Due to the addition of more content into Minecraft, Block IDs had to be changed. Because this would already break an existing world, I completely reworked the configs so this issue should not arise in the future. This means that you will have to start a completely new world. But the benefit can be amazing sometimes. Enjoy.
AMCO now has it's own site at AMCO Mod Pack Check there for the complete list of mods in the pack and for special news about upcoming releases. It was brought to my attention that I slipped up. The list of the mods in the pack are with the download link on the website. So if you go to the downloads option you will see both the list and a link for the download. The download links are also in the instructions for installing below.
What is it: Dozens of the best mods out there, all tested and working together in one download (on Arrrg's system at least).
What's in it: Higher resolution graphics, new art, new minerals, new tools, better landscapes, new plants, more arrows, lots of bug fixes, and tons more. See the "Credits and Content" links below.

Here is a nice manual install video for PC
Here is a nice manual install video for MAC users
Here is a nice install for MultMC
Thank you TeamMCDivine and WubWubCrafters
NOTE: The changes in the pack should not break anyone's world nor have a major impact on it. Mostly I switched out some Risugami's mods and replaced them with more interesting ones. The 2 mods that might affect people will be the removal of the Armor Stand and the Shelf mod. I took these out because some users had reported that they were not displaying mod items correctly. I will see if a fix is available and if so make the necessary change and place them back in the game.
How to install it:
Backup Everything!Type %appdata% at the top of any explorer window to find the .minecraft folder.
Backup the entire folder by renaming it ‘minecraft_old’ (note the lack of ‘.’ at front).
AMCO requires a fresh copy of the game! There are several dozen mods in AMCO, so it is likely to conflict with anything but a fresh install of Minecraft.
MultiMC Users:
1. Download the MMC install file
2. Open the downloaded install file
3. Copy the enclosed AMCO 145 Rev 2 folder directly into the instances folder
4. Launch Multi MC, it will find the enclosed new instance you just created
5. Launch the instance doing a force update so it will download the minecraft files
6. Quit the game and then relaunch it. This will install the files and set everything up
7. Enjoy playing Minecraft with the AMCO mod pack
Manual Install:
1. Download the manual install file
2. Download a fresh Minecraft jar
3. Open the minecraft.jar file with your favorite archiving program (I use winrar)
4. Delete the META-INF folder inside
5. Open the manual install file you downloaded
6. Inside of the jars folder you will find additional archivred files.
7. Open the forge file first and copy the files inside into the minecraft.jar
Repeat this step for each of the files in the jars folders.
8. Now launch minecraft so that forge can create the required folders.
9. Exit the game.
10. Now copy all of the files in the minecraft folder in the zip (EXCEPT THE BIN FOLDER) to your .minecraft folder.
11. Launch the game and enjoy playing Minecraft with the AMCO mod pack.
Optional: But highly recommended. You'll have to install these yourself. Install 'Optifine'. Then, you can start using the high resolution texture packs included (or load your own high resolution one).
Optional: Don't like one of the mods? Disable it. Go to the .minecraft/mods folder and delete it.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
AMCO Tech Pack 1.4.5
Because I want get this out for a Christmas release the current download is for a MultiMC install. However, by the time most of you know about this I will be able to get a Manual Install ready and uploaded. Same instructions as above for install. Tech Pack
And here is the manual install: Manual Tech Pack
Known Bugs:
A bug with the NEI tool tips where if you look at torchberries/roots in block form, they will say sapling/NYI and dissappear. This makes it IMPOSSIBLE to get torchberries. Try turning off the Tool Tips option in the NEI Options
A small bug where if a limb sticks into a block, it crashes the game. Try setting the Limb Duration down to 5.
Minions Mod 'missing deed config file'. See the spoiler at the end of this for the fix and what to do with it.
Having Trouble? The forum can probably help, but error logs are required.
Reports bugs by replying to the forum with a copy or your error log.
To obtain an error log, download this batch file to anywhere and run it debug.bat
After running the error test batch file, a log window opens and starts Minecraft.
Make the problem happen again and then close Minecraft.
The log window should then have further instructions for you.
Right-click, Select All, then hit enter to copy it.
Recovery: (In case something goes horribly wrong)
1) Delete everything from the new .minecraft folder. Don’t delete the folder itself, just the contents.
2) Copy everything from the minecraft_old folder back into the .minecraft folder.
Credits and Contents:
ACMO is created from the fantastic work and written permission from all the modders involved.
Without it none of this would be possible.
Visit the AMCO site for complete info and a history of the pack.

