Have you ever wished that your sticky pistons could pull more than one block back with them? Well, with magnet pistons, that's not a problem! A magnet piston can pull up to four blocks back with it when it retracts.
To create a magnet piston, first you need to create a magnet, which can be created with 2 redstone, 2 iron, and a slimeball. Then, just craft this magnet with a piston to create a magnet piston. Magnet pistons work like sticky pistons, but when they retract, they pull multiple blocks back, anywhere from 1 to 4. The amount that they pull back can be changed by right-clicking on it.

The number of bars on the side of the piston is the number of blocks it will pull back: One block Two blocks Three blocks Four blocks
The sprites for this aren't very good, and I'd be much obliged if anyone would make some better sprites for this. I will give you credit if you do. Also, I'm rather new to modding, and don't know how to create a properties file for a mod; could anyone explain to me how to do that? Finally, I don't have good video software on my computer, and I know that this post would explain the mod much better if I had a showcase video. Feel free to make one and post it here if you like the mod! Anyway, feel free to post any suggestions or comments that you have.
nice! i like it!
i think montypylon, the creator of more pistons mod had an idea like this, maybe you two could team up or something?
Yeah, it was the more pistons mod that inspired this. A combination of the two would be quite useful: pistons that can extend up to 4 blocks and pull up to 4 blocks back with them...
gaga654 doesn't need to get permission from anybody to create his mod.Where did you get that from?
Yes, but if I'm using the double/triple/quadruple pistons that montypylon created, I should probably get permission from him, eh?
Anyway, the more pistons mod uses forge and magnet pistons do not, so I think that I will update this mod to use forge before attempting anything that would combine the two mods.

I'm not sure, but it might.

This is perfect for my auto cannon.
Reload, Reload! (4 load at once instead of 1)
Perfect, now to make a semi automatic cannon.
They are compatible, but magnet pistons cannot push or pull double/triple/quadruple pistons, and visa versa.
I would like to, but as I said in the original post, I don't yet know how to create a config file.

Nice mod! seems really helpful for redstone contraptions like moving block contraptions
