Howdy, I am very new to the world of Modding Minecraft, but I just wanted to say how amazing this mod looks. I have played on a couple of friends' servers that used FTB modpacks with BOP and am addicted. Currently don't have any of those servers up and running so I'm looking into learning to mod my own games. While having some trouble installing Forge (which still isn't resolved, but definitely is NOT something to bother ya'll about) I decided to read this thread. All of it. I got to about page 269 and let me tell you it was a wild ride. I'm really looking forward to getting things set up and getting to enjoy your beautiful work again, but I saw something on another thread that caught my eye. Since compatibility is an ever present complaint, apparently someone is attempting to develop a mod specifically to make mods compatible with each other:
Also, a google search for a wikki for this mod produced several results, none of which seemed to be in great shape. Is there an official place I can go to look for a current (I understand the newest version 1.8 is still in development and therefore incomplete and such a site would not be applicable to it) version of the mod that has a comprehensive list of biomes, plants, trees, etc.? All I saw on the OP was the IMGR page and I only saw biomes
Actually, the kingfisher has some connection to my nickname, which is Dutch for Rubybird. I am still not certain if a ruby bird would be a kingfisher, a robin or another weird bird.
Considering how close "Robijn" and "robin" are, I'd suggest that, and robins are reknowned for the red chests Kingfishers are more orange and turquoise. But it's your word
Ok, so I finally got Forge working and all that nice jazz, now I have a quick noob question. When I open the download link on the OP of this forum, there is a set of options for the latest version. I assume the API is the one I need to download and install?
****************EDIT*******************
NVM, never assume that just because something is the first option, that it is the best option. I got it though.
Been having an odd ticking entity error lately, and the crash report seems to indicate BoP might be involved? I confess, it's pure speculation on my part. The first line always mentions the Biomes O Plenty coral, and then falling sand. It appears to happen when I'm exploring new chunks near oceans as well, though it's hard to predict. When I first started my world, it never happened once. As I continued to explore, it started to happen very infrequently...and now it's finally gotten to the point that I simply can't use that world anymore. The moment it loads, the game crashes with this same error.
I tried starting a new world, and while it's usable for now, I did get a crash with this same error message once. Restarting minecraft didn't repeat it though, which makes it seem like it's a kind of progressive thing.
Very odd! I've been playing modded minecraft for some time now, and I haven't seen anything quite like this before.
If this isn't a BoP thing, or if anyone here can offer help, it's greatly appreciated. I'd hate to lose my first world. I'd come quite far in it, and was preparing for some really fun stuff.

This sounds like the falling entity bug, where Minecraft crashes if you try to replace a block that's about to become a falling block. It's actually a bug in Minecraft where Minecraft doesn't take out a falling entity when it should. Mods have to work around it by not replacing blocks like sand and gravel. Do you have any other mods changing the seafloor?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Geographicraft (formerly Climate Control) - Control climate, ocean, and land sizes; stop chunk walls; put modded biomes into Default worlds, and more!
RTG plus - All the beautiful terrain of RTG, plus varied and beautiful trees and forests.
Hmm! Not that I know of...I think BoP is my only big worldgen mod, but I will doublecheck to make sure. I do play a couple of other modpacks, and haven't had this pop up before, so it may be a mod unique to this build. That narrows the suspect list considerably.
Thanks for the suggestion! Is the only solution the removal of the offending mod, or might there be some setting or config option that would fix it?
I think that there should be additional sub-biomes to the deep ocean, like hydrothermal vents, trenches, mid-oceanic ridges, and cold seeps. These biomes would make the deep ocean a more interesting place to build a base. If possible, the hydrothermal vents could feature an immovable block that slowly spawns lava on top, adding an extra incentive to colonize the location.
I'm getting the following message when I run the 1.8 version of Biomes O' Plenty. I have the correct version of Forge running (11.14.3.1468). The only other mods I'm running are 1.8 versions of Not Enough Items and Code Chicken Core. How can I fix this?

I am getting a continuous crash on block #180 stone formation Crash report is linked below due to report size. This has stopped my server as this is where I am currently located and cannot move out of unless I delete player data.
Could you, next time, post that crash report on Pastebin and then link that here?
You do not have to delete you player data. You can edit just the coordinates with NBT Explorer. It is not that hard, just try it.
Done and dropbox requires no membership to retrieve files so all your doing is DL a text file. But as requested if its more convenient to you link is above in post.
I do not want to start the world gen over this is a 10kx10k map with structures. This would be a major setback.
My concern with block #180 are these statements.

hi so im having a really wierd i guess u could call it bug, between tinkers construct and biomes o' plenty, so when i start a new world with both mods in the overworld biomes are messed up, deserts become made of stone, grass becomes soulsand, stone becomes endstone, trees become lava, with netherrack for wood, apart from that everything else is normal, im using biomes o' plenty ver 2.1.0.1396 for 1.7.10, and tinkers construct ver 1.8.7 for 1.7.10, i have sent a screen shot of what it looks like.
Have you added the blocks in the "microblocks" config file?
ooh i have not..
Is there a config that I could download and replace it with?
EDIT: NVM, I found it! Heres the link to the one I used

To be honest, this mod is a master piece, for me, this mod cant compete with extra biomes XL or high lands. One of he best mods EVAR!!!!
