I really doubt it will be possible to do that anymore without refueling or replacing the mana spheres and expecting to have a redstone control, after reading more about the new way the soul cages are working, I'm not so sure this will be a useful mod anymore.

Unless you only play mods you can SEVERELY abuse, this one will remain very useful. particularly since it'll be a very easy way to get a consistent way to automate getting resources such as bone meal, blaze rods, leather, and many other mob related items. Additionally those are only the basic balance changes i have in mind. i haven't figured out what the numbers will be yet.

But that will only be a challenge once I get a RP2 version ported to 1.5.X of MC, I can't upgrade before this so no worry for now at least, I have to stay in 1.4.7

I think the issue here is that some people don't quite grasp it yet. Don't worry, they'll see the error of their ways when they see it in action.

Word to the wise, build the glowstone ender nether rack thingy horizontally, i tried vertically and it didn't work. then I realized what I was doing wrong

this is hilarious to watch! youre trying to sound like dire so hard. it might just be coincidence, but thats what i noticed with a lot of the guys, who make mod spotlights and tutorials. theyre purposely using the same phrases, expressions and phonetics as him.
dont get me wrong, the video was helpful, i just find it really really funny.
by the way, the purpose of the corrupted sword is, that its the only viable weapon for a special "soul stealer" enchantment, that comes with the mod. what it does is basically charging your soul shards faster. every level of soul stealer will give you one extra soul on your shard, when you kill a mob.
for example, if you got soul stealer 1 on your vile sword and kill one zombie with it, your soul shard will gain 2 charges.

But some people WANT an "abusively fast" mob spawner that they dont have to keep replacing and maintaining. Sure it should be expensive but it shouldn't be impossible. I WANT a very fast crazy mob spawner that doesn't have to be tended too or whatever constantly. Expensive is fine. Impossible isnt. Make the recipe require a freaking stack of diamond blocks for all I care just make it POSSIBLE.

Talk about a creeper spawner to get the massive amount of ITNT (yes ITNT not regular TNT here) required by some machines from GregTech, I currently have a special setup with 2 tier 5 creeper spawners running actually but they can't keep up with what we need to run the machines (I don't know exactly which machines, that's my brother work), I absolutely hate gregtech so much but he loves it, so he's the one doing every machine from IC2 we need, I admit that some changes are nice and reflect more real experience and cut the OP of IC2, but that's another subject here, 2 tier 5 creeper spawners and can't keep up with the demand of gunpowder, not sure how we can have more of it, working on a 3rd shard right now just for it, its good to have a vanilla home made spawner (like the ones Monkeyfarm does) ready to work when we need more shards. My trick to avoid having to light up the world, build the spawner around level 170 in the middle of a ocean biome, if you're on a server it won't really work effectively unless every player is next to your spawner but if you're lucky to have a SSP world addiction, this would help you a lot..
A little help here pls. I have a zombie soul shard. I tried to right-click with it on a zombie spawner in order to absorb it but nothing is happening. Did i miss something? What am i doing wrong?

You have the admin ban the group who is griefing the server by removing an entire element of gameplay. Another alternative is to not play on servers with douchebags such as these, go blow up their bases and steal all the endstone back, or murder them until they give you some.
