Uh, how to stop aliens from spawning due to facehuggers? Turn off huggers. There are plenty of mods that allow alteration of mob spawns. Predators and Engineers are quite rare, so they can't overrun the world.

i think this is planned as a feature, for now, you jave to use /avpsettings to edit the spawns ingame(or use a different mod that allows for spawn tweaking)
sadly, you'd have to prepare your own natural hives etc. for now(or use a modpack where this has already been done)

Yes! I am looking forward to it with great anticipation. May suck to start over again on Promethues rising but omg it is totally worth it!
P.s. I just want you to know, the only reason (and I am being serious) I ever considered playing minecraft was because of your mod. Not even kidding, this is the only thing I do with Minecraft! If it isn't AVP, I am not playing minecraft unless you are a friend and I really like you.

Sounds great, Ri! Just so we all know, may we see a list of upcoming features? It'd be good to see everything that will be coming up. Also, don't delete the 1.7.10 versions from your servers. Some of us would like to use those to reminisce on the old AVP.

Update Progress: Last night the processor in my desktop died. As a result, I now have to order a new one to continue using my desktop. This will delay the 1.10 update, as all of my progress is on the same machine. I will post again once I determine how long this is going to set the update back.
Technical Information
The CPU was an Intel Core i7 5820K. It was overclocked to 4.3GHz and stable for a year or more. 3 days ago I overclocked it further, in a way that was in no way safe to operate for an extended period. I did this, ran a benchmark, restarted it, reset all the settings back to the way they were, saved, and shut down the computer. Brought it to my friend's place, started it up, noticed it had trouble starting up the first time, and didnt think anything of it. Rebooted it, and it started up fine. Left it running two days, started up a game at the end of the second day, played for a bit, the game crashed. Tried again, the game crashed. Went into the BIOS to find that the unstable overclock settings were somehow back. When I brought my machine back home, I tested my CPU in another motherboard to rule out motherboard damage and the problems persisted. I now find myself struggling to round up $400 for a new processor.
I would pull my drives out and use them in another machine until I get a new processor, but that would do no good as the 1.10 update repository is stored on my primary drive, which is of M.2 form factor. I have no spare machines with M.2 compatibility.

Hey, I have a question. If I build a structure for the AVP mod to offer to you guys, but it was built in lets say, 1.7.10 or 1.8 would the structure still be able to transfer to AVP as a generated structure after the 1.10 update?

AvP blocks should be able to transfer over. What's you structure? Got any screenshots of it (if so make an imgur album of it, not as attachments)?

Ri something that popped into my head last week was that xeno camo should be in the mod. it would make hive managing much easier and it could be a cool suit like from the space marines comic. it is like a power loader suit but the xenos cant detect you as a threat and move along.

I know what I want to build, its a small building from the AVP 2010 campaign that I thought would be cool to recreate but I've been busy school wise and haven't even open Minecraft in like... a month and a half? Semester is finishing up here so I will probably build it sometime at the end of the month and from there I shall make stuff and let you know how it goes from there.

as far as i know, Ri is just fixing the last errors now and then updating it to 1.10, i think he'll only start adding new stuff when that is done
