I will not make it modloader compatible. I see why I should, but honestly that would be a lot more hassle then it would be beneficial. Forge and Risugami's modloader do things differently, therefore i would have to take to time and effort to learn another API. Then If I do learn it, I would have to update and maintain 4 different sources, while 2 is enough work. If someone would like to be a gent or a lady and work next to me to have a modloader version, feel free to contact me.
In my opinion Modloader is better. And I can´t use the other installed mods with Forge.
Better *HOW*? It does quite a bit less and is still only single player.
That spells quite a bit worse. Now either install forge to use this mod or go away.

Lets not make this thread a spitting contest between the two Loaders.
update:
Also Guys i am working on a completely rework of the mod, and so far it is a ton better... no more weird things when u enchant something. It will stay will it's suppose.

Is it too much to hope for a better UI? Love the mod concept but it's a bit odd to use. (not that i'd design anything better initially)
Odd occurrence here. I have two computers capable of running Minecraft. This morning I updated Enchanting Plus one my second, lesser, computer to v1.1.9. Launched the game. Received a message stating that I was using an old version and should update to 1.1.8. What's up with that? (NOTE: I have not yet updated my primary computer to v1.1.9 and likely won't until this version weirdness is resolved.)
Thanks for the recent repair addition. Enchanting Plus is now pretty much equal to the old Better Enchanting mod. Better Enchanting / Enchanting Plus remains the only mod I feel essential to gameplay. Well, an HD texture pack and utility mods like Optifine and Magic Launcher. But Enchanting Plus is the only game-altering mod I use or need.

btw. should it be possible to log into a server which has it installed without having it on the client side? i did just that a while ago to try it out, and i logged in normally. enchanting table didn't work at all, and my inventory got all messed up after trying to use it (random stuff got duplicated, reorganized and went into weird spaces like crafting grid or armor slots) until i reconnected with the mod active.
note this happened with 1.1.14, can't check if it still happens to the newer 1.1.9 since the server's currently using an outdated one. gonna report once it updates.
Sorry that that happens, i didn't know it was an issue before. I will look into it after I wake up.
Better in the terms of what? I am always open to mod suggestions.
ah, right. specific, wasn't I?
couple tweaks:
1: A running XP total while your sliding the bars around in enchanting mode.
2: Shrink the thing vertically a bit and use the same box area for enchanting and disenchanting maybe?
For 1.3.2:
Install 1.3.2 Forge to your Minecraft.jar (Link is in the description and clearly says 1.3.2)
Delete META-INF
Close the minecraft.jar
- Optional: Run Minecraft to confirm forge is installed, it will say so in the menu after you log in. Then Close Minecraft.
Put the EnchantingPlus-1.0.0.5.jar into the mods folder.
Run Minecraft and enjoy enchanting with style.
For 1.4.1 just install the latest version of Forge and the latest version of the mod and adjust my instructions to compensate. (Links are in the description)
Could you please make a 'zip mod folder' instead, because I'm running linux and usually I would have to; right click it, tick the box 'run as application' then run it, but nothing happens.
a "zip mod folder"? that doesn't even make a bit of sense. you dont have to run nor unzip the mod for it to work. it doesn't matter if its windows or *unix my mod goes into the mods folder under your minecraft directory. on *unix, this is normally ~/.minecraft/mods
But guys I will look into this in a bit.
No, just use Forge, it's 4,000 times better and it'll still load Modloader content.
I tried adding it as a .jar and MCP couldn't see it. Then I tried to zip it, then loaded it into MCP but again it didn't work.
Is it possible to use MCP and forge at the same time?
I only play single player.Never mind I figured it out.
like. you re using the mod without a friend knowing.
like that

This was an issue thank you.
Actually 1.1.9 that it reports is a newer one, since the build numbers changed awhile ago when I switched to automatic builds instead of manual.
Sorry that that happens, i didn't know it was an issue before. I will look into it after I wake up.
but you should add a discription to what the enchantment does when you hover over it in the enchanting table.

now i have a black screen?
Can u provide more information like, Minecraft & Forge Version and version of the mod.
