Tried all three ways. First two did not work at all, third one gave me an empty log file.
We'll try one more way then. Go to minecraft.net's downloads page, click to view the downloads for other OSes, and download the one for Linux/Other. Then, in whatever folder you saved it to, shift-right-click and choose "Open command window here". Type "java -jar minecraft.jar" without the quotes and tell me what you get.
I tried a few things to see if anything changed. I tried without deleting meta-inf, black screen. I tried moving over the class files under the tlul folder, and also the class files within the subfolders of tlul, black screen. I downloaded 1.3.1 twice and tried all again, black screen. I redownloaded and extracted your mod also, black screen.
Well, without an error log, there's really not much I can do to help figure out what's going wrong. Did you get anything using the method in my previous post?

Cool, but what the real description for this mod should be "Having trouble finding Diamonds in multiplayer? Want to find other peoples base sin PvP servers? Want to ruin everyone's fun in multiplayer? Then this mod is for YOU!"
While reading your instructions I assumed it said just class files. And so I simply did not include the tlul folder.
Works now, thanks.
I was looking back through the instructions to check if there was anything I'd missed, and I was just about to edit them to clarify this. Sorry, that was a mistake on my part, I should have been more clear. Glad to hear it's working now!
Theres an extremely small annoyance when you use FullBright, it does not affect the item in your hand!
Yes, I'm aware of this. It's not terribly high on the priority list, since, as you say, it is a rather small issue, but I'll see if there's an easy way to fix it (there probably is).

Dont use this is multiplayer, please.

The fact that none of the mods you've tried installing suggests to me that you might not be installing them right. Are you sure you followed the instructions properly?
Press Ctrl+X (or Ctrl+whatever your X-ray key is). I'll add a button for it in the menu next version.
i dont have the tlul folder and idk how to get it...
In about 12 hours from now (give or take), I'll be pushing an update which will fix the hotkeys-in-chat issue, as well as add providing a way for servers to disable it (but it will be enabled by default). Depending on if I have time, I might also fix your hand being dark when fullbright is on (though that's not a terribly high priority).

Okay, if it doesn't recognize java, use this command:
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -jar minecraft.jar
And my mod does modify one basefile in Minecraft, which is why it won't work if you just remove the TLUL folder.

Comes with the mod class files. It's in the rar.
That would be a proper idea too, and I am positive that MineCraft Team would appreciate that.
You should check your Rar file, it is in there.
Exactly.
Works fine for me. Can you please explain what sort of error you're getting?
Just tried, and yes, it works.
