Ah, but MCP usually releases the latest version to Forge a few days *before* it's made publicly accessible.
Also, Lluixhi's almost done with the Python-->Gradle fixes in the build.xml, so we should be able to move onto more recent Forge builds soon(TM).
Okay, there was a drastic change in forge. You now need to use gradle. I'll try to fix pahi's build scripts, but it may be a while before everyone gets their build environments set up.
If you don't mind me asking, what's gradle?
Also, I'm pleased to see that Pahimar's still working on this mod. I'm really looking forward to seeing this mod come out of pre-release state.
My minium stone isn't working? To transmute things.. Is this a bug or an update? I'd it is a bug then it's most likely because of one of my other mods.
Intended. Wait for pre2, or use the Equivalency addon by Lomeli12.
Suffice it to say that a lot of blood, sweat, toil, and tears went into making this build -- and the forge gradle thing is still broken.
I don't really expect my pull request to get accepted... it's very messy.
@50Wliu, AbrarSyed is working on replacing the tokens in Java, which gradle doesn't do (gradle's so much better, right?)
@Lluixhi:
I know, right? In addition, all your hard work went down the drain with PR #500.
Recent EE3 news: pahimar went on a coding spree and then proceeded to rename CustomWrappedStack-->WrappedStack and rewrite it, and also worked on some other IMC/comparator stuff.
I changed around the directory structure to make for easier moving when I move the repo, so the changelog version might be a bit borked. IT IS NATURAL THAT YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE CHANGELOG FOR UP TO TEN (10) MINUTES AFTER THIS WRITING, SO DON'T PANIC.
EDIT: Looks like GH Pages updated instantly, nice! There shouldn't be any problems anymore.
how do i actually download this build, everytime i click on the jar file in the download page it sends me to a 404 page not found screen
It's working for me. If it still doesn't, click the changelog option, which gives you another way to download it. If that still doesn't work, https://github.com/50Wliu/EE3-Downloads
can someone honestly tell me what is happening on this mod, the official version has made no progress in just how long??? we still don't even have a philosophers stone crafting recipe and its still stuck at 1.5.2, can someone please tell me what the mod owner is actually doing?
DynEMC is taking a long time. If you are to impatient to wait than get out of this topic.

Nice to know you didn't even look 2 posts above you. Come back later when you've read a few pages of the thread.
@TheNeglected
Servers can use unofficial builds and so can mod packs...there are mod packs using some of the builds on this thread right now. Most of the guys making these builds are decently trusted and respected on these forums as well. What they were saying is that you should look for your own info first. You may or may not have noticed a few pages back people speaking about the work on DynEMC and how difficult it is to do something on such an awesome scale. If your not into using unofficial builds then you must be patient. This is a free service you haven't paid more than 5seconds per link click to use this mod.
1) im not impatient, i wanted infomation on whats going on.
2) if you payed attention to what i said im asking about the official version, not your unofficial version, which is what everyone else is talking about but is completely useless for any server mod pack.
1. If you really wanted information, you would read at least some of the thread
2. The only substantial difference between Wliu and Lluixhi's builds and any "official" build, is that the build was not compiled by Pahimar. They are building Pahimar's code into a useable form, and then posting links. No, the Philosophers Stone isn't implemented, and if you want to use the Minium Stone to transmute anything you're going to have to install Equivalency (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1792060-16xforge-equivalency-say-huzza-thermal-expansion-3-and-equivalency/) which adds back in all the removed transmutations.

Like Pwnzsolo said, give me 2 (good) reasons why "unofficial" versions cannot be used for server mod packs.
Read Pwnzsolo's post for more information. The only reason why we mark our builds as "unofficial" is because then people would think that it's an official version, and then proceed to yell at pahimar (and not us) that the mod isn't working. We also don't co-develop the mod, so marking it as official would be stealing pahimar's work. Other than that, our builds are exactly what pahimar would have released if he decided to release it at that specific commit (excluding some of RedmenNL's builds).
I'm using equivelancy to add back in the transmutations, but without using that mod, and there not being any transutations, what features are in the builds being posted here? Anything? I'm genuinely asking for information here and not being rude.
At the moment DynEMC is really the only feature in the current builds and it's still in its infancy, though it is important for pahimar to finish it as the rest of the mod will revolve around it. Once DynEMC is done, then we'll see new items and blocks appear.
On a server modpack, I could agree, and it's the number one reason why I'm not using the latest builds of EE3, but people need to test the build. Also it's not like these unofficial builds are being altered before being compiled- they might as well be being compiled by pahimar himself. What I hope you're not trying to say is that we can't trust unofficial builds, because that'd be pretty silly to suggest.

compiling and final bug checking are not the same thing. you have to admit that code of any kind that is constantly being amended and added to cannot be checked for bugs as extensively as a final series of bug testing that is done at the end of a new official version release
The process you are talking about IS part of the debugging process. Have you written any code before?

I think it's clear you lack the context to understand the answers that have been given to you. I never said every single build has been EXTENSIVELY debugged, I said it's part of the debugging process. As in, people are running these builds to see if any major issues come up, as they have been in the past 10-12 pages. And yes, it is possible to catch bugs this early in testing, unless of course something gets fundamentally rewritten like a version change from 1.5.2 to 1.6.2 sometimes forces.

Actually people did tell you that a working DynEMC model is still in the process of working and will be done "when it's done". You're the one who didn't listen, and you will not be missed.

i have had enough of this, as i stated before i came here requesting information on official progress and all i have gotten is hate and grief. congratulations on achieving nothing with this, goodbye
If you want to know whats being worked on, read the notes the other put with their builds - the code is what Pahimar has written, which I don't think you've understood. Alternatively, if you can read code, go check out https://github.com/pahimar/Equivalent-Exchange-3/ and you can see exactly what has changed.
There is no need to rage, you just haven't quite gotten what people are trying to tell you.
