Correct, as a base it is. However uses will make the two systems different. If your applying towards Names of everything, names are just names. Its much simpler to explain things using familiar terminology.

If I was to say, this is the "soulkeeper".. and over here is the "Deep Red Stone of Hell that drinks Blood of my enemies", and they are used for a common feature.... *Most people are still caught up in reading the name at this point* XD

As for new items and such, atm I am not at that stage (I have to re-Code / change every little piece of coding , create new textures and itemsheets, and make sure the new weapon mechanics are enjoyable/working).

I have been reading all posts everyone replies with and Enjoy all the different ideas coming out. Bloodsteel (mechanics), names for items, crafting recipes, and over all what would be neat to see in minecraft.

Sadly anything with a durability is not allowed to be stacked. Besides currently a keeper is like a battery or with a talisman- a 1 up.

oh crap.....but it will be kinda annoying to bring a least 2 keepers when having boss fight....
well...plan B:new storage item......maybe soullocker?(8 keepers+1 eye of ender-->1 locker....)

I wish Mojang would introduce a backpack feature (added inventory room) to Steve. Sadly the last working code for such ideas was destroyed with Minecraft 1.3.2.

The most I can do about inventory room is to add Large versions of the keepers, which of course would require rarer materials. (Maybe that is one use for Soul Gems and Blood Gems. Because I redid the keeper coding, Larger storage items are a snitch to make.

Btw... I want to make sure everyone knows this. The reason Soul and Blood farming seems similar is due to my development concept. I believe players should be able to start into either systems relatively quickly, from a New World stand point.

I am not focusing on a Tech tree design persay, however you can craft/augment more things as you progress. To the Point: I don't think you have to basically finish Minecraft before you can start on Harken Scythe. I want pretty much everything to be useful as the player progresses.

I've been playing this when this mod haven't got hot.....that time I haven't been to nether..
now,still haven't~~
and.....the larger keeper thing....I just hope the needed material won't be so rare(like diamond,emerald...etc)....maybe gold(BUTTER!!!!) is a good option...(cuz gold is quite useless in minecraft...)

one more thing.....will you add new contents on chainz when 1.5 is out??

Great mod! My favorite item is the talisman especially since the harbingers (at least i think that's what they are) just love to kill me in 1 or 2 hits.

For some reason this mod just doesn't work. it literally doesn't work. no crash or anything. Forge recognizes it but it doesn't put it into Minecraft. It's only with the 1.4.7 version too. 1.4.6 works fine though.

Make sure you redownload the link, there was a problem with the first download links. Also be sure you have the newest Forge installed.

How about an idea for the expanded soul keeper. Instead of a bigger soulkeeper, how about using the mysterious power of the Eye of Ender to "compress" the souls in the bottle? that way, more souls should be able to fit. eg 50 souls. Using the magical properties of gold (high enchantability) to line the inside of the soulkeeper, and a single eye of ender, the soul keeper should be able to contain more souls. soulkeeper/essence flask + 2 gold ingots by the sides + 1 eye of ender on top = End Vessel. When contains souls becomes Soul Vessel, or a Sanguine Vessel if blood is added into it.

I like it icymountain, only change I might do tho is 40 rather then 50 cap. Not sure

As for the names. End Vessel is great, Soul Vessel, k. Sanguine... nice word you found there. (LoLz btw?)

I will add this promptly to coding. Should Bloodkeeper then be named Sanguine Keeper aswell?

On another note: I finally found a name to call the Zamber weapons. While the Wild arms wiki does state Ziekfrieds weapon was named the "Glumzamber" which when broken down ends up being a massively large sword. However in the game his weapon (besides the name) is referred as the Hungering Dark Spear.

Because of gameplay refferances and simply "Zamber" is... well odd for a name. The new weapons will be called "Glaive". A spear with a broad bladed tip.

Bone Glaive... mostly likely with a vampiric type mob... maybe ^_-

I'd suggest a Revenant for the bone glaive wielding mob... it's a type of undead from Western Europe that could either be an animated corpse or spirit, which many were associated with early stories of vampires, as they gorged on the blood of the living at times, at others just caused intense misery through spreading of disease.

Anychance you are gonna have a custom render for your glaives when being held? Like having a back as well that makes it feel more likes a spear?

I would enjoy having a custom render for the Glaives. Soonas I get a better handle of Item rendering, you can be sure Glaives will get some loving.
