Currently, the configs have not been changed or even touched. I was originally planning to have it in-game in the mods menu, but I could not find any tutorials/documentation on it.
Individual mob health is a bit too specific. If more people request it I might consider it. I tied it to tiers mainly for convenience. When the difficulty of a game is adjusted, it usually effects everything.
I would also like to see a Biome spawn list in the config that can blacklist some mobs from biomes, and even a dimensional blacklist to stop some mobs from spawning in a whole dimension.
Everyone says to use JAS but after using it for the first time it's a pain in the butt mod and it didn't even work right when installed . Squid spawning in mass amounts all over the world even in deserts on the sand , bats all over in the nether as well with zombies, it was a mess. I only got JAS to stop GoG mobs from spawning in the twilight forest
Yes, JAS is not good a solution....its configurations are a mess, and a total pain to get right, and even then it doesn't work well. Just a percent chance of spawn per biome would be nice with a way of adding biomes to the list for mods that add them.
I have never experience having these mobs spawn in the Twilight Forest. I still have no idea what causes it.
Unfortunately the configuration for spawning is not possible with the current setup. The code involving spawning is a massive mess and cannot easily be modified in its current state. It mainly uses the BiomeDictionary and I cannot see how it could be made to accept Biomes right now.

In-game configuration doesn't look too bad to implement, here's what i could find for tutorials on the system.
That version wouldn't help me either way since that most likely won't give my server it's abilities back due to the abilities.json being loaded clientside... basically the cause of the mod not being assigned the base github abilities needs to be tracked down and fixed or it won't help me or those playing on the server at all.
The whole reason I uploaded both the jar and config is because for some reason my particular version works, and I'm just using a fork of Morph I made and the changes to the config I did. At least try it out before saying it doesn't work...

I have. Unfortunately I have no idea how to install or use APIs.
I plan to at least get the Thaumcraft API working before anything else. If I make no progress before March 23rd then I will have to go through without Thaumcraft compatibility.

Usually they're libraries of interfaces which you can implement and the parent mod can call on later without your mod having to directly reference and rely on the parent mod. It's a bit confusing at first but it's actually a very simple system.
To install them all we need to do is add their library to an appropriate directory in our workspace then rebuild with gradlew to setup it's pathing for the IDE. I've set it up for baubles but the thaumcraft api should be about the same thing.

This mod would have not broken new ground without your contributions so far :). You have no idea how long I have wanted to integrate Thaumcraft or any API into this mod. Granted, I have not tried doing it yet but I feel I can count on you based on your work so far if I cannot do it myself.

No. Baubles is a first for GoG. I plan to include it in the 1.8.9 update, along with Thaumcraft compatibility. I have not tried it myself yet as I am busy updating and adding model animations.
Sorry, the 1.8.9 update has to be delayed for a day or few. Doctor_Wiggles has made it possible for Baubles and Thaumcraft 5 compatibility so I need to adjust the item/mob aspects accordingly. I will refrain from adding more than 4-6 aspects per item/mob. With this many items and mobs one needs to set up a limit.
I guess I spent this week mostly on animations and texture adjustments. I never touched animations since making the mobs swing their arms when attacking. I have made floating mobs have that 'floaty' animation and the golems (Cobble and Cobblestone Golem) now move and attack like the Iron Golem as they were originally intended. There are small touches here and there such as blinking, the head parts not splitting from the head when looking at extreme angles and arms having the idle animation similar to the player.
This is likely my last update post. I am not sure when I will release it but all I can say it will be soon. Dragging it any further at this point will result in me suffering burnout.
For as far as I know, Thaumcraft can automatically calculate the aspects of an item from its crafting components if this crafting recipe is a crafting table or furnace recipe. However, this only works if there is just one crafting recipe available for an item. Knowing this could save you quite some time, so I thought I'd tell you.
Thanks for the thought but I noticed some items also lose/gain different aspects when they are crafted though (vanilla items). Based on my work so far the Aversio is the most constant, automatically being added as long as there is combat damage. Besides, I found out that I enjoy adding aspects to the items :). It gives them a bit of character.
My main issue though are aspects on the mobs as I do not have a direct reference compared to the items and there is a lot of them. I do not know if it is even worth it. I have have not tried Thaumcraft 5 yet but I am basing it on the opinion of someone I've been talking to. Either way I still have to do it for completionists sake. Sigh.

I will update the GitHub in a few days (because I still have no idea how the thing works) and update the wikia after my finals. I am taking a week break to make room for my finals.
Some of you may be wondering if I have plans of porting the update to 1.7.10 or 1.8; I am afraid to say that is most likely not going to happen. I do not have the time or motivation to work on it right now. And probably in the future as well. It is likely the next major update (for this mod) will happen when more mods have been ported to 1.8.9. I am mentally drained.

Whoops! I was trying to have them spawn particles when they spawn mobs but never really managed to get it working. I forgot to the remove the code after I was done playing around with it. I will release an update to address this issue in a few hours.

Sorry about that. To be honest I do not plan to play it either until my favorite mods are updated to 1.8.9. I updated it because the offer was there and my schedule IRL was a bit tame this month.

Whoops! I was trying to have them spawn particles when they spawn mobs but never really managed to get it working. I forgot to the remove the code after I was done playing around with it. I will release an update to address this issue in a few hours.
