Whenever I approach any of the new mobs (crabs specifically...) I get one hit. Am I just a wimpy ass mofo? Or is this a glitch?
Without preparation a good portion of the added mobs will demolish you. This isn't a mod that you can jump tiers without considerable skill or luck. Take it in chunks and don't try to engage anything without considerable thought into how it will go.

Funny thing, i went to challenge the crabs too, and a NORMAL CRAB (no, not a King Crab) killed me in two hits! WAI?! HOW CAN IT PINCH YOU THROUGH IRON ARMOR?! D:
I am playing and getting inspired a lot by this mod. I want to make an adventurous world, full of villages and places to find. Since I can't render videos for now, I will screenshot some sights on my map.
[spoiler A little play on the texture: I usually recolor Painterly for recording (and personal use) purposes. But this actually shows that the five dimensions can already look much better and apart from each other if different textures are elaborated.
This is Black Rock, an Nether village made using this mod blocks. It hides from the world, but Zombie Pigmen and an ocasional mob or two jumps in. It is inhabited by Zombie and Hell Pigmen (thanks to another mod I use a lot)
This is Chorizo. He is important to my map and my story.
The goblin village, where they live peacefully with their new friends, the cyclops.
A regular village, completely changed with this mod's blocks. I am yet deciding which race will live in here - probably Sahagins.
And to finish, we have Gob the Hero facing the Ancient Entity in the Ancient Valley, the arena I made for this battle. Note that Ancient Entity skin is custom and made by me - oposed to the block textures. I wanted to give it a "Shadow of the Collossus" taste.
[/spoiler]
Sadly, I can't make a series for now, thanks to my computer being senile. Still, the work continues...
but lan with this mod is pretty fun

Yeah just to say that didnt go well...
Good to know... But Crabs? I mean CRABS?

"It's always to early to quit"
Currently I don't believe it works with Magic Launcher.
Crabs are very vicious. (Also the beach mobs are deeper into the mod than say, the undead miner.)

Edit: This is what happens when you don't sleep for over 24 hours. You do stupid things.