I am looking for people who have an interest in Stargate and Technology, I will be building a tech pack addition of the AMCO pack to be released after the first of the year. I am looking to put the StargateTech mod in that pack. For those who are interested you can join with the developer, LordFokas, on irc.esper.net in #StargateTech.
Also, if you like the motion of the water in lakes and some of the other weather conditions we see in life, I would ask that you visit the site of a friend, who, against his usual decision, has allowed AMCO the exclusive right to distribute his mod with this pack. That would be my friend, Corosus, who does the weather mod included. You can find his weather mod (and all of his other as well) at Corosus's Mods. be sure to check out his site for some good mods.
LEGAL DISCLAIMER
1. The AMCO Mod Pack is the intellectually property of Arrrg and Shantomken and cannot be distributed through any means other than that provided through this forum thread and the Amco web site. Anyone attempting or actually distributing this mod pack through any other means can and will be processed to the full extent of the law.
2. I, Shantomken (aka Kenny) hereby put forth and profoundly proclaim that I will NOT assist anyone in getting permissions from a mod author. Nor will I attempt in any form or manner to get someone accepted to be a part of forgecraft. I do not have the acceptance with the people of forgecraft and, even if I did, use that to assist anyone attempting to.
As I am aware, a lot of you thought I would make the mod pack more 'tech' in nature. That is far from reality. I talked with Arrrg about taking over the pack because I had played the tech mods for a long time and they were, in reality, beginning to bore me. After checking out AMCO I began looking more and more at mods that expanded the environment and the playing arena more. I have found a few and been keeping an eye on them, watching to see if they update. A few have, others have not. But I contacted the authors of the major 'tech' mods and quite a few others and got permissions to use their mods in the pack. My first update is going to be mostly continuing the current mods in the pack and looking at others i know of to include. So for those who were worried that I would make AMCO a 'Tech Pack' lay your worries to rest. I have no intent of doing so, having found out the combination of tech stuff just made the game unbalanced.
For those who don't know, I go by 'Kenny' on irc (irc.esper.net) and can nearly always be found in #Direwolf20. However, with my now maintaining the AMCO pack, I plan to start a channel of my own specifically to help with any issues people have with installing the pack or errors that should occur. Once I have the channel in place and set up I will edit this post and put the channel name in.
For the moment this is SSP, though nearly all mods will be SMP after 1.3.2. I do plan to put together a server group if not all mods are up to smp (though this is unlikely).
@jalfje - I have been looking at Metallurgy and I talk with the dev from time time. I will speaking with him shortly and see if I can get permission to include his mod.

A release will be forthcoming within the next 3 days. As I am just taking over I want to just continue the current 1.3.2 pack into 1.4.2 while I search for some more interesting mods to use.
Thank you all for your patience while this switch from one maintainer to another takes place. Please bare with me while the full transition is made and the small kinks are worked out.

