Then (to be blunt) that "streamer" didn't add in any upgrades to speed up processing if time was an issue.
As to why so "complicated" its not. Its called a technology tree. To progress along the tech tree you must have pre-existing technology in order to proceed.
I think Mekanism has a good balance between tech tree and what some call "complications" - if i wanted simple I'd go and play vanilla minecraft.
If you want complications I know of two other mods/mod devs that have a very intense and detailed tech tree higher then what Mekanism is currently at........
Did you do anything differently to get the download page to load? I have been trying to get a newer version of Mekanism (all parts) for over a month now and am still getting a "522" from cloudflare.
I wish Aidan would put the downloads back on Github, but can understand the necessity of securing the download from leeches that re-post it on other, unauthorized, sites.
For me the downloads just work... I only just found out that the latest versions for MC 1.7.10 were in that small screen and you had to scroll down...
Github? Why not use CurseForge, like any sane mod author? (No insult intended. )
No insult taken lol. I normally do get my Mods from Curse/CurseForge (I just don't like the mobile-like website they have created. To each their preferences, though.)
Just tried it before posting this and am still getting the "522" timeout error (3:08am here)

I'm sorry to say I haven't done anything special. Which version of MC do you use?

If I'm rude to you, just tell me. Don't take it too personally. Well, unless you were being stupid. If you were, DO take it personally.
Odds are high of me adding this to my modpack (The Time-Space Conundrum 2.0)! My community has been looking at this mod as it's been going and this may be the right time to make it part of our tech core alongside EIO.
However, and I'm sure you've probably been hounded about this before, I am still kind of weary of the extra base metals added by the mod. While I am aware you can set their per-chunk value to 0 to keep them from generating, they are still registered at init and the machines still generate them. Oredict aside, would it be much of a pain to add a compatibility mode for people who use the likes of Base Metals or Substratum? Obviously Osmium would be the exception as that does not exist in Base Metals. Just a config setting that completely prevents the metals from loading. Thanks.
Can anyone give me a hint how to create covers in Minecraft 1.10.2? I thought since Mekanism requires MC Multipart there would be a way to get the transports covered. But I don't see any saw or so to create covers. Do I miss something here or are covers not part of MC Multipart and have to be implemented by the mod using it?
Should I install Chisel & Bits to get covers that are compatible to Mekanism's transports? Or is the precision sawmill able to cut stone? JEI does not show any covers but that may be intended.

There is a mod called Simple Covers by Bdew that fills the void that Multipart missed filling.
I have a small issue with my fuelwood heaters and the boiler. I plugged three fuelwood heaters to my 4 ULTIMATE heat cables trying to get whatever power I could, but for some reason it only produces 120 mb/t of steam. I imagined the problem to be heat cap on the cables so I changed the configs where it says Heat conduction from 1.0 to 4.0. It didn't change anything (yes, ultimate heat conduit or whatever it said). So I tried to add more heat via other methods. Resistive heater + GBG + centrally powered electrolizer didn't add more than 4 mb/t to my heater (albeit having the resistive heater use 160 RF/t, the max output for electrolizer without upgrades). Then I tried adding a fourth fuelwood heater, and madness ensued. I saw temps of -1.4GK and even -7PK, with on-off cycles per tick where it flipped the - :/. I've had to break and replace the heat valve 7 times, as well as all heat conduits and fuelwood heaters (effectively wasting a lot of charcoal blocks). Anyone have any idea how to use the boiler, and whether it IS meant to power the turbine at all. I suspect the turbine drains too much steam per tick to be sustainable with anything but a fission reactor :/. Thanks for any input.
Edit: After returning configs to base values, heat conductors became stable and I now have 5 fuelwood heaters powering the boiler. I haven't tried the limits before it starts going cuckoo again, but I guess it might be a while. Any ideas on other ways to power boilers since it doesn't seem to produce that much steam (when compared to other steam production sources like RailCraft).
So the update notice is for 1.10.2? What about users who are still in 1.7.10, can we disable update notifications or something. Also, any chance we get an update anytime soon with major features? Thanks beforehand! :D.

Agreed. Waiting for Sponge to catch up and come out of bleeding before making the move over to 1.10.2.
Would be nice to have/know. Even more so when the version check isn't for the same MC version :-S
There is a newer version for MC 1.7.10 as well. It is just hard to find
on the Mekanism site. You have to go to the downloads, hover your mouse
above the download links and then scroll down.
The 9.1.0.281 update. It's the latest version for 1.7.10, but the client still notifies about the update. I found the config options that control updates though, so I guess I'll just have to stalk this forum for news regarding 1.7.10. The downside of having way too many mods that have yet to update to 1.10 xD. Thanks nonetheless!!! :D.

I just checked and I was able to download the mods direct from http://aidancbrady.com/mekanism/download/
I'd say issue is whatever couldflare server your connected through as 522 is specific to cloudflare.
You can download directly if you take the time to look but for obvious reasons I won't give a step by step guide.
