Maybe you could add a new item whose recipe is spider eye, sugar, and red mushroom, to make a crystalized spider eye, then smelt that to make redstone?
I use this mod to play on a Skyblock map and having renewable redstone dust in addition to leather would be really handy. =D

Maybe Red Dye instead? (Just kill skeletons, get bonemeal, and place it on grass)
I thought it fit because spider eyes are red and red mushrooms are red. Cook it, grind it into a powder... Instant redstone dust?
You could probably use red dye instead of sugar to complete the red trinity, but I was trying to parallel the fermented spider eye recipe. On the positive side, red dye is much more difficult and time consuming than sugar to obtain, so it is more 'hardcore' recipe.
It was just a random thought that I felt like sharing. Something I would appreciate having around. I'll leave it up to your judgement.
EDIT: If you really want to make the recipe take some effort you could use the fermented spider eye in the recipe.
So something like
Fermented Spider Eye + Red Mushroom + Red Dye = Crystallized Spider Eye
Crystallized Spider Eye + Furnace = Redstone Dust
This way to make one redstone dust requires:
1 spider eye
1 sugar
1 brown mushroom
1 red mushroom
1 red dye

9 flesh to 1 leather. that one is compatable with FTB. Is yours?
See, that's just a wrong recipe. 9 dripping wet rotting pieces of flesh doesn't really make one piece of dry leather... which is one of the reasons why I made this.
And if FTB uses MC Forge, then yes. It is compatible.
Hmm. Back in August, I played with the texture of the rotten flesh. I ended with something that looked a lot less rotten, and much more like regular old flesh. I was wondering if you'd like it? I have no particular use for it.
Whether or not you use it makes no difference to me. It's just lying around, and I figured someone else could have it. I don't really even care for credit, really.

1.7.10 is total cake , nocakeing any caked recipe work , tried to make el steel now furnace kick coal out , srsly all mods that was upraded to 1.7.10 is stink cake
just delete this caking mod and install 1.6.4 they work at least or make your own mod without caking yourself all day and night because there is some caked recipe that dont caked work