EDIT: I would like to regretfully announce the discontinuation of Glimmar's Steampunk Textures with the AMCO pack. It was Glimmar's decision to no longer be included with the pack and I respect that decision. It was fun while Glimmar's Textures were with the pack and it made it truly enjoyable. Those textures will be sorely missed and I wish the best to Glimmar with his future plans. Keep up the good work, and stay strong.
Hmm no offense but in my personal opinion I would have to say its not that great :\ Like it's fun for a little while and stuff. But the thing is I want something that all the mods more interrelate with one another. Maybe others see it but I just don't see the relation to each other. Lots of great mods don't get wrong just kinda thrown together. Also a little overkill. Maybe thought its just not what I am specifically looking for kept me busy for 2 hours though I'll admit that one...
I have used and loved this pack. I will grant it kind of lost a little something after 1.25. A few mods were taken out. That's what happens when stuff does not get updated. I am really looking forward to what these guys are gonna put together next. Arrrg really made minecraft fun for me.
Well, friends. I was going to release a pack for 1.4.2 but it seems Mojang is still on their update kick and we can expect 1.4.3 in a little over a week as they have put out a pre-release for 1.4.3. So I will hold off on doing the 1.4.2 and begin setting up a 1.4.3 pack. I do have some not so happy news. Due to some of the mods adding in more content (Mysterious Ores for one) I am going to have to re-work the ids for the mods. I hate doing this cause I know it will cause your old worlds to break. But with this new pack will come an id system that will (hopefully) eliminate having any more id issues in the future.
Any thoughts on this please post here or send me a pm. The new id system will take advantage of the 4096 addition and should eliminate any future issues.

the 1.4.2 to 1.4.3 will probably mean almost nothing to modders except for cpw and lexmanos.
Also, why is this marked for 1.4.2 when there is no 1.4.2 version? You should tag it as 1.3.2, otherwise it is false advertising
Let me begin by saying, congrats Shantomken. I would hate to see this mod stop being updated.
I really like the fact that this mod pack really keeps you entertained untill the next updates. I love the fact that it gives me a reason to want to go adventuring as well as mining. I am not really a tech type of person, but I do like the fact that I have the option to learn at my own pace if I choose to. Another words, I like having a few of the Tech mods added, but it dosen't make it so that I need to make things in order to get anywhere in the game. So yeah, I am all for adding anything you see fit, cause it makes adventuring much more fun, and really pleases the "need to grab anything that isn't nailed down in the game" in me lol.
I would love to see a multiplayer version as well...or an ability to make it so that I can play on multi player worlds without having to change my minecraft folders.
Also, please don't feel rushed. I would much rather play a well thought out and as bug free as possible update, than an update that is released too fast and having bugs.
I must apologize to all of you for the problems that have arisen in updating to 1.4.2. A number of the mods have not updated and I didn't want to put out a small pack just to make myself look good. When I release a the pack I want everything in it to be solid and working and without any hassles. I am (emphasis) hoping that Minecraft will stay stable at 1.4.4 long enough for me to have a solid pack to give all of you.
Also there have been a couple of problems for some of the mod authors and I have been helping them out to get their mods updated to 1.4.2 at least. Please bear with me in this crazy time. I thought that a 1.4.2 update would go smoothly but it has turned out to be a small hassle.
Thank all of you for your patience with me in this matter and I hope that the pack I will be able to builod will satisfy all of you
OK! Finally Minecraft settled down and I got a new mod pack together. Because of the new content added into Minecraft old save worlds would have broken. Because of this I have reworked the ids and now have them set up in such a way that there should be no problem adding in mods or switching them around in the future.
As it stands right now, the pack is still SSP. I'm working on putting together a server pack to match the main SSP pack. You will forgive me but i have no intention to try and do 2 mod packs at once by doing a separate server pack of its own. I will put together a server version for the pack itself. This will take a bit. I'll release a server pack for the current SMP mods. After that I will see about getting the remaining mods up to SMP. This latter concept will take time so bare with me.
I hope you enjoy the pack I have put together. Some of the prior mods had not updated to MC 1.4 at all and needed replaced. In an effort to keep some balance, fun, and add in elements that had been requested this was my final set up. Enjoy and let me know what you think. I welcome suggestions and will consider each submission.

Due to the addition of more content into Minecraft, Block IDs had to be changed. Because this would already break an existing world, I completely reworked the configs so this issue should not arise in the future. This means that you will have to start a completely new world. But the benefit can be amazing sometimes. Enjoy.
