I'm talking about the settings for ore depth, patch size, spawn tries and so on that you can customize in the settings screen for a customized world in Vanilla minecraft, not neccessarily which ores can occur in which biomes. I haven't seen any settings regarding that and using the vanilla setting names as generator parameters doesn't seem to affect it.
Edited : i gave up .. i am not good at scripting so i am not sure what all i was doing wrong .. far as biome tweaker but nothing i typed in worked .. then with Realisitc Terrain Generation i went into each and every individual biome file and changed caves and ravines to 0 cause it stated set to 0 to disable ... and it did not get rid of them ... and Geographicraft crashes my game ... so i guess i am stuck with ravines and caves ... thank you for the suggestions though
it was the realistic i didn't do .... i tried playing on the biomes o plenty setting... i actually figured out my mistake just a few minutes ago and came to edit .. but yes i do have realistic terrain generator , biome tweaker and geograficalcraft installed .... it all works perfect now ... but yea ... thanks again for the help sadly i know the basics of the game .. but when i try out new mods i become a noodish failure and it will take me hours to figure out a simple process ...seriously though this happened to me when i installed BOP ... i kept playing on default world and wondered why none of the BOP biomes were loading ............................. so i really should have figured that out sooner .. thank you @robijnvogel and @lelek6 for the help ...
yea i know .. i was going through all measures that night trying to figure out where i was going wrong .. so i installed them all ... which was why my game crashed at one point .. i had to solve that issue by giving myself a bit more memory ... really i am slow at all this stuff ... after i got it to work i just didn't go in and delete any of them ... i probably need to clean out my mods folder sometime or i will probably bog my game so much i wont be able to play ... thing with this is i have so many mods .. i don't know what goes where ... so i just keep putting it off :/ .. i do know this makes it harder when i need help and i am sorry for this ... but usually when i do ask for help i end up getting myself confused but surprisingly enough it always ends good .. so i go by the if its not broke .. dont bother trying to fix it ... it works and i am too afraid to delete anything in fear i will only mess myself all up again ... beings my issue is solved i do appreciate all your patients with me and thank you for the help ...even though i took a weird turn from what you told me to do it did still end up working... when i have time i will definitely clean the files up some . don't need the horrible crashing again
Hi, I was wondering if you might be able to bring back the scrubland biome. I liked this one a lot because it resembles the terrain of Southern California and Italy, but for some reason it has been excluded in recent updates.
Is it possible for you to make the 1.11.2 version compatible with forge 1.11.2-13.20.0.2228? Because i really wanna use it for my server but the forge version is 2228 and not the 2279 like it says and i cant run the old forge 2279 because no server host has that.
Was your intention to explain what FileZilla was or did i said something wrong?
I am using FileZilla too and it works perfectly for me. Just to say.
The former, I suspect. Your phrasing before mentioned "an FTP option" and then FileZilla as if it was something else. What the host can provide is an FTP server. That is the "back end" which exposes the files to an FTP client, such as FileZilla (or the Unix "ftp" command, or the built-in FTP clients of most web browsers). If the host doesn't offer FTP service, FileZilla and other clients can knock on their firewall 'till kingdom come, to no avail.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
Are you 100% sure that it does not tell you that it needs a minimum version of Forge that you are not using?
Because a certain Forge version is the only dependency that BoP has.
Oh, I eventually got it to work today, so thanks anyways, I guess.
I'm really sorry if this was already a thing somebody asked, but I'm so new to all this and this thing is 600 pages long.
I have minecraft 1.12 and I've installed Forge and Biomes O' Plenty and it all works fine for about nine minutes. At this point it starts to lag terribly in two second intervals, and it lags in the same way whether or not the world I'm in has biomes from the mod in it. If I quit Minecraft and re-load it, it works fine for another nine minutes, and then begins to lag again. It doesn't lag if I remove the mod from the 'mods' folder and I have no other mods installed aside from Forge and what appears to come with it.
Any suggestions for this? I've really enjoyed the mod so far except that I've only been able to enjoy it for nine minutes at a time.

I'm no good with mods, but maybe the mod is too much for your PC to handle. I have no clue, but I'll bump the thread so people will give you more attention.

If you have a crash report please post it makes it a lot easier to pin point the trouble, also you can try and allocate more ram to minecraft see it solves the issue.
What I assume is a wasp spawner in some of the beehives in the nether does not spawn anything. Also, I went into an orchard biome and found that the leaves were decaying all over the place without me having interacted with the trees.
Also, sorry if this has been asked before (I'm not reading through 600 pages to find out), but are there plans to add boats?

Why? Make these changes globally in /config/RTG/rtg.cfg file:
in caves{} section, and
in ravines{} section.
BTW: these values are set to "false" by default, so I think @Robijnvogel is right: you didn't use Realistic World type

I'm getting a laptop solely for this mod. It's so perfect, amazing job 💓
It says, "Biomes O' Plenty is missing mods it depends on." What other mods are required?[/b]

It never crashes, it just lags badly.
I have a rather new computer, I got it less than a year ago, so I doubt it's too much for it, but I don't know much about any of this.
post the fml-client-latest.log via pastebin or gist, you likely don't have enough RAM allocated
How come scrubland was removed? Easily the best looking biome ...
Good mod, but I this is my fave biome in real life...
I would add some No Man's land... xD Forget it...

Also, were the added types of stone removed? Why?
