Iv'e been waiting for this for a long time. I wonder if the crystal ravines made a comeback...
I have just one request, can you make the generation optional? So it will be a generation option like superflat? This way I can load vanilla seeds and other stuff like that.
Neat mod. Not sure if it will work with forge I see something about ML. To bad that one sort of died. If only people would stop holding onto the past and be less of a flowerchild
Ahhh this is perfect, i'd say better in every way than extrabiomes! It's a shame you won't be making a forge version though. :/ I'll probably have to pass just because it wouldn't be compatible with 90% of the other mods i'd like to use and pretty much giving every single user everywhere absolutely no reason NOT to download haha. Now that forge absorbed modloader much, much more people have been using it, its kind of gaining a monopoly on the api world and with good reason. Ah well, absolutely fantastic mod though! Keep it up! Maybe some kind soul with wayyy too much free time on their hands would volunteer to port you over to forge sometime in the future hahaha
I got some really weird lag when I was using this mod, here's some video I really like it and can't wait to play/ record me finding all the different Biomes
I saw your mod on this reddit post here and wanted to make two additional biomes suggestion:
Biome Suggestion - Bamboo Groves
I've outlined a suggestion here for adding Bamboo to Minecraft. Now I'm not badgering you to make the whole thing into a mod, but If you think it's a worthy aesthetic addition, perhaps you could make a simple Bamboo grove biome with separate bamboo blocks. Dinnerbone has been cited stating he wanted to add pandas to the game, so it would synergize with that possible addition as well.
Biome Suggestion - Cherry Blossom Groves
This one is a less developed concept, but it's basically another vibrant, relativly flat biome with pink trees and tall grass.

Hey, what is your stance on people doing Mod Reviews on this? I run a Youtube channel that gets modest views, I know my way around an editor so there's no laggy BS and proper cuts and audio etc., and I can make your mod reach a wider audience. But I need to know if I would be able to cover it for commercial use, crediting you both in video and in the video description. Would this be okay?
you, sir, are a godsend. i HATE dealing with forge, and every biome mod out there uses it. finally, a biome mod that is compatible with "better than wolves." please have my babies.

The more videos about it, the better!
However, I'm going to be updating the mod tomorrow (Well, later today...It's 5 AM and I haven't gone to sleep yet. :P) with a few new biomes and some other stuff, so if you could wait until then, it'd be a lot better for both of us.
Looks interesting, I'd definitely try that one out but I'm still playing 1.2.5 so I have to pass.
I think its a pity you stopped working on the EBXL-Team (I really liked the Biomes added through your RPG-Addon) but its your decision. And since I already mentioned EBXL:
Are the two mods compatible? I mean, since they both have some similar blocks/biomes will I get 2 blocks called "Red Rock" for example?
Not designing for compatibility with Forge is going to hurt the success of the mod because it will greatly limit the possibilities of players wanting to use mods that add content with your mod.
In creative mode, I am running into this problem where the world "drops off" and stops rendering chunks. I try to go back to where i came from, and I am limited to a certain small area where i first encountered the "drop off." When i save quit and reload, it comes back to a random earlier point before i hit the drop off. is this a problem on my end or on yours?
Same thing happened to me on a map, it started in the Ominous Woods biome, connected to a mystic grove, meadow, and desert.
I got trapped and a chunk was missing all around the forest. Every time I reloaded I was trapped. I hope this gets fixed.
I made a quick and dirty Painterly pack that supports this mod. The red rocks aren't matched particularly well, but it was just a 30 minute job to keep things from clashing too much.

I'm seeing a lot of floating blocks but I'm sure that'll get ironed out eventually.

(I'm also in the middle of doing textures for metallurgy, which is considerably more of a pain in the **** than this mod.)
edit: okay, I have to go, but apparently that isn't working in-game. The textures for this mod should be in "biomesop", correct?
