(Also, i guess it is equally unlikely for this to become a bukkit ported mod via MCPC?)
Bukkit will be more or less dead after a few more versions. The bukkit team is working on full multiplayer + mod support in MC, which will replace bukkit
This is a really awesome mod! I like the idea, and was wondering if i could take a look at the code, as I am currentely making a modpack that needs something like the Gravity Well. I will give you credit, of course!

I am a map maker, modder and a avid Minecrafter (Obviously), hence, AlphaModder3

Sure, nothing stops you from looking at code. Just decompile the modified jar, and you're good to go. You won't be able to copy any particular features though. Just implementing the possibility of rotating the player takes at least 10 modified Mojang classes. Thus, it's either 'the mod as a whole', or nothing
*develops a way to make it possible using just one underused class file*
Your good to go. Wait, you want to see it? Nice try, its mine now *releases the file as a new mod that makes it possible to rotate yourself using commands*. Muahahahaaa...
xD I wouldn't do that. By the way, how goes the next release? I haven't been checking in often (School :P) but I still support this and I will do what I can to help spread it out.

Right now, I'm not updating GC + MineUp. I'm waiting for a more stable MC release to update to
Hmm...it seems it will took a months to wait for the stable MC,
but if MC 1.4 gonna release, Are you gonna start updating it?
That depends on 1.4's code. It does look like they didn't change that much regarding net code. The multiplayer code they have right now is just not sufficient to hold something like GC + MineUp. It would just take ages to build upon that
And may I ask why? I'm doing a programmer study so even if I don't get your explanation I will still find it very interesting!
Why can the MP code not handle GC?
It's not that exciting, actually
MineUp just needs to do an awful lot of restructuring. We needed to rebuild physics logic, performance, the save format, rendering, and much more. When I port this to multiplayer, I also need to do the same for packets, and predict logic, performance etc. on the client. It needs to be non-redundant, however, to make sure there aren't any desynchronizations in server and client.
To be honest, MineT already made MineUp work in multiplayer before. This time, though, I kind of need to start from scratch, because they changed the net code. The main blockade for for me right now is that Mojang's code doesn't offer general solutions, really, but rather exceptions all over the place. If you want to add a single packet type [for example], you need to edit quite a few classes in the right places. I'm just hoping that they make their code logic a little bit smarter when working on the mod API
superawsome! but it crashes if i use 128 layers my pc isent dat good can i get fewer layers?
It's a layer height of 128, not layer amount
It probably crashes because you installed it wrongly. Check for the right MC version, incompatible mods, or whatever else I noted on the OP =)
HALP!!When I Load/Create a new world,Minecraft hates me(Minecraft crashes :l)
You're probably installing the mod wrongly in some way. Make sure you run it on Minecraft 1.2.5, and have no incompatible mods installed. If you can't figure the solution out yourself, post the crashlog, so I can give you further advice =)
Alright, I've tried installing this by copying Modloader into the jar, running Minecraft to verify it works, and then installing GC+MU. It crashes right after I run it again. I've tried installing everything all in one go from a combined unpack folder, crash. I've tried to use launchers like MultiMC, crash. I tried a pre-modded copy of 1.2.5, crash. I tried disregarding your instructions and installing it through the mods folder, crash.
For some unknown reason, I can't get this bloody mod to work, which is aggravating, since I really want to play around with MineUp. If you know of a potential solution, please tell me.
Also, if it helps, I'm attempting to install Marglyph's Too Many Items, as well. I've tried everything listed above with and without TMI, though, so, I'm really at a loss when it comes to trying to figure this out.

Hm, I don't really have any 'quick' suggestions for this one.
Try using MagicLauncher, and activating the 'log' function. Then, post the log. I can tell you what you're doing wrong, then =)
you could make a worldlayer like the empty one but full of clouds
Why? The minecraft engine doesn't support more than one cloud layer atm. Even if I made a quick hack, it would just display the very same clouds multiple times (that would look quite ugly :P). I don't think really implementing it as a separate feature would be worth it
How about you try it yourself? x)
If the portal is in layer 0, and in the normal world or nether dimension, it will work as usual. Otherwise, the portal blocks will not be created =)
lol

Right now, yes. In later versions, though, it will support both ML and Forge. =)

I personally would love a link that the 1.4 jar you are using. Especially since it's not even finished yet.
On the other hand OP keep being smexy

Isn't 'underground' exactly what you're looking for? That's what I made the layer for
