Well I will admit they were quite interesting, I do think Pahimar is doing some pretty good work on this. I may find a few concepts to be non-ideal, but this is under the LGPL license, hence if you find something you don't like, or if you wish to add content, then the license enables you too.
For example, I don't really care for hunting mobs to get Minium, but I could modify it for use in SSP and add a mineral such as Minium ore if that doesn't exist. But I do actually kinda like the removal of power items, as those I think should be put into another mod, which will likely use the EE3 API that is being developed. Because to me, Equivalent Exchange has always been about alchemy at it's core, the ability to take some materials I have which I don't need, and use them to obtain some I could actually use. Then again, trading can somewhat help in that sense, but I think the trade system in Minecraft isn't completely perfect for the task.
Go on to Twitch, and watch Pahimar's livestreams. it explains most things. Dark Matter WILL return, and it may possibly have an upgraded version. The whole "Kill mobs to get Minium" is temporary. In his most recent livestream, he stated there will be a way to get Minium via the Red Water, involving a multi-block structure made of Obsidian and Glass.
A little bit of research saves hours of writing hate-posts. Stop speculating and do your homework.
Ooh, Red Water minium, that sounds swell. Whenever that becomes available that shall be excellent. Personally, I plan to use this mainly when it's more complete.

Pahimar don't even respond to these people, those that can't read the OP or grasp the fact that collectors and condensors are gone and that this is just a pre-release shouldn't get anything from you, not even a sarcastic reply like that one.
On another more positive note i want to say im really enjoying EE3 as it is and can't wait for pre2, good luck and thanks for everything.

For what it's worth, my in personal opinion, with EE2 once you achieved crafting a philosopher's stone, it didn't really feel like minecraft anymore. Still fun but not minecraft. The direction Lord Pahimar seems to be taking with EE3 in this iteration so far leads me to believe that this time around the mod will not take over the main game.
I'm going to miss the Destruction catalyst, it was perfect for creating my favored rail lines for supplies (Would use pipes, but have you ever tried to pipe supplies about 5,000 blocks? It kills computers.) and the collectors were useful to make otherwise impossible machines work. (Think along the lines of a bone-producing contraption for an high-paced auto-wheat, maybe auto-potato now, farm.) Ah well, as long as condensors are around in some way & I can pump all the useless crap I get from mega-quarries into it, I can accept it...

In all honesty though, I see a lot of people who really can't get the idea of differences between versions of EE.
I think the only thing they would be satisfied with is just rereleasing the version from 1.2.5. Then when the next update takes place demand it. Me, I find it interesting to see where your development effort will go, especially since I like the work you've done on Forge.
Just wanted to add my 2 cents in about the condenser debate.
I quite liked them, but I do agree it was a bit overpowered.
I would say, compromise a bit...make the rate of return diminish (physics), so, if you turned coal into stone, then stone back into coal, you would have less coal...
Also, make it only for low to medium values...such as redstone being the highest emc value replicateable...I mostly like it for mass producing stone for building stuff verses having to cook a bajillion cobblestone stacks to get enough resources..also, its the only feasable method of attaining a lot of wool (again, for building). Also good for bone replication, and simple things like that (farming purposes).
But I am currently playing FTB, which has no EE anyhow, so looking forward to whatever extras they add.
I would say though, add in swiftwolfs rending gale...thats the best flying device..but make it a bit more pricy...it is great, but something you should have to work for...although it is pricy as it stands now.

But Pahimar's adding Boots of the Direwolf for flight, I heard it on an episode of Direwolf20's. Also Pahimar, you should know [at least last time I tried, but that was in pre1a] that Oracle Turrets drop minium shards, and drop themself, and don't attack, so its very op.
