This is the updated version of my mod heatcraft2, for 1.3.2. It contains most of he functionalities that were present in the original version, with the exception of certain items that i considered useless or overpowered, along with some tweaks. In any case, please download this mod, it really helps out. I'll try to make a wiki for my mod, as it has many functionalities which would be long to explain.
Contents
Note: most of the things in this section are correct, but some things have been chaned, removed or added. I suggest downloading NEI to get a better idea of the contents of my mod. Otherwise, refer o this section for a general overview of this mod.
Getting Fireballs
You can make fireballs from 2 ways:
By smelting torches, 1:1, or by smelting Natural Gas Ore, 1:4.
Here are all the Recipes for the other kinds of fireballs:
Active Fireballs
Molten Cores
Stable Cores
Pure Heat Crystal
New fuel types
4 new types of fuel are available:
Active Fireballs, which you get by heating fireballs in a furnace. Each can cook 32 items.
Molten Cores, which you get by combining 8 Active Fireballs with a piece of cobblestone. Each can cook 128 items.
Stable Cores, which you get by combining 8 Molten Cores and a piece of ceramic, stabilizing them. Each can cook 512 items.
Pure Heat Crystals, which you get by combining 8 Molten Cores and a diamond. Highest tier of fuel, can cook up to 768 items!
Getting Ceramic
Ceramic is a prized material because it is heat resistant and looks pretty :3
First, get some clay from the ocean. You will need a lot of clay, so don't be afraid to take it all! Mixing 5 clay lumps with 4 handfulls of sand will get you 4 portions of raw, uncooked ceramic.
Then, you can cook it to get some hardened ceramic, which you can use with 8 Molten Cores to get a Stable Core, or you can put 4 together to get a neat beige-colored brick.
Tools and Armor
The tool and armor sets in this mod are great in the fact that they are as strong and efficient as diamond, but they share a very useful property:
They can all he repaired by being heated in a furnace!
(Note: In the next version (v2.2), you will need a Reheater to repair items instead of a furnace.)
All tools are crafted the same way as regular minecraft tools, but they use stable cores as a head and blaze rods as a handle, because wooden handles would just catch on fire.
The Heat Armor set is made like regular minecraft armor, but with stable cores.
New Food Type
How could I make a mod about heat, and not include the campfire food?
That's right, Heatcraft2 adds Marshmallow to the game! To make, they take 2 pints of milk, 6 pounds of sugar and some slime to hold it all together. You will get 16 portions, and each portion can fill half a hunger.
Note: if you can't find slimes, don't worry! You can make your own slimeball using a bucket of water and a lot if sugar.
Smelting in Inventory
Smelting in a furnace is all good, but what if you need to cook some iron ore as you mine it? No problem!
It is possible to use Active Fireballs to cook some items straight from your inventory or a craftig table (refer to the list below for all the items that can be cooked using Active Fireballs).
You think that your are not getting enough ingots from your ores? It is possible to double the outcome, at the cost of 1 Molten Core per ore. It is expensive, but it allows you to double your production! Below is a list of items affected by this.
Iron Ore (2 ingots/ore);
Gold Ore(2 ingots/ore);
Natural Gas Ore(8 fireballs/ore);
Sorry if my topic is not well-planned enough, I'm working hard to fix it. There's already some information in the contents section, feel free to check it.
Since it is too tough to maintain a "contents" section (I know, I'm lazy ¬¬), I made a community wiki for heatcraft2. If you guys want to help with it, go to heatcraft2.wikia.com
What happened to this mod? Why is this thread dead?
Not sure, but what I do know is that I put a lot of effort into making a lot more content to my mod, and nobody even downloaded the most recent version... plus I lost the source code of my mod, so it would take me some time to get it back. However, since everybody has lost interest in my mod, I guess i'm not gonna update do 1.4.6.
Sorry to...well, no one, since no one seems to care about my mod...

I'm in the process of converting and adding to my mod, so just wait a bit. Content will be coming soon.
Then why make the post now? you should have just waited until it was ready
(recompiling at the moment)
If you have any ideas or comments, do not hesitate to post them here, I would very much enjoy some feedback
