be However, I think if you plan carefully you can grab a bucket of milk, and with full health run to the stuff. Toss your stone in, grab it back out, back out of the effect and glug the milk. You'll take damage, but won't die. I think. Better do it during the day too, because you'll also be slowed and weakened.
Those who complain writhe in their own bathes of red water, not in anyone else's.
Okay, back to silent lurking. (Google says "You have visited this page many times.")

We'll see if that works.
Another solution, if you are able to move red water in buckets yet, is to create a verticle tower and place the red water in the middle of the tower and hold it up by signs. Then you can simply toss the Inert Stone through the top and collect the Minium Stone at the bottom. This is unless Pahimar decides that the Inert Stone has to "simmer" in the red water in order to gain it's magical powers.
you can always use piston or retreiver if you use redpower2 to let the stone drop if it does need to simmer in the red watter
im sure there is plenty of other creative way to get these result
im really liking these new thing coming to EE3 keep up the good work pahimar!
yeah i mixed retreiver and transposer bit rusty on my rp2 been a wile since it updated XD
well im sure pahimar dont intend us to dive in it from the direwolf video from 2 or 3 block away you are prety much screwed
so any way to put and get it from far is a good idea hell even maybe golem from thaumcraft 3 if they are not affected by the effect
im sure once people get their hand at it we will come out with original and creative way to trow/fetch it safely
Then both EE2 and EE3 should be maintained in my opinion, EE2 for single player and EE3 for multiplayer.
Agreed BIG TIME!
In my view EE3 is the broken mod for the reason that so much of what made EE2 fun was removed. I see EE2 as a tool, not a "be all end all" thing, and all things considered Alchemy SHOULD be OP otherwise it would be actually underpowering the techniques of Alchemy. EE2 should be MINIMUM updated for the singleplayer/lan users who want the features of it(which appears to be about 50% from the comments I saw). Then the players that don't want those features and such and would rather play "server style" can get EE3.
Pahimar has already stated, multiple times now, that he will not be working on EE2 anymore and is not allowed to give permission to anyone to update it, as the original mod is not his own.
I personally simply hate the idea of "lossless" transmutations in general. That is, if it takes 8 iron to get 1 gold, then it should take 1 gold should give about 6 iron. This way, you lose some in each direction. This prevents a player from freely swapping anything for anything without having to thinkg about it.
Another thing that ought to be fixed : 2-3 iron for an ender pearl (or vice vesa) is absolutely terrible. First of all, if you have iron, getting an ender pearl is HARD. You have to grind on endermen for hours and hours to get just 12 for opening an ender gate. And second, once you do get an ender gate open, ender pearls become a dime a dozen and it's trivial to get stacks of them. Receiving a mountain of iron in return is imbalanced.
It ought to be a ratio something like 4 iron blocks = 1 ender pearl and 8 ender pearls = 1-2 iron.
Maybe this mod isn't as OP as it used to be, but it is still not yet the paragon of balance compared to other mods.

But enderpearls are ridiculously easy to get and 4 blocks of iron for one is insane and 8 enderpearls for 2 iron is frickin retarded were is the "equivalent" in Equivalent Exchange" and i require a large amount of iron so swapping iron to gold then if i made to many i lose iron because i get less then i paid which is a terrible idea so at some point i will lose all my iron from swapping in and out.
Interesting only thing is I hope there is something like an Energy Condenser it was the only thing I used it makes Tekkit easier for automation ex: Automating Adv Alloy.

Though I guess that is a tiny bit of a cheap method. XD
