Thanks! When you have fully uploaded all the videos I will add a link to them through the wikia.
I foresee This beautiful monster girl to appear in the distant future. Of course I know there are no promises, Silentine.
Now that I think about it, she reminds me so much of dragon quest, and I also see her being the new mob to rarely drop the metal book, if not I do see her to be a very interesting NPC.

Metal Slimes would probably just be a texture variant on normal Slime Girls. Maybe with more defense/less health (but I doubt Silentine could get them to just run away without making them copy animal behavior)

Having them act like metal slimes isn't necessary. After all they could have a completely different texture and model and not exactly a metal "slime" but just a metal girl with level 3 mob armor or higher, plus knockback immunity.
Ok so I killed several hundred swampers and minotauruses and can say that they do not drop the respective cards as it says on the wiki. I tested with a looting X sword just to be sure after going through at least 20 nights of killing those mobs each, and ended up with absolutely no cards.

As Laskeri has stated it would most likely to be a texture variant of the normal Slime Girls as I as well feel like it looks like the Metal Slimes from Dragon Quest. I feel I can get away with changing the texture that much it feels like a different model. It would be an interesting challenge to implement.

Now that you have mentioned this, it is indeed broken. Thanks for posting this as I will now release a fix soon.

If you were to implement such a mob, there are also other ways to differentiate it from the normal slime girl. e.g. spawns underground or in a specific biome like the roofed forest or extreme hills, make a special card or even the metal book a rare drop from her, and even change it to a level 2 or 3 mob. Due to its all metal nature, it could have level 3 armor with knockback resistance, but being a bit slower on the flipside. Or she could be just like dragon quest metal slimes (immunity ti magic in instant damage) and drop alot of exp when killed (as much as the wither or more.) I can also see an npc version working as she would specialize in trading iron based items and resources, vanilla or new. I can even see this opening to her being a source of better versions of vanilla tools, such as a special metal you can only obtain by trading with this npc?
I tend to avoid adding underground specific biome mobs because I feel the underground is a biome itself. I have been planning to add a rare-exp mob and a no knockback mob to the underground for a while now. Just not sure what they would be.
I don't know. I feel the design of a Metal Slime Girl would be too bland. Technically most slime girls share the same design with the sole exception of different hairstyles. If I was going to add a new mob it would have to be interesting or at least deviate enough from the standard design as the current mobs in this mod are bland themselves when it comes to AI as they have nothing interesting to offer except what already exists in Minecraft itself.
It feels like adding a "Silver Harpy" or a "Dead Dryad", it is really just a recolor or a redesign of the base texture.
Update:
Released a new version: GoG3 1.1.1. It fixes the cards not dropping from the Minotaurus and Swamper. I also added a height restriction to NPC mobs which should only affect them if they are set to naturally spawn.

That's understandable and I respect that. But there is that other Idea I had a while ago. Remember the Bedrock Golem?
Each effective rings should support Baubles.
Whoa, Grimoire updated? My 1.7.10 pack is finally complete!
how do you install the sounds, where do they go?
all the wiki says is "The file is a resource file and is installed in the folder where Resource Files are typically located"
that doesn't tell me very much, so I unzip them into the resources folder?

Has anyone created a soundpack and would like to share it?
You place the file into the resource folder. The same way one uses texture files.

THERE ARE SOUNDS NOW?!

Thanks for the response! The slime girl is my favorite of your mod's NPCs.

Hawt monster grills.

Amazing job, Sir Silentine!
I have some suggestions and would be happy to see them in the mod.
1. Implement Baubles support for the rings so they won't take your main inventory slot.
2. Configurable dimension blacklist. I'm sure you are aware of the issue where Creeps and Ender Eyes spawn in thaumcraft dimension. Gotta fix that.
3. Configurable loot chances.
Anyways, thank you for your great job.
