Yeah, it's a serious problem and I wish pat would realise the textures are being stolen and just stop reviewing them...
Fat chance of that, he'd still use them even if he knew that. He knows his audience is a bunch of fools who only care about the worst mod that single handed, killed the game (IMO) and don't know what a mod with real effort is.
Hey guys, I'm trying to host a server to play a modpack using AOA with my buddy (The pack is called The Epic Quest, first thing i found with both AoA and Minecolonies). On singleplayer everything works fine and dandy, but the pack didn't have server files so I had to make my own by downloading the same forge version, making a folder, and copying over the "mods, config, and scripts" folders from my Twitch instance single player folder into this new server folder.
I host a singleplayer world to generate all the AoA dimeensions, and move that world folder into the server folder as well. I can host the server via the jar, and join the server via the client no problem. The issue I'm having is that on my SMP server the client seems to be having trouble spawning in custom entities from AoA, and also another dungeon mod.
The admin window just tells me its "Skipping Entities with Entity ID" and then various nevermine entities and such. I've searched that error, but the results are just that my game simply isn't spawning them in properly, and that they're leftovers from the single-player world data that did load them properly. The only thing I can think of is that when I made the server folder and copied the mods, config, and scripts folders over, there wasn't actually a scripts folder. My server folder doesn't have any scripts. Do I need scripts to get "AoA," or "Just another mob loader" to work properly on multiplayer? The game isn't crashing so I don't exactly have logs, it's just defaulting to vanilla mob spawning.
TLDR I can't seem to get custom mobs to spawn on SMP and I feel I'm missing something super basic but important
Edit: lmao I was runnin the vanilla jar and not the forge jar. You gotta run the forge to get mods workin XD
What does "INB4" stand for? Is there a link?
If regular is Vanilla then what flavor is your Minecraft?
It means he's predicting whats about to happen.
Okay then?
If regular is Vanilla then what flavor is your Minecraft?
What's going on now?
It shouldn't be able to be accessed currently. I checked using https://dinnerbone.com/minecraft/tools/status/ .
And yet another lucky block mod that is stealing AoA textures.:
Something must be done about this.
I literally commented about the stealing stuff on that video!

I literally just yesterday deleted my backup files for using that server.

What's going on for Xolova's new game?
Just wait and see, no spoilers have been released yet.

The server never seems to be running for me, even when I enter the real IP...

I'm in the process of looking at fixing bugs for this mod & potentially updating it to 1.12 so it's not lost forever...
I've sent a message to Xolova regarding him passing on a copy of the source code to me, but as I expected he isn't responding at all.
Hopefully I can get him to reply on here with permission or to get him to reply to me.
I'd like to publicise the 1.12 version when it's finished, but I won't really be able to unless Xolova gives me some permission.
For the time being I'm working on a rebuilt codebase of the mod that I've put together myself..

It is better you can keep updating AoA as well while you know the source code.
Unfortunately I wouldn't rightly be able to share it with you guys unless Xol. gave me approval =/
In the meantime however, I'm focusing on massive performance improvements and code optimisation to make this thing run much faster and smoother.
I also want to try and get as many bugs fixed as I can - so if anyone has any bugs from 2.4.B to report, drop them here and I'll patch them in
Hopefully by the time Xol. comes back with a response I'll be able to share it and I'll have the majority of things fixed.

I still somewhat miss the fun times on the official AoA server... alas things change.
