Hi, I've been having an issue where my client will freeze for up to a couple minutes at a time when trying to adjust the position of a loaded schematic, but it does not crash. It started happening with Minecraft 1.8.x and now persists in 1.9, though I had no issues using it with 1.7.x. I'm running on an Ubuntu 14.04 LTS x64 with Java 1.8.0_66. The fml log doesn't seem to contain anything pertaining to schematica at the time of the hang, unless perhaps I'm missing a verbose option. Any tips for debugging this issue?

That won't be easy to debug. You'd have to attach a debugger to the Minecraft process and check which of the active threads is stuck and where. Even if you do that, chances are that the issue won't be reproducible.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong but /schematicaReplace doesn't acknowledge smooth sandstone as a block ID.
Any help would be appreciated.
You can find the correct name (plus states if there are any) on the debug overlay (F3). It uses the standard names, ie: minecraft:stone, minecraft:diamond_ore etc.
Im currently running 1.9 version of forge and schematica. Ive been trying to create a map on the 1.9 version but once 1.10 came out, schemtica started crashing every time. Im about to update to the newer versions but will i still be able to work on my 1.9 map? Or do i have to start over on a new map for 1.10?

I don't quite understand what you mean. The latest Schematica version works only on 1.9.4, there is no 1.10 version yet. And Schematica itself does not add or remove any blocks so any save file should be safe to use with the mod. The Schematica might break however the chances for that happening are close to zero.
i am running on 1.9.4 and when i set the blue and red cords some ALOT of the blocks on the one side are missing not in randome areas
should its like its not copying them even though there in the boxed in area
also is there a way to remove blocks from a scmatic for example if i coped a building full of wooded stairs aka chairs could i remove them from the schematic

If the schematic is huge, client size limitation. The chunks unload and the blocks are no longer there - try standing in the middle instead, that might help. Alternatively you can use the /schematicaSave command (it's server side only however and won't be available in MP unless the server also has the mod installed).
You can use /schematicaReplace minecraft:stairs[variant=oak] minecraft:air to remove ALL blocks of that type.

Does that happen when loading or saving? If it's loading, nudge the schematic up and down one block to force a refresh, if it's when saving set up the points and go to the middle to capture as much of the terrain/structure as possible.
Save it like a normal schematic. When you have a schematic loaded but the markers disabled it will save your currently loaded schematic as it is.
ok saddly i have run into one last problem useing the /replace command how do i get rid of things like grass not the block
i cant get rid of it because the command wont let me use numbers like 18
i also ant to replace 43 with normal stone slabs but stone slabs rejuisters as 2 words and i also cant use the numbers for that
and what do the colours mean i know red means wrong block but what about purple and orange
it may be a glitch because the right blocks are showing up as red and orange or pink and only glass seems to be wokring
What do you mean by getting rid of grass but not the block? Replace grass with dirt?
Numbers are no longer supported by vanilla, use their proper name + state variable. You can find those on the F3 menu.
Blue is not yet placed, red is mismatched block ID, orange is mismatched state/metadata and purple is what should be air (a special type of mismatched block IDs).
Hey! Great mod, i use it a lot. I just had a feature i thought would be neat. If somewhere in the options, or maybe at some corner of the screen when you have a schematica open, it should show what kind of blocks and how many of them are in the schematica, so you know exactly what to bring. What do you think?
Not true. Ayrul needs to update Forge though.
I'm currently running 1.9.4 Schematica on Liteloader installed on Forge 1.9.4-12.17.0.1940 with Optifine 1.9.4 HD U B4
Edit: Also noticed your voxelmap is outdated, though I doubt that would cause a crash.

Yeah it doesn't accept minecraft:smooth_sandstone as a valid block.
Managed to figure it out though with
minecraft:sandstone[type=smooth_sandstone]
Which makes no sense when it comes up on the debug as a valid ID!
I know this is a Minecraft issue and not mod related, but it was driving me crazy.

will there be a 1.10 version? if so, when? Not trying to rush you just curious.
Forge needs to be updated to 1.10 first.

Are you running shaders? That screenshot looks like the result of the two conflicting.
Shaders would have a different effect. I'll need the Minecraft version and a list of all mods + their versions.

That's already a feature. In the materials tab
